Two-division world champion Beibut Shumenov comeback fight for Vacant WBA Cruiserweight World title

Lenin Castillo conquista l'oro WBO a Ponce, Puerto Rico

magnaccia, Puerto Rico – Former Dominican Olympian Lenin Castillo (18-1-1, 13 KO) won the WBO/NABO vacant light heavyweight title in impressive fashion. Castillo defeated Aaron “Homicide” Mitchell (27-3-1, 21 KO) of Florida by way of technical knockout in the 10th and final round.

 

 

 

 

As a result of the victory, Castillo will now be ranked among the best 175 pound fighters in the WBO.

 

 

 

 

The fight was televised by DIRECTV PR as part of a card promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions at the Complejo Ferial, magnaccia, PR.

 

 

 

 

“I am very grateful to my manager Raúl Pastrana from Spartan Boxing Club, Miguel Cotto Promotions and the WBO for making this fight possible with an important title at stake that will place me among the best fighters of my weight,” Detto Castillo, “This victory is for my Dominican people, my dad, my mom and also for the Puerto Ricans who made me feel at home since I arrived on the island for the fight”.

 

 

 

 

“I prepared myself to the max and these are the results of working hard in the gym. Salita Signs Top Light Heavyweight Umar Salamov to Co-Promotional Contract

Dmitriy Salita, of Salita Promotions, proudly announces the signing of world-class light heavyweight contender Umar Salamov to a co-promotional contract, along with KA Promotions.

Salamov (20-1, 15 KO) hails from Alkhan-Kala, Russia, but is currently in Detroit training at the legendary Kronk Gym with Javan SugarHill Steward.
“Umar is a tall, rangy light heavyweight with crafty footwork and an arsenal of punches,” disse Steward. “Being that Umar is only 23 anni, his natural athleticism and creativity in the ring makes me excited to teach him that Kronk magic, which will make him a force in the strong light heavyweight division.”
“I have relocated my training base to Detroit and look forward to a big year,” said Salamov. “My goal this year is to become a mandatory challenger for a world title in one of the four sanctioning bodies and fight for a world title.”
The 23-year-old slugger has already amassed quite a collection of championships as professional. He is the former IBO Youth and World Light Heavyweight, WBO Youth World, European and International, and the IBF East/West Europe Light Heavyweight Champion.
“Umar is one of the best light Heavyweights in the world,” Detto Dmitriy Salita. “It’s a division that is packed with lots of very good fighters and big names. I believe Umar has the skills and the experience to be the best. He is only 23 years old and has lots of world-class experience on the elite level in the amateurs and the pros. Now with him training in Detroit, his skills and experience will go to new levels.”

HUMBERTO “TITO” VELAZCO SCORES SENSATIONAL KNOCKOUT IN EL PASO, TX

AGUASCALIENTES, MX (Febbraio 19, 2018) – Lo scorso Sabato, al Don Haskins Center di El Paso, TX, Promozioni zucchero light-heavyweight prospect, Humberto “Tito” Velazco (19-1-1, 14 KO), scored the knockout of the night, contro Thomas “Top Dog” Williams Jr. (20-4, 14 KO).
Velazco, who hails from Aguascalientes, Messico, rallied from an early first round knockdown, which was more of an off-balance circumstance. Velazco wasn’t hurt and evened the score in the second round with his own knockdown, catching Williams with a short right to the face, a punch he didn’t see coming. Williams survived the round but was walking on wobbly legs. Now in a rhythm, Velazco’s timing was on point as he sent Williams to the deck for the second time in round three, this time hurting him badly with combination of punches. Williams survived once again only to be stopped in round four when Velazco, a heavy-handed southpaw, blasted him with a straight left, forcing the referee to stop the bout at the 1:37 contrassegno.

A genetic freak, Velaszco stands slightly over 6″1, and has a rare combination of speed and power. His athletic pedigree runs in the family as his brother is a professional basketball player.

Velazco vs. Williams Jr. was showcased on the PBC card headlined by Victor Ortiz vs. Devon Alexander. Look for Velaszco to be back in the ring by summer, most likely in his hometown of Aguascalientes, Messico.

ASTANA, Kazakhstan (Gennaio 29, 2018) – Due divisione World Boxing Association (WBA) Campione del mondo Shumenov Beibu ha annunciato il suo ritorno oggi in una conferenza stampa tenuta nella sua nativa Kazakistan.

WORCESTER, Massa. (Gennaio 8, 2018) – Uno dei più popolari prospettive di boxe del New England, imbattuto Hartford (CT) pesi massimi leggeri Richard “Braccio di Ferro il marinaio” Rivera (5-0, 4 KO), sarà headliner il suo terzo spettacolo Sabato notte, Febbraio 10, al Palladium di Worcester, Massachusetts.
Nel quinto capitolo della “Il futuro del New England” serie, presentato da Rivera Promozioni Spettacolo (RPE), il 27-year-old Rivera incontra Kevin “KRAY 2 UNKL” Cobbs (10-2, 4 KO), combattimento da Burlington (VT), per il vacante universale Boxing Federation (UBF) New England titolo nel main event otto round.
Rivera, che era un 2016 campione Rocky Marciano torneo, è venuta fuori una sensazionale secondo turno a eliminazione diretta di 146-lotta veterano Roberto Valenzuela lo scorso dicembre 9 a Hampton, New Hampshire.
