RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

30 mai, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., Let 's Get It On Promotions, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 KOs) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 KOs) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Carson City lightweight Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”


Valdez-Sanchez and the 10-round co-feature will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m. HE / 7 h, heure. PT. Undercard bouts will stream live on ESPN+, the leading multi-sport streaming service, à partir de 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.

April 30th, RENO — The card is set for May 4th’s world-class boxing event presented by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The evening’s feature attraction matches world-ranked Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) against Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) en huit tours, super-flyweight battle. A spectacular undercard supplements the main event.

 

 

 

Undefeated heavyweight prospect and knockout machine, Frank “Freedom Fighter” Sanchez (5-0, 5 KOs), has been added to the May 4th card. Sanchez was born and raised in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. In his native country, he competed in over two-hundred boxing matches as an amatuer. He fled Cuba in 2016 and made his way to Las Vegas where he signed a managerial deal with retired Hall of Fame referee Richard Steele. Sanchez will be fighting veteran Lamont Capers (9-11) in a six-round battle.

 

 

 

Carson City lightweight Diego Elizondo (2-0) will be fighting the very tough Canton Miller (3-1) dans un match de quatre tours.

 

 

 

In a six-round cruiserweight bout, U.S.. Army Veteran Blake “The Beast” McKernan (7-0, 5 KOs) of Sacramento will be facing Mexico’s Daniel Arambula (4-2).

4 avril, RENO — Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa are pleased to announce “The Main Event” – an exciting night of world-class professional boxing Friday, May 4th, 2018 au Reno / Sparks Convention Centre. Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) vs. Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) are matched in the main event.

 

 

 

 

In a sensational eight-round super-flyweight bout, Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez will be facing his toughest foe yet. Reno boxing fans remember Ricardo Sandoval (Tijuana, MX) when he faced the tough Brent Venegas last November. Sandoval earned the decision over Venegas in an action-packed brawl. Sandoval has earned three more wins since then. Many consider Vasquez vs. Sandoval to be a pick-em fight.

 

 

 

 

“It’s a coinflip.” Says Let’s Get It On Promotions’ Tommy Lane. “Both guys come forward, both like to exchange punches. It will be a very exciting fight.”

 

 

 

 

Vasquez, who is ranked in the top 15 à poids mouche, is knocking at the door of a big opportunity. Sandoval has quickly earned a name for himself at the super flyweight division as well. A win for either will surely present bigger opportunities.

 

 

 

 

An exciting undercard will supplement Vasquez vs. Sandoval on May 4th.

 

 

 

 

Carson City lightweight Diego Elizondo (2-0) and Reno’s rising star Ricardo “The Dreamer” Lucio-Galvan (2-0, 2 KO), a featherweight, will both be returning to the ring that evening in separate bouts. Lucio-Galvan, also a sophomore at UNR, is coming off of a sensational second-round TKO victory over Kenny Guzman on the Beltran vs. Moses card in February.

 

 

 

 

Cruiserweight Blake “The Beast” McKernan (7-0, 5 KOs) of Sacramento will be making his way over the mountains to fight May 4th. McKernan, an Army Veteran who served in Iraq, is looking to remain undefeated in a six-round bout.

18 octobre, RENO — Let 's Get It On Promotions et Atlantis Casino Resort et Spa sont heureux d'annoncer une soirée passionnante de la boxe professionnelle de classe mondiale Samedi, 17 novembre, 2017 au Reno / Sparks Convention Centre. La carte sera co-tête d'affiche par la sensation légère Gabriel Flores Jr., et Oscar Vasquez propre de Reno dans des épisodes distincts.

 

Le plus jeune Top Rank Inc. signé combattant, Gabe Flores Jr. (4-0, 3KOs) est une ascension fulgurante dans le jeu de combat. le Stockton, CA-dix-sept ans parvient à se battre comme il termine l'école secondaire. VASQUEZ AND FLORES CO-HEADLINE TENTH ANNUAL FALLON “RURAL RUMBLE” 8/12

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. Le 12 août fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) de Stockton, COMME.

 

Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez, who was recently ranked #15 flyweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization, is coming off of a dominant unanimous decision victory over Armando Vasquez in June. He looks to further his world title campaign against veteran Javier Gallo (24-13-1) who is coming off of an impressive upset split decision victory over Jose Salgado in April. Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

 

L'invaincu, passionnant, and youngest-ever signed Top Rank Inc. boxer Gabriel Flores makes his return to Northern Nevada at this year’s Rural Rumble. In his professional debut on May 5th, Flores delighted the Reno fight fans by impressively knocking out Devon Jones. On June 30th, he scored his second consecutive KO over Jahaziel Vasquez in Texas. .

 

Four other bouts are scheduled for 12 août in Fallon. Carson City’s own Diego Elizondo will be making his anticipated professional debut in a four-round lightweight fight. After impressing the boxing fans in Fallon last year, undefeated Northern California favorite Pedro Moreno (6-0) returns to the 2017 Rural Rumble in a lightweight bout. Reno Jr.-flyweight, Santos Vasquez, looks to continue his third win in a row in a six-round bout. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, trop, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.

June 8th, RENO — The final touches for Samedi world-class boxing event have been finalized by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa. The full professional boxing card will take place At Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom 7 PM Samedi.

 

June 11th’s card will be headlined by Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez (9-1) as he faces Mexico’s Javier Lapizco (7-3) of in an eight-round flyweight bout.

 

Oscar’s younger brother, Santos, will also be fighting Samedi. Santos will be fighting Nestor Hernandez of Seattle, WA in a junior-flyweight bout.

 

Two of Reno’s amateur boxing stars will be making their highly-anticipated professional debuts in separate bouts. Alec McGee will be debuting in four-round fight in the bantamweight division against Mulapi Enjani of San Diego, COMME. Kenny Davis Jr. will be fighting Jose Luis Gallegos of Bakersfield, CA in a four-round featherweight bout.

 

In a four-round junior-lightweight contest, Sacramento’s Rafael Busuioe will face Kevin Davila of Seattle.

MAY 18th, RENO — Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa are pleased to announce an evening of world-class professional boxing on Samedi, 11 juin, 2016 in Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom. The evening’s main event will feature is local Reno favorite Oscar Vasquez (9-1). Vasquez, a popular local flyweight, will be featured in an eight-round bout.

 

Vasquez, who recently entered into a long-term promotional agreement with Let’s Get It On Promotions, looks to continue his campaign towards world title contention. Dans son dernier combat, Vasquez scored a sensational knockout win over Jose Toribio in Fallon, Nevada.

OSCAR "CHAPITO" VASQUEZ Partitions Big K.O. SAMEDI

25 août, RENO, — Poids mouche Oscar "Marquee" Vasquez (9-1 2 KOs) gagné sa neuvième victoire en arrêtant de San Diego José Toribio (6-2) Samedi nuit à Fallon, Nevada.

 

Le concours prévu huit rondes a été remplie d'action de la cloche d'ouverture avec les deux combattants ayant leurs moments. Vasquez est coincé à la boxe tout en Toribio a poussé l'action. Comme le combat déplacé aux rondes finales, Toribio a commencé à débarquer plus de coups que lui avait pu lors des cycles précédents. Dans le septième round, un territoire inexploré pour les deux combattants, Vasquez a décroché un crochet vicieux gauche au corps, qui a paralysé Toribio. Il était incapable de récupérer.

 

Ce fut le premier concours prévu huit rondes pour les deux. Ce fut un combat difficile et divertissant qui a obtenu la foule le nord du Nevada sur lui est des pieds. Bien que Fallon est pratiquement la ville natale de Vasquez, les fans ont exprimé avec enthousiasme leur appréciation pour le jeu Toribio suite.

17 mars, RENO — Jr de Reno. Poids mouche perspective Oscar Vasquez améliore à 8-1 par décisionnelle Cesar Sustaita du Mexique (3-2, 3 PRIX) dans un combat de six rondes Samedi à Las Vegas.

Dans une action emballés, toe-to-toe affrontement, Sustaita matched Vasquez’s aggression throughout the fight with Oscar landing the cleaner punches. In a heated exchange in the sixth round, un crochet du gauche terrassé Sustaita, mais il a récupéré et a combattu à la cloche finale.

 

“I knew he was strong and had power.” Says Vasquez. “So I set him up for every big punch by going to the body. I took him to the late rounds, aller pour le knock-out.

10 mars, RENO — Jr de Reno. Poids mouche perspective Oscar Vasquez (7-1, 1 KO) est prévue pour lutter contre ce samedi à Las Vegas.

Présenté par Pochiro Promotions et RHP, “Showdown at Sam’s Town 3” will once again feature a night of world class professional boxing at Sam’s Town resort. In a Jr. Poids mouche six rondes déchets, Vasquez est réglé pour faire face Cesar Sustaita (3-1, 3 KOs) de Chihuahua, Mexique.

 

Vasquez has put together quite the winning streak over the past two years. Une victoire Samedi ferait avancer sa campagne dans le Jr. Flyweight division. He held training camp in Los Angeles, CA avec l'entraîneur Nico Robledo.
