Miguel Madueño to Fight in WBA Title Elimination Bout Against Jezzrel Corrales on March 12th

ORANGE, SEPERTI (Mac 7, 2022) – Thompson Boxing’s unbeaten lightweight contender, Miguel “El Explosivo” Madueño (27-0, 25 KOs), who is known for his explosive power and exciting fights, now has the chance of a lifetime as he faces former world champion Jezzrel Corrales (25-4, 10 KOs), in WBA lightweight title eliminator. The 12-round bout will take place at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, Panama on March 12, 2022, on a “KO to Drugs” event hosted by the WBA.


The 23-year-old Madueño is looking to change his life forever as a win would put him in line to be a mandatory challenger for the WBA lightweight world champion, which is currently held by George Kambosos Jr. (20-0, 10 KOs), one of the biggest names in the sport.


“I want to thank my promoter Thompson Boxing for guiding my career in such a great way,” said Madueño, who is currently riding a 13-fight knockout streak. “They provided a way to get in me in a position to display my skills to the world. This is my moment, and I will raise to the occasion as I want to be Thompson Boxing’s next great world champion.”

George “El YuYu” Acosta Speaks on Career Defining Win Against Gadwin Rosa

LOS ANGELES, SEPERTI (Mei 10, 2021) – Thompson Boxing Promotions’ super featherweight prospect, George “El Yuyu” Acosta (12-1, 1 KO), picked a career-defining win this past Friday, Mei 7, 2021, as he defeated Gadwin Rosa(11-2, 9 KOs), at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL. Dengan kemenangan itu, Acosta captured the vacant WBA Fedecentro Super Featherweight title. Acara ini telah dinaikkan pangkat oleh All-Star Boxing and televised by Telemundo.

“I’m ready to step up and challenge all the top contenders at 130 pound,” said Acosta. “I have never been one to call out names, but I know that I am deserving of a high-profile fight. Ruben Villa stops Mora in one for second straight first round knockout

Onatario, SEPERTI. (September 23, 2016)–Heralded featherweight prospect Ruben Villa made it two-for-two in first round stoppages as he took out Jose Mora at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, California.
Villa dropped Mora with a right hook, and then stepped on the gas with a flurry of power punches until the fight was stopped at 2:31.
Villa of Salinas, California now has two knockouts.
“Ruben has been very impressive in his first two outings,” kata Promosi Banner Presiden, Artie Pelullo. “We will have him back on November 4th on the undercard of our fight card in Corona, California.”
“The fight went as expected,” said Ken Thompson, president of Thompson Boxing Promotions. “Ruben was sensational in earning his second straight knockout win. It’s very early in his career, but you can already tell how special he is.”

Crown, California (Mei 26, 2015)--Hujung minggu Hari Peringatan dimulakan dengan ledakan ketika Andrey Fedosov dan John Thompson dinobatkan sebagai Boxcino 2015 juara dalam kelas Berat dan Jr. Bahagian kelas menengah dengan penghentian kemenangan mengatasi Donovan Dennis dan Brandon Adams pada masa lalu Jumaat malam di Arena luar Omega Produk.

John Thompson ready to win Boxcino title tonight

Crown, California (Mei 22, 2015)-–Malam ini at the Omega Products Outdoor Arena, John Thompson (16-1, 5 Ini KO) looks to win the Boxcino Jr. Middlweight championship when he takes on Brandon Adams in the finale of ESPN Jumaat Melawan Malam.

Thompson weighed in at a ready 153.2 di Khamis weigh in and he looks in prime shape to not only win the title but enter the world rankings.
“John has been really working hard in Virginia. This is his 2nd training camp down there and after his layoff we have really seen the improvement and his confidence,”said Thompson’s promoter Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions.
Thompson, who literally entered the tournament at the last second when Cleotis Pendarvis failed to make weight for his opening round bout with Ricardo Pinnel. Thompson went out and boxed very soundly to win the unanimous decision.
In his semifinal bout with previously undefeated Stanyslav Skorokhod, Thompson peppered the undefeated Ukrainian fr.om the outside and mixed it up on the iniside en route to winning the split decision on April 10 di Bethlehem, PA.

Zarate, a southpaw, makes life difficult for opponents by using an unlimited energy supply to launch punches from all sorts of angles. He’s elusive in that he darts in and out of danger spots, which makes landing combinations on him a difficult matter.

 

“I try not to stay in the same spot for too long,” said the 23-year-old Zarate. “By moving and changing the pace, my opponents typically can’t time my movements.”
