Hij neemt het op tegen Jason Jackson in wat weer een opwindende clash zal worden. Lima is een van de meest ervaren vechters op het Bellator-roster en hoopt iets aan de zijne toe te voegen 32 carrière overwinningen. In de weg staat de formidabele uitdaging van "The Ass Kicking Machine", die trouw presteert aan zijn bijnaam met vijf opeenvolgende overwinningen. De meest recente overwinning van Jackson was een overtuigende unanieme beslissing die zegevierde Paul Daley bij Bellator 260 en hij hoopt zijn sterke professionele staat van dienst voort te zetten.

Na een verwoestende knock-out overwinning over Yanick geluk in zijn grootste test tot nu toe bij Bellator 267 vorig jaar in Londen, Luke Trainer zal proberen zijn ongeslagen professionele record uit te breiden tot zes gevechten terwijl "The Gent" het opneemt tegen Simon Biyong. Met beide vechters die over echte knock-outkracht beschikken, de Kameroener zal hopen bovenaan te komen in de opvallende uitwisselingen en een partijdige menigte het zwijgen op te leggen. Trainer keert terug naar zijn thuisland om zijn reis als een van Bellators snelst rijzende sterren voort te zetten na een explosieve prestatie van de vorige keer.

Naast de eerder genoemde aanvallen, Londenaar Alfie "The Axe Man" Davis (14-4) is ook van plan een thuiskomst te maken als hij het opneemt tegen landgenoot Tim "Het experiment" Wilde (14-4) in een lichtgewicht voorronde. Het paar zou elkaar ontmoeten 2020 maar zullen botsen voor hun huisgetrouwen in een huiselijke botsing die zeker de aandacht zal trekken van Engelse vechtfans. "The Axe Man" zal op zoek gaan naar de vorm waarin hij vier gevechten ongeslagen ging voordat hij de laatste keer bij Bellator een unanieme beslissing verloor 259. Wilde zal echter niet in een meegaande bui zijn, aangezien hij voor het eerst in zijn Bellator-carrière drie opeenvolgende overwinningen wil behalen.

Er is nog een Engels talent te zien in de vlieggewichtdivisie voor dames als voormalig titeluitdager Kate Jackson (11-5-1) neemt het op tegen de Griekse atleet Elina "Kanonnier" Kallionidou (8-4). HONOLULU - On the same night as Bellator and the USO Present: Salute the Troops, Bellator is proud to announce the signing of United States Marine Corps veteran and established flyweight competitor Liz Carmouche (13-7) een exclusieve meerjarige, multi-gevecht contract.

Barnett is no stranger to the devoted MMA fanbase in Hawaii, fighting for regional Hawaiian promotion Superbrawl in 1999 en 2000, a stint that included three fights in one night to win the Superbrawl 13 zwaargewicht toernooi. VALERIE ‘TROUBLE’ LETOURNEAU ALSO SET FOR BELLATOR DEBUT AGAINST KATE JACKSON

DE ENGELEN - Two of Bellator’s top recent free agent signings, Michael McDonald (17-4) en Valerie Letourneau (8-6), will both make their long-awaited promotional debuts during Bellator 191 at Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England on Vrijdag, December. 15.

 

“Mayday” will take on Peter Ligier (8-1-1) in a bantamweight main event, while “Trouble” will compete at flyweight against Kate Jackson (9-2-1) in de co-main event. Bovendien, British heavyweights collide when James “The Colossus” Thompson (20-16, 1 NC) returns to the Bellator cage where he meets Philip De Fries (13-6, 1 NC). Eindelijk, two lightweight contests have also been added, as Jeremy Petley (11-8) battles Lewis Monarch (9-2) and Ash Griffiths (4-4) takes on Mohammad Yahya (3-1).

Op slechts 26 jaar, McDonald will enter the Bellator cage with experience against some of the top bantamweights the sport of MMA has to offer, including Renan Barao, John Lineker, Urijah Faber and Brad Pickett. A veteran of the WEC and UFC veteran, the Modesto, Calif.-native signed with Bellator following a nine-fight, five-year run with his former promotion. Met 15 finishes in his 17 wint als een professional, McDonald will look to hand Ligier his first stoppage loss of his career.

 

Hailing from Paris, Frankrijk, Ligier turned pro in 2013 and has competed exclusively on the European circuit throughout his 10-fight career. Also known as “BadAzz,” the 31-year-old has finished his opponent in five out of eight opportunities, amounting to an impressive finishing rate of 63%. Now making his debut with Bellator, Ligier formerly competed for BAMMA in 2014.

 

The Canadian-born Létourneau, a former UFC strawweight title challenger, carries an impressive track record of thrilling fights, highlighted by a world title contest against former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Nu, moving up to her more natural weight class, the 34-year-old American Top Team product will make her debut for Bellator. On Dec. 15, “Trouble” will look to improve upon her eight victories as a professional, a tally that includes five finishes, with four coming by way of knockout.

 

Fresh off a victory over Colleen Schneider at Bellator 182 in augustus, the victory gave Jackson five wins in a row, including four stoppages. Jackson hasn’t lost since May of 2013, a period which also included a run on reality television show The Ultimate Fighter seizoen 23. Hailing from Lostwithiel, Cornwall, Engeland, Jackson will have the home crowd to her advantage at Bellator 191.
