“This is really a big fight for me. I know that Ashley Theophane is going to come to fight, because he has something to prove. He’s going to try to take my world title.
“A lot of people told me I wouldn’t be here. I come from nothing. Like cereal and water nothing. I’m very fortunate to have someone like Floyd to look up to. I don’t want to be like Floyd though, I don’t want to be like any man. I admire him and respect him, but I’m creating my legacy.

At just 20-years-old, Martin is entering his third year in the professional ranks. A busy 2015 saw him take home four victories, including his first three six-round bouts. He will fight in his hometown of D.C. for the second time on Abril 1.
Another rising prospect at just 21-years-old, Harris has stayed busy since turning pro in June 2014 with a first-round stoppage of George Palmer. Most recently the Hyattsville, Maryland born fighter picked up victories over Irvin Hernandez, Rafael Vazquez, Carlos Acevedo and Sean Lockhart in 2015.
Llorer, Maryland’s Nicholson is another prospect that has been keeping busy since turning pro and will look for another great performance in front of a friendly D.C. crowd. The 23-year-old impressively stopped veteran Milton Nunez in the first round of their October 2015 lluita.

En l'esdeveniment principal, Brandon Bennett (19-1, 8 Nocauts) s'enfrontaran amb l'ex reptador mundial Jonathan Maicelo (21-2, 12 Nocauts) en un combat de pes lleuger programat per al 10 rondes.

Bennett, de Cincinnati, Ohio ha estat entrenant dur per Maicelo, que ha desafiat per un títol mundial interí.

“La capacitació ha estat bona. He estat en el pes durant uns dies. Ha sigut 2 mesos durs, però la part difícil de la formació i la dieta ha acabat i estic preparat per lluitar,” va dir Bennett.

Bennett, de Cincinnati, OH has a record of 19-1 amb 8 nocauts. La 27 year-old has been a professional for seven years and won his first 16 bouts which included a win over John Nater (9-1). Since suffering his only defeat, Bennett has won three in a row which has been highlighted with a with a win over previously undefeated Rodney Pierre-Paul (7-0) and his last bout when he stopped Rondale Hubbert (10-1-1) in three rounds on May 29 a Filadèlfia.

Maicelo of North Bergen, NJ has a record of 21-2 amb 12 nocauts. He began his career in his native Peru in 2005. He racked up 17 wins and in the process won the WBC Latino Lightweight title and the WBA Fedecentro Lightweight title. He has wins over former world title challengers Daniel Attah and Fernando Angulo and also has a win over Art Hovhannisyan. En la seva última baralla, Maicelo lost a 12-round unanimous decision to Darleys Perez for the Interim WBA Lightweight championship on January 9 in Santa Ynez, Califòrnia.

Atlantic City, Nova Jersey (Maig 20,2015)–Aquest divendres nit,Maig 22, boxing returns to the Claridge in Atlantic City with a full 9-bout card promoted by King’s Promotions in association with DeeLee Promotions.
Welterweight Bryant Perella will take part in his first eight-round bout when he takes on tough German Perez.

Perella, 26 years-old of Lehigh Acres, Florida té un registre de 8-0 with seven knockouts and has stopped five straight.
He already has quality victories over Benito Tovar (3-0-1), which was a first-round stoppage and his last bout when he stopped Justin Johnson in four rounds onFebrer 20.

“For me to have my first eight round fight is a step up. This step up will really help me. I am going to relax and box then I will be able to break him down and get him out of there.”
Perella is dedicating the fight to 18-year old Devin Raynaer who recently passed away in a car accident.
“He was a friend of mine and I am dedicating this bout to him. I just want to thank my fans for supporting me and I am ready for an exciting fight.”
