NUR-SULTAN, Kazahstan (Listopad 20, 2019) – Kazakh Power was on display at yesterday’sM-1 Challenge 105, in Nur-Sultan, Kazahstan, in which they won five of six fights, including a pair of M-1 Challenge titles, and a draw.

In the main event and a rematch, Sergej Morozov (16-4), Kazahstan, fended off American challengerJosh “The Finisher” Rettinghouse (16-5), winning a five-round unanimous decision to successfully defend his M-1 Challenge bantamweight title.

Morozov won his fifth straight and sixth fight in his last seven since his original match and loss to Rettinghouse. Morozov captured the M-1 Challenge bantamweight title last June atM-1 Challenge 102, also held in Nur-Sultan, when he stopped previously unbeatenalexander Osetrov U četvrtom kolu.

Almabaev (11-2), fighting out of Kazakhstan, was a relatively late replacement for his fellow countryman, former M-1 Challenge Interim flyweight championArman Ashimov, who was forced to withdraw due to an injury suffered during training camp.

Improving his M-1 Global record to 3-0, Almabaev took a five-round unanimous decision from Kelades, who was making his first title defense. Almabaev has positioned himself for a showdown with undisputed M-1 Challenge flyweight titlistAlexander Doskalchuk, who is recovering from an injury.

Once again, M-1 Global presented a true International event with 11 different countries represented in The Rage: Kazahstan, SAD, Kanada, Bjelorusija, Rusija, Brazil, Kirgistan, Kuba, Azerbejdžan, Sweden and Georgia.

Feared striker Magomed Idrisov (7-0-0, M-1: 4-0-0), of Russia captured the M-1 Challenge bantamweight title by knocking out defending champion Ivan “To je” Buchinger (31-5-0, M-1: 6-1-0), boreći iz Slovačke, who rode a 10-fight win streak into M-1 Challenge 73, Idrisov put Buchinger to sleep with one devastating punch in the opening round for a shocking ending.

NAZRAN, Ingušetiji, Rusija (Prosinac 9, 2016) – Rising Russian MMA star Magomed Idriosov knocked out Ivan “To je” Buchinger in the opening round of Večeras je M-1 Challenge 73: Bitka Narts main event to become M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion.

Two of the best middleweight fighters in the world, Emeev (15-3-0, M-1: 9-1-0) and Tokov (24-3-0, M-1: 8-2-0), battled from to start to finish as Emeev won a three-round split decision for his fourth consecutive victory.

Undefeated Russian Moysar Evoloev remained undefeated (6-0-0, M-1: 6-0-0) by taking a three-round unanimous decision over American Lee “Američki buldog” Morrison (15-8-0, M-1: 2-5-0) at a 140-pound (63.5 kilograma) catchweight.
Russian lightweight Khamzat Dalgiev (8-1-0, M-1: 5-1-0), fighting at home in Ingushetia, chocked British-invader Christian “The Animal” Holley (10-3-0, M-1: 0-1-0) into a submission in the second round.
Closing out the Main Card, American bantamweight “Punisher” Josh Ispravak kuća (14-4-0, M-1: 2-0-0) stopped his Kazakh opponent, Sergej Morozov (6-2-0, M-1: 3-2-0), u prvom krugu.

A super showdown between M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramazan Emeev(14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) and KO artist specialist Anatolij Tokov (24-2-0, M-1: 9-1-0) će naslov M-1 Challenge 73: Bitka Narts in a battle of elite Russian fighters.

Morrison (15-7-0, M-1: 2-4-0) and Rettinghouse (13-4-0, M-1: 1-0-0) are both fighting out of the state of Washington.
Morrison faces undefeated Russian prospect Moysar Evoloev (5-0-0, M-1: 5-0-0) in a fight contested at a 140-pounds (63.5 kilograma) catchweight. Morrison is a grappler (see photo below with him in top position) who defeated current M-1 Challenge bantamweight title-holder Pavel Vitruk by decision at M-1 Challenge 58.
Fighting at home in Ingushetia, Evloev is also a grappler who is coming off a first-round knockout of Alexander Krupenkin this past May at M-1 Challenge 66 (na slici dolje).
Rettinghouse, the King of the Cage prvak, poprima Sergej Morozov (6-1-0, M-1: 3-1-0) in a bantamweight with future title implications for the winner.
A submission master who has a strong Brazilian Ju-Jitsu background, Rettinghouse is coming off his successful M-1 Global debut this past May at M-1 Challenge 66, in which Rettinghouse stopped Vadim Zhloboch in the opening round due to an injury.
Morozov, fighting out of Kazakhstan, is an outstanding striker and well-rounded MMA fighter. He was on the wrong end of the M-1 Challenge 68 Fight of the Night last July in a loss by decision to Rafael Dias.
Na M-1 Challenge 59, Morozov (na slici dolje) was awarded the Knockout of the Night award for his demolishing of Andy Young a year ago July.
An impressive victory will position the Rettinghouse-Morozov winner for a potential M-1 Challenge bantamweight title fight with defending champion Vitruk.
