Peter Welch’s Gym had seven winners last night: open – Hyde Park welterweight Jennifer Perella and Brookline light welterweight Abraham Nova; novice – Dorchester lightweightJonathen DePina եւ միջին Brian Lawrence, East Boston lightweight Claire Duffy թեթև քաշային կարգ, Boston light welterweight Katie Gregory and Franklin heavyweight Jared Gately.
Lowell West End Gym and Grealish Boston had the second-most winners last evening with two apiece.
Last night, 15 matches went the distance, including several upsets, along with one technical knockout and a two walkovers.
All CNE finals winners qualified to compete in the upcoming New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, սկսելով next Thursday night with the semifinals of the novice division.

(Հունվար 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (ավելի մեծ է Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion Xavier Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (MA), էր 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, NH.

Returning New England Golden Gloves Champion Xavier Vega in action this Thursday night at Central N.E. semifinals in Lowell

LOWELL, Զանգված. (Հունվար 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Xavier Vega, Հյուրատետր Lawrence (MA), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Jan. 8) in the Central New England (ավելի մեծ է Lowell) semifinals of the 70րդ annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (NH) մրցակիցը Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, who has a 33-3 սիրողական ռեկորդային, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, եթե ոչ, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.
