RJJ Boxing Official Results

BILOXI, Perdere. (Marzo 5, 2021) – Fort Worth (TX) peso medioJohn “The Phenom” Vera fermatoCleotis Pendarvis in the opening round of last night’s RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS main event at Biloxi Conference Center in Biloxi, Messico.

RJJ Boxing was streamed live and exclusively on UFC FIGHT PASS®, the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports. To sign up for UFC FIGHT PASS, si prega di visitare il sitowww.ufcfightpass.com

Vera vs. Pendarvis suddenly and surprisingly ended midway through the opening round, when Pendarvis (21-8-2, 9 KO), a former USBA champion, stopped throwing punches and went to his knees. He was counted out with what is believed to be a hand injury.

"Bene,” Vera (20-1, 12 KO) said after the fight, “the way my fight ended was anticlimactic. I was feeling really good and calm in there. I was just finding my range, establishing my jab and calculating. He threw a jab to the body and I blocked it with my elbow. I felt his knuckle hit my elbow. Sucked ut ended that way, ma cosa si può fare?"

Vera has now won his last two fight since suffering his only loss as a professional back in 2018, when he traveled to France as a world rated fighter to take onMichel Soro(31-2-1) for the WBA Interim junior middleweight title, in which Vera lost a 12-round unanimous decision.

In Vera’s previous fight this past in August, “The Phenom” won a 6-round unanimous decision in Las Vegas overRavshan Hudaynazarov (17-2), a former world-rated fighter from Uzbekistan.

“I would like to get in the ring as soon as possible,” Vera added. “I wanted rounds, so it’s time to get right back in there. I’m unscathed and in shape.”

Nel caso in cui co-optional, ABF West super lightweight championChriston Edwards (12-2, 6 KO) won a 6-round unanimous decision from Texas welterweightJonathan Steele (9-7-1, 6 KO) in a non-title fight.

Eridson Garcia (11-0, 7 KO), of Houston by way of the Dominican Republic, won a split decision againstJose Miguel Diaz Valenzuela (6-1, 1 KO), di Phoenix, in a battle of undefeated super featherweights. Scoring, anche se, was odd as Garcia won 60-54 e 59-55, but the third judge scored it a draw, 57-57.

Tennessee super leggeroTyler "Short Fuse" Tomlin è rimasto imbattuto, migliorando a 10-0 (6 KO) with a quick stoppage of overmatched Venezuelan veteranRicardo Ocampo (12-11, 7 KO), who was knocked out at the 53-seconds mark of round one.

John Vera returns to ring with win

RJJ BOXING ON UFC FIGHT PASS

RISULTATI UFFICIALI

LAS VEGAS (Agosto 3, 2019) – World Boxing Council (WBC) female World super featherweight champion Eva Wahlstrom retained her title by fighting to a 10-round split draw last night with challenger Ronica “Queen” Jeffrey at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Wahlstrom vs. Jeffrey was the main event on another RJJ Boxing on UFC FIGHT PASS series installment, which was streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS®, servizio digitale leader a livello mondiale di sottoscrizione per gli sport da combattimento

RJJ Boxing Promotions offered free admission to reward its loyal Las Vegas fans and 5,400 turned out to watch the action.

Wahlstrom (22-1-2), fighting out of Finland, was coming off a loss by decision to undefeated Irish starKatie Taylor this past February at famed Madison Square Garden in New York City. The skilled Finn has been the WBC titlist since 2015 and this was her fifth successful title defense.

Jeffrey (17-1-1, 1 KO), a former IWBF world champion from Brooklyn, was riding a four-fight win streak going into last night’s fight against Wahlstrom.

Wahlstrom and Jeffrey are both tactical, pure boxers who fought that way last night, going back and forth without either being hurt. It was an even fight that could have gone either way with judgeTim Cheatham scoring it a draw (95-95), Richard Ocasio slightly favored Walstrom (96-94), eLisa Giampa inexplicitly had Jeffrey winning all 10 round (100-90).

Tony Lopez, Jr. plans to get back into bantamweight mix by defeating unbeaten prospect “L'assassino dalla faccia da bambino” Max Ornelas

MAX ORNELAS vs. TONY LOPEZ
Vacant WBA NABA United States Bantamweight Championship
Sabato notte, Aprile 20, 2018 ● Cox Pavilion ● Las Vegas, Nevada
Aprile 20 on beIN Sports live from Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (Aprile 4, 2018) – Mexican bantamweight Tony Lopez, Jr. (13-3, 4 KO) believes an impressive victory April 20th over his Roy Jones Jr., Promozioni di boxe (RJJ) stablemate, unbeaten bantamweight prospect “L'assassino dalla faccia da bambino” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KO), will get him back in the mix.

Ornelas vs. Lopez, Jr., presented RJJ Boxing Promotions, will air live on beIN Sports, a partire da 10 p.m. E / 7 p.m. PT, from Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada at Las Vegas campus.

The vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (Anche) USA bantamweight title will be on the line in the eight-round main event.

A UNLV sophomore who lives in Las Vegas, the 19-year-old Ornelas is ranked by the World Boxing Association (WBA) at No. 14 al mondo. “I’ve had several fights where my role was reversed, and I was fighting in my hometown in front of my fans, friends and family,” Dallas resident Lopez, Jr. spoke about fighting Ornelas on the road. “I wanted to put on a show and they were screaming like crazy before the opening bell. Once the fight started, anche se, I didn’t see or hear them. It was just me and my opponent. I’ve fought in Las Vegas a few times and I’m comfortable fighting him (Ornelas) là. I understand that this is part of my job, a requirement, regardless of fighting him in his hometown. I like pressure.

Lopez, Jr. was born in Mexico, but he’s lived nearly his entire life in Texas. Suo padre,Tony Lopez, Sr., was an ex-fighter from Mexico who got his son into boxing when he was six. Ora, Lopez, Jr. fights for Roy Jones, Jr.

It’s surreal,” the rugged southpaw admitted. “I’m fighting for a living legend, arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time. He knows me, he’s seen me fight. It’s an honor to wear his gear, not only as a fan of his, but to represent his company. It’s one of the coolest things in this business.

Ornelas is also promoted by RJJ Boxing Promotions and they’ve fought together on two RJJ cards. They’re familiar with each other and, if styles truly make great fights, this one could turn out to be an instant classic.

“E ' (Max) a very clean fighter, by the books, not wanting to get into scrapes,” the 24-year-old Lopez spoke about his opponent. “He strides and moves, not looking to bang or exchange. He likes to fight on the outside, using his size and length. He’s fast but doesn’t have a lot of power. It’s hit and not get hit for him. He has a lot of holes and me being the more experienced fighter, I plan to expose some of those holes.

Back in May of 2016, I fought and undefeated opponent, Jerren Cochran (11-0-1), and I knew it was an audition for Roy and RJJ. I came out in a full attack mode because I wanted to make a statement. ((Lopes knocked our Cochran in the second round.) I’m looking to make another statement this time around by fighting like I did earlier in my career.

I’m faster, stronger and have better head movement than him. I’m still young but I have more life experience than him (Ornelas). I’m still young, solo 24, but I have more experience than him going into this fight. I’ve fought a former world champion (Rico Ramos). I’m part of a new team and my FHG Gloves teammates are Giovanni Vera, who just fought for a world title, e Edwin Vasquez. An impressive victory will put me right back in the mix for a big Saturday night fight for an even bigger title.

Unbeaten World Boxing Council (WBC) United States welterweight champion Grimaldello “Quiet Storm” Williams (14-0-1, 5 KO), a former college football player from New Haven, Connecticut, tangles with Houston’s Marchese Taylor (8-1, 0 KO) in otto round, co-featured event..

Highly-touted Uzbekistan-native Elnur Abduraimov, now fighting out of Las Vegas, will make his professional in a four/six-round bout versus an opponent to be determined, opening the televised segment of the card. Abduraimov won a bronze medalist at the 2015 World Amateur Championships, as well as gold at the 2015 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships.

Australian super welterweight and past world title challenger, Tommy “The Titan” Browne(35-7-2, 13 KO), facce Carlos Hernandez (15-17, 12 KO), di Puerto Rico, durante un incontro otto round.

2016 World Juniors Championships silver medalist Gabriel Flores, Jr. (6-0, 5 KO), a 17-year-old sensation from Stockton, COME, squares off against Mexico-native Alejandro Rochin(5-1, 3 KO), fighting out of Oklahoma City, in un match di sei round.

Also scheduled to be in action in six-round fights are Las Vegas super lightweight Kevin Johnson (4-0, 4 KO) vs. TBA, and undefeated Roy Jones protégé Shady Gamhour (6-0, 5 KO), a Swedish middleweight now living in Joneshometown of Pensacola, FL, will be tested by Mexican Erasmo Garcia (5-2, 3 KO).

Pro-debuting Las Vegas junior lightweight Jaime Gomez e Ivan Ortiz (1-0-1, 1 KO), di Los Angeles, will clash in a four-rounder.

HanzelRude Boy” Martinez (23-2, 19 KO) facce Emmanuel Quartey (20-2, 19 KO) in the 10-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) International super bantamweight championship.
Nella co-feature 10 round, Lopez, Jr. (11-1, 4 KO) squares off against unbeaten Young (14-0-3, 6 KO) per la vacante WBA North American Boxing Association (Anche) titolo dei pesi gallo.
The 22-year-old Lopez, combattendo da Dallas, is coming off of a jaw-dropping second-round stoppage of Jerren Cochran this past May at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. The former WBC Youth Intercontinental bantamweight champion is rated No. 7 dalla NABA.
I remember growing up and watching all the greats as a young kid and thinking that’s going to be me someday,” ha detto Lopez. “Thanks to RJJ, Neon Star and CBS Sports Network that dream is a reality. I’m a small town kid living out my dreams; I’m on the right path and the journey I am on is something big.
Despite his opponent having an advantage in terms of their comparative amateur backgrounds, Lopez doesn’t feel that will be a factor in their fight, which he predicts will be very exciting.
Amateurs are a different ball game,” Lopez commented. “It gave us knowledge and experience but at the end of the day, our records are just numbers. I don’t look at the numbers or the fighter, I’m only going to look at the fight because my job is to get in the ring and bring home the win.
I’m a versatile fighter; if I have to brawl, I brawl but I can adjust to whatever I see fit. It’s going to be an exciting fight because I have everything I need to win. I’m a lot smarter in the ring and I’m coming to get the win.
NABA rated No. 2 Giovane, 27, is a southpaw with a rich amateur pedigree background having compiled an 86-13 record, including a silver-medal performance at the 2011 National Golden Gloves Championships.
I don’t really know too much about Lopez,” Young remarked. “I know he’s from Texas and he’s 11-1, which means he already know what it feels like to lose. He’s a decent fighter but nothing I can’t handle. I can fight any style, but one thing for sure and two for certain, whichever style I choose to fight will be a good showing. I’m coming to WIN!”
All three of his draws were fought on the road, including his last fight this past April at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, in which he and 14-0 Nikolay Potapovbattled evenly for 10 round. Tuttavia, Young doesn’t appear to be overly concerned about fighting on the B side against an RJJ opponent.
I really don’t worry about getting a win by decision,” Young explained. “I just feel like I will have to do a little more just to make it a one-way fight. And if the KO comes, I will love that.
Las Vegas junior lightweight Randy Moreno (4-0, 2 KO), a2008 World Ringside Championships gold medalist, will make his national television debut in a 4-round bout against an opponent to be announced.
Nella terza lotta per il titolo della notte, imbattuto campione WBA-NABA USA super welter Giovanni “Il fenomeno” Vera (14-0, 9 KO) makes his first title defense againstMiloradMickoZizic (12-1, 6 KO) in un incontro 8-tutto.
In keeping with its philosophy to showcase domani stars now, especially those from the talent- rich Las Vegas market, this installment of “Knockout Night at the D” will also see in action undefeated prospects such as welterweight Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (5-0, 2 KO) e diciottenne pesi gallo Max “Faccia di bebè” Ornelas (4-0, 2 KO).
Tutte le lotte e combattenti sono soggette a cambiamento.

Before a sold-out crowd, Hernandez (12-4-1, 4 KO) pounded world-rated middleweight Magomedov (17-1, 10 KO), vincendo una decisione unanime in 10 round (100-89 due volte, 98-91) for the vacant USNBC middleweight title. This fight changes everything for me,” Hernandez proclaimed. “He’s very good and deserves all of the accolades he’s received but I now have my head on straight and I’m focused. My jab was very important tonight. He’s very strong but I wanted to fight him inside because I knew he couldn’t take it from me. Ero molto preparato. I think I may have broken my ankle in the fourth round but I kept going. I wanted to finish him, get the knockout, but he’s a very tough fighter. He has heart and showed why he has all of those accolades.
Four weeks ago, Hernandez was preparing to fight as a cruiserweight. He lost 40 pounds to make weight for this middleweight fight in what turned out to be one of the biggest upsets of the year.

I knew eventually he’d put his hands down and I’d catch him,” Vera explained. “I thank him for the opportunity to fight. He’s helluva fighter, I give him that, but I know I’m a warrior. I took some shots but gave ’em, troppo. I broke him down and just kept throwing those lefts.
