NOV-JORKO (Junio 17, 2015) – Veteran cut-man “Big” George Mitchell and junior middleweight prospect Patrick Day (10-1-1, 6 KOs) are scheduled guest speakers at tomorrow night’s (#?A?do, Junio 18) Ringo 8 monthly meeting at Plattduetsche Park in Franklin Square, Nov-Jorko.

The evening kicks-off at 7 P.M. ET with a hot-and-cold buffet, followed an hour later with the start of the Ring 8 meeting.

The 6’7″, 285-pound Mitchell has been a fixture at New York fights for decades, working the corners of champions, contenders, prospects and journeymen alike. He is a protégé of the late, great Al Gavin, considered by many as one of the greatest cut-men in boxing history.

As an amateur boxer, Day was the ranked No. 1 American in the 152-pound decision. Fighting out of Freeport (NY), he is promoted by DiBella Entertainment, managed and trained by Joe Higgins.

Day is stepping in for Higgins, who is unable to attend due to an amateur boxing engagement, as one of the Ring 8 June speakers. Higgins is coming off a win with another Ring 8 favorite he also handles, Undefeated, world-rated light heavyweight contender Sean Monaghan (25-0, 16 KOs), of Long Beach (NY).
