“I felt my aggression was really good, just keeping the pressure non-stop, and we are ready for what is next. I wanted to move and show some more angles, but she kept coming straight in, so she was right there,” said McCaskill.


“A fight with Katie Taylor might be the next thing on the agenda. If that is what it is, that would be great. If that does not work out, then there are a couple of other names out there. As for Claressa Shields, McCaskill thinks a fight with her can happen, “That could be a possibility if Claressa could come down to 147 phaus. Jessica McCaskill Gets Her Wish to Face Katie Taylor: Social Media Challenges Turn to Women’s Super Fight on December 13 nyob rau hauv London

Christmas comes a little early this year for hard-punching Warriors Boxing lightweight Jessica ‘CasKILLA’ McCaskill.

All year, she and manager/trainer Rick Ramos have been expressing their wish, via social media, to face Irish gold medalist turned professional world champion Katie Taylor.

“I’m relieved. I’ve been working toward this fight for a long time,” said McCaskill, Rated #2 in the world at 135 lbs and #1 in the United States in women’s boxing. “We have been training for this fight since my last fight because we knew it was coming and we’ve definitely bumped up the intensity.”
Before turning professional a year ago, the popular Taylor, from Bray, won lightweight gold at the 2012 London Olympics, as well as an impressive assortment of world and European amateur championships. Known as the Irish athlete of her entire generation, Taylor is regarded as a superstar in the UK because of her aggressive and crowd-pleasing style.
“I’ve never watched a full fight of hers,” professed McCaskill. “I’ve seen some highlights. I see mistakes she makes, but it’s not so much what I see in her. It’s what I see in all her opponents. They’ve all been scared of her. I am not. You won’t see any fear in me. Everybody else was terrified to engage her. They just showed up. I’ll be fighting to the last bell.”
Much of the credit for landing the fight must go to Ramos, who doggedly pursued Taylor and her promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing, on social media.
“I felt like offended about comments Katie and Eddie made about how no one wants to fight her,” explained Ramos. “I remember thinking, ‘well, NO ONE called Jessica. We would love to fight Katie!’ That kind of started everything. Eddie Hearn finally did contact me via Instagram and things started getting real. I was happy that my social-media tactic worked!”
McCaskill, who also works full-time in Regulatory and Reporting at R.J. O’Brien & Associates investment bank in Chicago, says she’s not intimidated about stepping into Taylor’s home field for this fight. Nyob rau hauv qhov tseeb, she’s expecting a number of her fans to be there as well.
“It’s funny because of my job and my previous investment banking job, I have a lot of contacts and friends over there who are excited to show up for me. 32-year-old power puncher McCaskill hails from St. Louis, but now lives in Chicago and trains under Rick Ramos. The first woman to ever sign a promotional agreement with Warriors Boxing, the popular slugger has earned her fan-favorite status with a series of UIC Pavilion barn burners.

“I’m excited to be facing an undefeated boxer and I’m really pumped to be fighting in front of a large crowd of family and friends,” Mioletti said. “I want to put on a great show for them.”
22-year-old Mioletti says he is motivated for the challenge. “I love the level of competition,” nws hais tias, “and I love fighting in my hometown.”

Schobitz, who came to the US to train for the Austrian amateur championships, which he won, liked what he saw and returned as a professional, in search of glory.
“I spent all my money I had saved up in Austria as a teen to move here to box. Obviously, you come here with goals to be world champion and learn as much as you can and gain experience. I want to go as far as I can. Boxing is a sport I love. I love to fight more than anything else.”

A showcase for Chicago’s best young fighting talent, this WCFN will feature four of the city’s brightest young prospects in separate bouts.

Undefeated super lightweight Ramiro “El Lobito” Carrillo (11-0, 7 Kos) will appear in the eight-round main event. And in separate six-round brawls will be undefeated super featherweight Josh Hernandez (5-0, 4 Kos); power-punching lightweight Jessica “CasKILLA” McCaskill (3-1, 2 Kos) thiab, making his return to the ring, lightweight Jose Felix Quezada (11-1, 6 Kos).

26-year-old Ramiro Carrillo has been very impressive in his undefeated 11-fight run as a professional, deb deb li no. Carrillo was born in Mexico was a heavily decorated amateur, mus 215-14. He was a four-time Chicago Golden Gloves Champion and a two-time National Silver Gloves Champion. Carrillo is an aggressive boxer/brawler who loves to go to the body. So much so that a high percentage of his professional knockouts have come from body shots.

22-year-old Quezada is of half-Mexican and half-Filipino descent and an enormous fan-favorite locally. A heavily decorated amateur boxer, Quezada ran off 11 straight victories before falling short in his last fight. Determined to come back better than ever, Quezada is returning to home turf of the UIC Pavilion where he has had 9 ntawm nws 12 fights.

A Physical Education and Exercise Science junior at Chicago’s De Paul University 21-year-old Josh Hernandez had just over 50 fights and in 2014, won the Power Gloves and Chicago Golden Gloves, where he was named Best Male Boxer of the tournament. He is managed and trained by his father, former middleweight contender and fan favorite “macho” Miguel Hernandez.

Originally from St. Louis, now living in Chicago Jessica McCaskill trains under well-known Windy City boxing figure Rick Ramos. The 32-year-old says she started off in boxing as a crude slugger, relying solely on her amazing natural strength. But nearly three years of working with Ramos has improved her skills dramatically. McCaskill is the first woman ever signed to a promotional agreement with Warriors Boxing, and deservedly so. Her exciting fighting style has already made her a crowd favorite.
