Atlantic ਸਿਟੀ, N.J. – ਨਵੰਬਰ 19, 2018 – The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਦੇ 2019 Induction Class. The Induction Weekend will take place at The Claridge, a Radisson Hotel located at Park Place & Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 21 – 23, 2019.

Bernard Hopkins will be inducted into his first Hall of Fame as part of the third annual class that will include a total of 19 inductees.
“I feel appreciated and it’s starting to settle in that I’m near that mark of living legend. I don’t see myself as a living legend. Let other people decide that. This is a great honor and I’m grateful for the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame for making this happen,” ਹੌਪਕਿੰਸ said in a November 16 RingTV interview with Joseph Santoliquito.
“Watch who you co-sign for; you can’t sell me black to get in the door. You can’t sell me white to get in the door. You can’t sell me half white or half black or none of that to get in the door. But you can sell me LOYALTY” said former two-division champion ਬਰਨਾਰਡ ਹੌਪਕਿੰਸ.
The 3rd Annual Induction Ceremony & Celebration Weekend will honor some of the world’s most iconic figures from the sport of boxing: Butch Lewis, Nigel Collins, ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ “Bouie” Fisher and New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame’s President ਹੈਨਰੀ Hascup are just a few named who will be enshrined with the 2019 induction class.
Inductees will be named in three categories: Fighter, ਟ੍ਰੇਨਰ & Cut-Men and Special Contributors.
“It was a great honor to hear I was going to be inducted into Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame. Atlantic City is my second home, and as a pro fighter I’ve fought numerous times in this great city. The gala event was held Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, ਨ੍ਯੂ ਯੋਕ, ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ Diamante once again served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.

I am proud to officially announce my 6th Official Amateur Boxing Reunion that will take place on March 18 at Monique’s Lounge in Harlem, ਨ੍ਯੂ ਯੋਕ. I am expecting by far the largest turn out of any of the previous 5 reunions which were held twice at Rival Boxing in Las Vegas, once at Jimmy’s Corner in Manhattan and once each at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos.
Of the over 100 boxers attending this far, among them I expect the likes of 1988 Olympic Silver medalist Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, NYC Golden Gloves Champ “Poison” ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਜੋਨਸ, 1984 Olympic champ ਮਰਕੁਸ Breland, 1974 National Junior Olympic champ ਮਾਰਲਨ starling, 1996 USA Olympic team captain ਲਾਰੰਸ ਕਲੇ-Bey ਅਤੇ 1988 ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਗੋਲਡਨ ਦਸਤਾਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ Mark “ਵੀ ਤਿੱਖੀ” ਜਾਨਸਨ.
At my past reunions, including the most recent one held at the Rival Boxing Store in Las Vegas on ਨਵੰਬਰ 18, we’ve had the likes of Roy Jones Jr., Alex “Bronx ਹਮਲਾਵਰ” Ramos, 1992 Olympian Montell Griffin, former three time world champions Mike McCallum and Iran Barkley, ਅਤੇ “The Fighter” and Irish Micky Ward in attendance.
Among the most special of moments at my reunions, we had Mike McCallum and Alex Ramos, who met each other in the semi-finals of the 1980 NYC Golden Gloves, reconnect in Las Vegas in late 2014, we had Luis Ortiz and Lawrence Clay-Bey, who were brought together in 2015 at Foxwoods after not only not seeing each other in 38 YEARS but after not even knowing they fought against each other in 1977 until just a few days before they reunited and in NYC over the summer of 2015 we had 1984 New York City Golden Gloves 156 pound champion and runner up Dennis “The Magician” Milton and Jesse Lanton connect once again.
