NEW YORK (November 11, 2019) – The 33rd annual Ring 8 Holiday Event and Awards Ceremony will be held Sunday afternoon (12:30-5:30 p.m. OG), December 8, på Russos On The Bay i Howard Beach, New York.

Atlantic City, N.J. – November 19, 2018 – The Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame (ACBHOF) har meddelt, at 2019 Induction Class. The Induction Weekend will take place at The Claridge, a Radisson Hotel located at Park Place & Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey on June 21 – 23, 2019.
“We’re extremely excited about the Class of 2019 and are very much looking forward to paying tribute to the new inductees in Atlantic City at our 3rd annual induction weekend next June” said ACBHOF President and Founder Ray McCline.

Bernard Hopkins will be inducted into his first Hall of Fame as part of the third annual class that will include a total of 19 inductees.
“I feel appreciated and it’s starting to settle in that I’m near that mark of living legend. I don’t see myself as a living legend. Let other people decide that. This is a great honor and I’m grateful for the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame for making this happen,” Hopkins said in a November 16 RingTV interview with Joseph Santoliquito.
“Watch who you co-sign for; you can’t sell me black to get in the door. You can’t sell me white to get in the door. You can’t sell me half white or half black or none of that to get in the door. But you can sell me LOYALTY” said former two-division champion Bernard Hopkins.
The 3rd Annual Induction Ceremony & Celebration Weekend will honor some of the world’s most iconic figures from the sport of boxing: Butch Lewis, Nigel Collins, Engelsk “Bouie” Fisher and New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame’s President Henry Hascup are just a few named who will be enshrined with the 2019 induction class.
Inductees will be named in three categories: Fighter, Trainer & Cut-Men and Special Contributors.
“It was a great honor to hear I was going to be inducted into Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame. Atlantic City is my second home, and as a pro fighter I’ve fought numerous times in this great city. It’s a great boxing town and it is an honor to be inducted into the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame” siger Micky Ward.
Over the next several weeks there will be updates on the schedule of events, room packages and expected VIP appearances on the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame and the Claridge Hotel websites and social media platforms.

NEW YORK (December 11, 2017) – Less than 24 hours after he defeated previously undefeated Guillermo Rigondeaux, WBO Junior Lightweight World Champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl “Hi Tech” Lomachenko attended yesterday’s (Søndag, December. 9) 31st årring 8 Holiday Event and Awards Ceremony to accept the Ring 8 2017 Muhammad Ali International Fighter of the Year Award.
The gala event was held Russo’s On The Bay in Howard Beach, New York, og David Diamante once again served as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.
Six world champions were in attendance, including three award winners: Lomachenko), International Hall-of-Famer Michael Spinks (Historical Award), and five-time world champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano (New York State Female Fighter of the Year); World champions Vito Antuofermo, Iran Barkley og Luis Collazo showed their support.
“Our awards banquet was one of the best ever,” Ring 8 præsident Jack Hirsch sagde. “We are deeply honored that Vasyl Lomachenko attended the day after the biggest fight of his career. Another Hall-of Fame star, Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield, is unable to attend the festivities because of a travel conflict but he did receive his Legends Award at the last Ring 8 møde.

I am proud to officially announce my 6th Official Amateur Boxing Reunion that will take place on March 18 at Monique’s Lounge in Harlem, New York. I am expecting by far the largest turn out of any of the previous 5 reunions which were held twice at Rival Boxing in Las Vegas, once at Jimmy’s Corner in Manhattan and once each at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos.
Of the over 100 boxers attending this far, among them I expect the likes of 1988 Olympiske Sølv medaljevinder Riddick Big Daddy Bowe, NYC Golden Gloves Champ “Poison” Junior Jones, 1984 Olympic champ Mark Breland, 1974 National Junior Olympic champ Marlon Starling, 1996 USA Olympic team captain Lawrence Clay-Bey og 1988 National Golden Gloves Champion Mark “Too Sharp” Johnson.
At my past reunions, including the most recent one held at the Rival Boxing Store in Las Vegas on November 18, we’ve had the likes of Roy Jones Jr., Alex “The Bronx Bomber” Ramos, 1992 Olympian Montell Griffin, former three time world champions Mike McCallum and Iran Barkley, og “The Fighter” and Irish Micky Ward in attendance.
Among the most special of moments at my reunions, we had Mike McCallum and Alex Ramos, who met each other in the semi-finals of the 1980 NYC Golden Gloves, reconnect in Las Vegas in late 2014, we had Luis Ortiz and Lawrence Clay-Bey, who were brought together in 2015 at Foxwoods after not only not seeing each other in 38 YEARS but after not even knowing they fought against each other in 1977 until just a few days before they reunited and in NYC over the summer of 2015 we had 1984 New York City Golden Gloves 156 pound champion and runner up Dennis “The Magician” Milton and Jesse Lanton connect once again.
Any media who wish to attend the event in Harlem, New York on March 18 are more than welcome to be a part of the festivities.

NEW YORK (Oktober 17, 2015) – Den 30th årring 8 Ferie Event og Awards Ceremony vil blive afholdt Søndag eftermiddag (12:30-5:30 p.m. OG),December 11, på Russos On The Bay i Howard Beach, New York.
Ring 8 har meddelt, at 2016 prismodtagere (se komplet liste nedenfor), including Hall-of-Famer Barry McGuigan (International Fighter Achievement), reigning world champions Carl Frampton (Årets internationale fighter) og Danny Jacobs (New York State Fighter of the Year),Joe Smith, Jr. (Knockout of the Year), og 2016 Olympisk sølv medaljevinder Shakur Stevenson (Service to “Your Country” Award).

NEW YORK, NY (November 30, 2015) – Fem-tid, to-division verdensmester Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley vil deltage i 29th årring 8 Ferie Event og Awards Ceremony, Søndag eftermiddag (12:30-5:30 p.m. OG), December 13, på Russos On The Bay i Howard Beach, New York. Bradley will receive his award as the 2015 Ring 8 Fighter of the Year.
Randy Gordon will serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies. Other 2015 Ring 8 prismodtagere (se komplet liste nedenfor) omfatte tidligere New York State Athletic Kommissionen formand Melvina Lathan (Kvinde af årtiet), ubesejret Nej. 1 verden weltervægt udfordrer Port “Verden Kid” Er (NY Fighter of the Year), Heather Hardy(Af kvindelige Fighter of the Year), “Irlands” John Duddy (Ukronede mester), Andre Rozier (Træner Årets) og Joe DeGuardia (Promotor Årets).
