Kenneth Sims, Jr. vraća se u subotu navečer protiv Andrew Rodgersa u Gary, Indijana

CHICAGO, IL., (Listopad 11, 2018) – Junior Welteweight Kenneth Sims, Jr. vratit će se na akciju ove subote navečer kada u dvorani McBride u Garyju preuzme Andrew Rodgersa u meču šest kola, Indijana.

 

 

 

Sims obližnjeg Chicaga vratit će se u ring prvi put nakon što su 20. srpnja donijeli odluku o razdvajanju u osam krugova zbog prethodno neporažene Montana Love u dvoboju koji je na televiziji bio emitiran na ShoBoxu: Nova generacija na Showtime.

 

 

 

Sims (12-1-1, 4 Kos) radi u Houstonu, Teksas s nekim vrhunskim sparing partnerima, što će mu pomoći da krene naprijed u karijeri.

“Stvarno ne znam puno o njemu. Vodim ovu borbu kao što je blizu kuće. Borio sam se na različitim mjestima, pa je ovo dobra prilika da me moja obitelj i fanovi vide kako se borim.”

 

 

 

Nakon što je ozlijeđen bolji dio prošle godine, Sims želi ostati aktivan na kraju 2018 i u 2019.

 

 

 

“Nadam se da ću imati još jednu borbu prije kraja godine. Nije važno je li to neka druga borba poput ove ili nešto značajnije. Sve ovisi o situaciji.”

WBO News: Another Successful Boxing Officials’ Seminar Was Held In Chicago

The World Boxing Organization and the Illinois State Athletic Commission concluded a successful training seminar for boxing officials at the Garfield Park – Golden Dome, Chicago, Ilinois.

 

 

 

This event covered different topics, such as refereeing, judging, rules, and ethics; the seminar followed an interactive format with the purpose of giving ring officials the necessary knowledge, confidence and experience to execute good judgement of a boxing match.

 

 

 

John Duggan, First Vice-President of the WBO, stated that some of the objectives of these events are to “improve the quality of officiating” and he highlighted the importance of cross training ring officials in order to ensure the correct decisions are made during a boxing match, “correct officiating is important to ensure the right and deserving winner is named in a fight”.

 

 

 

U međuvremenu, referee Celestino Ruiz and former referee Gino Rodriguez conducted the referees’ training and stressed out the importance of taking control from the moment instructions are given in the locker room; the necessity of having proper knowledge of the rules and being correctly positioned during a fight.

 

 

 

Ethics and professionalism were also covered, as fundamental aspects in the development of a career as a boxing official.

 

 

 

Videos were used to exemplify, analyze and break down different decisions during a boxing match, this is important to help participants understand some of the scenarios they may have to face, it offers them the possibility to clarify doubts while at the same time put their knowledge to test.

 

 

 

The WBO values these opportunities to contribute with the training of boxing officials and help them attain mastery of their skills.

Undefeated Former Olympian Mytrofanov to Face Hernandez as Natex Boxing’s ‘The Chicago Rumble’ Returns on April 14 in Northlake, IL

Na Subota, Travanj 14, Chicago’s newest promoter, Andrew Sobko, CEO of Natex Boxing Promotions, will return to the Midwest Conference Center in Northlake, Ilinois, for his next installment of “The Chicago Rumble.”
A night of action-packed professional boxing featuring local and international talent in competitive match-ups, the night’s main event will pit Oxnard, Kaliforniji (via Chernigov, Ukrajina) undefeated dynamo, a 2016 Olimpski, Dmytro Mytrofanov (2-0, 1 KO) taking on dangerous Mexican spoiler Vladimir “24K” Hernandez (10-2, 6 Kos) in an eight-round middleweight showdown.
In the night’s six-round light heavyweight co-main event, undefeated Rustam Tulaganov (1-0) od Oxnarda, Kalifornija (via Tashkent, Uzbekistan) will face capable Chicago-based slugger Martez McGregor (5-1, 4 Kos).

In addition to his Olympic appearance two years ago, 28-year-old Mytrofanov, won Ukrainian national amateur titles in 2008 a 2012 and a bronze medal at the 2011 European Championships. He turned professional late last year and now trains at Oxnard’s Boxing Laboratory (formerly Robert Garcia Boxing Academy) under former Robert Garcia protegee Marco Contreras.
Denver (via Mexico’s) Hernandez is no easy challenge for any fighter, especially one with just two pro fights. In just the past year, Hernandez slapped highly rated prospect Danny Valdivia with his first two career losses (sada 14-2) via deserved decisions.
“I’m very happy to be going back to Chicago to fight,” said Mytrofanov. “I’ve been training very hard for this fight in Oxnard for the last weight weeks with world-class sparring partners. U petak, Travanj 28, 2017, u paviljonu UIC u Chicagu, Warriors Boxing Promotions returns with their “Windy City Fight Night” professional boxing series. A showcase for Chicago’s best young fighting talent, this WCFN will feature four of the city’s brightest young prospects in separate bouts.

Undefeated super lightweight Ramiro “El Lobito” Carrillo (11-0, 7 Kos) will appear in the eight-round main event. And in separate six-round brawls will be undefeated super featherweight Josh Hernandez (5-0, 4 Kos); power-punching lightweight Jessica “CasKILLA” McCaskill (3-1, 2 Kos) a, making his return to the ring, lightweight Jose Felix Quezada (11-1, 6 Kos).

26-year-old Ramiro Carrillo has been very impressive in his undefeated 11-fight run as a professional, do sada. Carrillo was born in Mexico was a heavily decorated amateur, odlazak 215-14. A Physical Education and Exercise Science junior at Chicago’s De Paul University 21-year-old Josh Hernandez had just over 50 fights and in 2014, won the Power Gloves and Chicago Golden Gloves, where he was named Best Male Boxer of the tournament. He is managed and trained by his father, former middleweight contender and fan favorite “muževan” Miguel Hernandez.

The 32-year-old says she started off in boxing as a crude slugger, relying solely on her amazing natural strength. But nearly three years of working with Ramos has improved her skills dramatically. McCaskill is the first woman ever signed to a promotional agreement with Warriors Boxing, and deservedly so. Her exciting fighting style has already made her a crowd favorite.
