In “Combate Estrellas I” preliminary bout card action, Rafa "Gifted" Garcia (5-0) of Mexico will risk his perfect record in a lightweight (155 libbre) scrap against fellow streaking prospect Chase “El Guero” Gibson (8-2) of the U.S.
 

 

A winner of Combate Americas’ first-ever open fighter tryout in 2016, the 25-year-old Garcia of Mexicali, Baja California, has defeated all of his opponents to date by way of submission inside of two rounds, while the 28-year-old Gibson, che combatte fuori di Los Angeles, is a winner of his last five bouts.

NEW YORK - Aprile 25, 2017 – Combate Americas today announced a sensational, nine-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight card that will take place at Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, Calif., in celebration of the “Cinco De Mayo” holiday, su Venerdì, Maggio 5.

In the lightweight (155 libbre) main event of “Combate 14,” undefeated, heavy-handed rising star Jose "Froggy" Estrada (3-0) si piazza fuori con Emilio “The Ferocious Aztec” Chavez (11-9).

The 5-foot-6, 26-year-old Estrada from Fillmore, Calif. has been on a tear since he made his professional debut with Combate Americas last April, stopping all three of his opponents to date inside of one round.

Chavez of Fullerton, Calif. is a flashy, 5-foot-9, 30-year-old competitor who will make the second start of his career in La Jaula, la gabbia Combate Americas. In his promotional debut on April 18, 2016, Chavez submitted Angelo Cruz nel secondo turno (4:21) of action with a rear-naked choke.

Castaneda of Mankato, Da. is riding a seven-fight win streak that dates back to May 16, 2015 when he secured a first-round submission (choke retro-naked) conquistare Pedro Velasco. Il 5-foot-7, 25-year-old has been perfect in La Jaula, winning all five of his Combate Americas bouts.

Streaking star John "Sexy Sexy" Castaneda (10-2) will step in for Erick Sanchez, who suffered a staph infection, and face off with Angel “Tito” Cruz(5-2) in piuma (145 libbre) main event at “Aspira A Mas Presents Combate Americas: CombateOCHO,” while four-time UFC® veterano Danny “The Gremlin” Martinez will replace a hurt (knee injury) Jonathan Martinez(19-7) in the flyweight (125 libbre) co-main event contest with Benjamin Vinson (8-3-1).
