NEW YORK (జనవరి 21, 2016) – Ring 8’s first monthly meeting of 2016 was held this past Tuesday evening at O’Neil’s Restaurant in Maspeth, న్యూ యార్క్.

International boxing judge John McKaie (ఎడమ) was the guest speaker. McKaie has judged nearly 800 ప్రొఫెషనల్ తగాదాలు, వాటిలో 23 world championships.

రింగ్ 8 historian హెన్రీ Hascup (కుడి) eulogized and made a historical tribute to the late Herschel Jacobs, who passed away this past December at the age of 75 (pictured to right). జాకబ్స్ (27-20-2, 11 కోస్) మధ్య వృత్తిపరంగా పోరాడారు 1960 మరియు 1978. His most notable win was a 10-round decision in 1971 against three-time world light heavyweight champion and Hall-of-Famer, Harold Johnson, at the famed Sunnyside Garden in Queens.
