Porter is auctioning off a pair of worn and signed hand wraps, a pair of signed boxing shoes, “Team Porter” t-shirts and a meet and greet at the weigh-in, in addition to the tickets from PBC for fight night.

 

 

 

“This was something that I really wanted to do so that I could give back and continue to show all of the good that boxing can do for people,” ulisema Porter, who donated the items to Gleason’s Gym while training there earlier this month. “I’m so happy to give my time to something that will help people who grew up just like me and use this sport to better themselves and the lives of others.”

 

 

 

“We truly appreciate Shawn’s contribution to our Give a Kid a Dream foundation and we’re excited to team up with him,” said Bruce Silverglade, Owner of Gleason’s Gym. “It’s always great when fighters lend a hand toward our goal of helping the kids in our community through the sport of boxing.”

25 Year Anniversary for Give A Kid A Dream
Gleason’s Gym established the “Kutoa Mtoto Dream” (a 501C3 charity) katika 1991 to mentor disadvantaged youths through the sport of boxing.
We are celebrating 25 years of accomplishment with a fundraising show at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill on Wednesday May 25, 2016. The gala will be packed with fun, great food and boxing.
Please join us for this fun event.
Our Fighters4Life team will be boxing to help raise funds and awareness for the program. We will also be honoring several of the many individuals that have helped make this Foundation a success.
The ticket prices are:

NEW YORK, NY (Machi 23, 2015) – usiku mkubwa wa ndondi kwa sababu kubwa inakuja BB. King Blues Club and Grill on Jumatano, Mei 13 katika 7:30 p.m. “Kutoa Dream Kid A”, kwa kushirikiana na Gleason ya Gym, presents a full night of fights to raise money for the non-profit foundation, GAKAD. Na unaweza kuwa sehemu ya kusaidia wapiganaji wetu!

 

Tangu 1991, GAKAD has provided children from disadvantaged backgrounds mentorship and a place to come and develop themselves both physically and mentally through the sport of boxing. Vijana wenye umri kati ya 8 na 18 ni haki, na ni kawaida inajulikana kupitia diwani shule, parole afisa au kiongozi wa dini katika jamii yao.
