George “El YuYu” Acosta Speaks on Career Defining Win Against Gadwin Rosa

Los Angeles, TOY NY (Mey 10, 2021) – Thompson Boxing Promotions’ super featherweight prospect, George “El Yuyu” Acosta (12-1, 1 KO), picked a career-defining win this past Friday, Mey 7, 2021, as he defeated Gadwin Rosa(11-2, 9 Kos), at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, FL. CORONA, TOY NY (Aprily 13, 2021) - Thompson Boxing Promotions returns on Sunday, Faha-18 Aprily, 2021, with yet another action-packed night of fights as 3.2.1. Boxing returns with three exciting bouts. Former super lightweight world title contender, Peter “ZAR” Petrov (41-6-2, 22 Kos), who was scheduled to open up the show, is now off the card.

The 8-round main event featuring Ruben “Ace” Torres (14-0, 11 Kos) vs. Diego Contreras (11-3, 5 Kos), will remain intact. The 8-round co-main event will now showcase Mexican power puncher, Miguel “El Explosivo” Madueño (22-0, 20 Kos) vs. Bergman Aguilar (15-6-1, 5 Kos). The opening bout will stage TBP’s George “El YuYu” Acosta (10-1, 1 KO) vs. Edgar “Pito Lupillo” Ramirez (17-16-1, 14 Kos) in super lightweight bout scheduled for 6-rounds.

Madueño, who hails from Guasave, Meksika, will be making his USA debut. The knockout artist possesses power in both hands and promises to display ferociousness in the ring this Sunday.

LONG BEACH, Kalifornia. The 5′ 4″ Williams (12-0, 5 Kos), fighting out of New Haven (CT), exploded with pin-point accuracy, also displaying his new-found power, dropping Gonzalez 30-8, 26 Kos), of Nicaragua, three time in the first round. The crafty southpaw finished off his more experienced opponent with a perfectly placed right-left combination, right on the button, for his third and final knockdown. Referee Raul Caiz, Jr. waved off the action, not bothering to count, as Gonzalez lay vertical on his back in dire straits.
“I prepared well for this fight and anything can happen when I work hard,” Williams remarked after his third consecutive knockout victory. “I felt his power early with a body shot but I stayed focused.
“I can deal with anybody in my division. I want to fight Lee Selby (IBF featherweight world champion), or any of the world champions, but none will fight me. I really want Gary Russell (WBC champion); Inty aho, Gary. It’ll be target practice for me.”

In his first eight-round fight, the 21-year-old Younan gained invaluable experience fighting the non-stop Guy, who kept coming forward, throwing punches from all angles, at his Brooklyn opponent.

“You can’t learn if you don’t go rounds,” Younan correctly noted after the fight. “I’m only going to improve. Guy kept moving forward the entire fight. There were a couple of things that bothered me, but I went eight hard rounds and won. Thank you to Mike Guy for that.”
Former Winthrop College (SC) mpilalao basket Jonnie Rice (7-2-1, 4 Kos), fighting out of Los Angeles, opened the televised broadcast with a convincing six-round unanimous decision over Rodney “King Corso” Hernandez (10-6-2, 2 Kos), ny Fresno (TOY NY).
“I thought I did real well against a good opponent,” former power forward Rice said after the fight “He’s an athlete, getting better each fight. He’s not the same fighter he was a year ago. I’m becoming more strategic, working on my jab to get better. Basketball players need good footwork like Chris Paul and Lebron James. I’m working to bring my footwork from basketball to boxing,”

(Jolay 24, 2017) – Former junior boxing prodigy and undefeated professional prospect, undefeated Junior “The Young God” Younan, will be showcased in the “KO Night Ady Totohondry: Rumble on the Water 2” mpiara-endri-javatra Sabotsy ity (Jolay 29), tanteraka ny fandaharana (10 p.m. SY / 7 p.m. PT) on CBS Sports Network, live from The Queen Mary’s outdoor venue in Long Beach, California. The Queen Mary will be hosting its first pro boxing show.

The 21-year-old Younan (12-0, 9 Kos), miady avy any Brooklyn, takes on former USA California super middleweight champion Mike Guy (9-2-1, 5 Kos), ny Sacramento (TOY NY), in the eight-round co-featured event.
“This will be a coming out party for me,” Younan said. “I’m going to go out there and try to make a statement. It’s been a great start to the year – it’s my third fight this year – and I feel like I’m getting better and better each one.”
In the night’s 10-round main event, undefeated featherweight prospect Tramaine “The Mighty Midget” Williams (11-0, 4 Kos), ny New Haven (CT), squares off against former world title challenger William “Chirizo” Gonzalez (30-7, 26 Kos), of Nicaragua.

Fighting under the Roc Nation banner, Younan was a highly-decorated amateur boxer, compiling an outstanding 90-5 rakitsoratra. Given his success, Younan elected to turn pro in 2013 as an 18-year-old, rather than wait several years for an opportunity to qualify for the U.S. Ady Totohondry Olaimpika Team.
Younan started boxing competitively as an eight-year-old and, ihany two years later, The New York Times crowned him a “boxing prodigy”. During his impressive amateur career, he collected several belts, medals and awards, including nine championship performances in the Junior Olympics as well as the Junior Metros, eight in the New York State Silver Gloves, and five more in the Regional Silver Gloves. He was also a four-time National Silver Gloves recipient, three-time Ringside World winner, three-time National PAL, and two-time National Junior Golden Gloves champion. Amin'ny 2011, he was crowned the National Junior Golden Gloves champion, in addition to being USA Boxing’s No. 1-rated junior boxer in his weight class.

Nagging injuries somewhat curtailed Younan’s development, limiting him to one fight in 2015. After a nine-month layoff, he returned triumphantly on March 26, 2016 to defeat Cristian Solorzano, ny Sonora, Meksika, on the Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera undercard at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. With a win by way of a four-round unanimous decision, Younan improved his unblemished record to 8-0.

Three of Younan’s last four fights have ended in the opening round, including his most recent on Jona 17 on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev 2 undercard at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Brooklyn bomber made quick work of the Hungarian veteran Zoltán Sera (28-14, 20 Kos) amin'ny 1:39 Marka.

“It was an amazing experience for me as a 21-year-old to fight in Vegas on Andre Ward’s card,” Younan added. “Coming off that knockout, I have great momentum and confidence heading into this fight. I can’t wait.”

After a sizzling start to his pro career, the New Haven, Conn. Native was inactive for nearly two years (2-13-2015) due to out-of-the-ring issues, but bounced back strong in January 2016, signing a promotional contract with Roc Nation Sports.

In his first fight under the Roc Nation Sports banner, Williams dominated Edward Garza (6-1) en route to an eight-round unanimous decision.in the CBS Sports Network co-featured event in Wichita, Kansas last March.

In his last fight on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev II card at Mandalay Bay, Williams produced the most signature victory to date, stopping former NABO, WBC US and California State super featherweight champion Christopher Martin (30-8-3) ao amin'ny fihodinana faharoa.

Williams first began boxing at the age of nine, accumulating an impressive record of 97-10 over his amateur career.
