Unbeaten Lightweight Torres to Headline Against Slugger Gabino Cota

ORANGE, Calif. (Jan. 11, 2020) – Lightweight prospect Ruben “Ace” Torres (11-0, 9 KOs), will headline Thompson Boxing’s “Path To Glory” acara ing Ana, Jan. 21st, saka Doubletree Hotel ing Ontario, Calif.

Torres, who is rapidly making a name for himself with his aggressive style, headlines his third straight Thompson Boxing kertu, as he faces the dangerous knockout artist from Sonora, Meksiko, Gabino Cota (19-10-2, 17 KOs), in an eight-round main event clash.

The 22-year old Torres, who hails from South Central Los Angeles, is guided by Danny Zamora and trains out of the Santa Fe Springs Activities Center in, Santa Fe Springs, Calif. Torres is most known for his power on the right hand, as all but two of his fights have ended by way of knockout.

“This is such a great opportunity for me,” ngandika Torres. “I’m comfortable and happy with my promoter, they are allowing me to elevate my game and are putting me in a great position along with my trainer/manager Danny Zamora. On February 21st, I will look to put on another great performance and like always, fans can expect to see my hands flying.”

Torres is no stranger to headlining a show as his last two outings have been eight-round main event bouts, with “Ace” knocking out his opponents in the first and second round respectively. Standing in front of Torres’ undefeated record is Gabino “The Flash” Cota, who is known for his explosive strength.

“My opponent is not only tough,” Torres ngandika. “He also comes forward at all his fights and we know he has knock out power. Our fight should be a barn burner.”

Torres has been working hard in camp, sparring his teammate, super lightweight Michael Dutchover, who is also signed to Thompson Boxing.

“I’ve been getting pushed a lot in camp.” stated Torres, who turned professional nearly three years ago. “I’m getting some great sparring with Michael and other guys as well; my coach is also having me do specific drills that I will use to my benefit. Cranston, RI(Februari 8, 2016) – Rising super featherweight star Toka “T-Nice” Kahn-Clary(17-0, 11 KOs) returns to action this Saturday night against Mexican opponent Gabino “Lampu kilat” Cota (18-5-1, 16 KOs) at Sportsman Lodge in Studio City, California.

A decorated American amateur boxer (131-11 rekaman), his career highlighted by a gold-medal performance at the 2010 Gloves Golden National Tournament, Kahn-Clary is a native of Liberia who passed on a shot to make the 2016 U.S. Olympic Boxing Team, ngowahi pro telung taun kepungkur.
Kahn-Clary’s impressive second-round stoppage of Sergio “Cuatito” Lopez (19-10-1, 13 KOs) last November was supposed to lead him graduating to a 10-round fighter. I think more as I’m moving in the ring, adjusting a lot better, and my combinations are coming out a lot better.”
A former WBC FECOMBOX and Mexican featherweight champion, Cota is a dangerous opponent who has knocked out 16 saka 18 fighters he’s defeated as a professional.
“Cota may have lost four of his last six but they were all title fights or on television against name opponents,” Kahn-Clary kang sirah trainer Peter Manfredo, Sr. nyatet. “He has some pop, throws a zillion punches and just keeps coming forward. This is a good step up for Toka.
“Toka is ready for this fight. He’s had a lot of good sparring. Toka is aggressive, well-conditioned, a good defensive fighter who can crack. There wasn’t a 10-round fight available on this card but we wanted this fight. Toka’s still only 23 so there’s no reason to rush things.”
Cota is battle tested having fought world title challengerJonathan Oquendo, Puerto Rican Olympian Orlando Cruzand Russian champion Andrey Klimov.
“I like fighting guys that come to me like Cota,” Kahn-Clary remarked. “It makes my job easier. I can setup my punches and fights against guys like this aren’t as much as a chess match. I’ll be landing hard shots and fans like that better than a chess match.”
