This Friday showdown vs. unbeaten NABO champion Yomar “The Magic” Alamo

LAS VEGAS (Febbraio 27, 2020) – Undefeated super lightweightKendo “Tremendo” Castaneda (17-0, 8 KO) flew into Orlando from his native San Antonio this past Tuesday night on his first visit to Florida.

Unlike millions of people who go to Orlando for Disneyworld, anche se, Castaneda’s initial look at palm trees is simply part of his business trip. Castaneda challenges North American Boxing Organization (PROSSIMO) campioneYomar “The Magic” Alamo (17-0-1, 12 KO) in this Friday night’s 10-round main event, airing live on Boxeo Telemundo, a partire da 11:30 p.m. E / 8:30 p.m. PT, from Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.

Castaneda captured the vacant North American Boxing Association (Anche) crown a year ago, taking a 10-round decision from previously undefeatedGilbert Venegas, Jr.(10-0), and followed that with an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over Dominican veteranEudy Berbardo (24-3).

Last October in Reno, Nevada, Castaneda stoppedStan Martyniouk (20-3) nel sesto round, after which he was installed by the World Boxing Organization as its No. 15 rated super lightweight in the world.

WBO No. 8 ranked Alamo, fighting out of Puerto Rico, is coming off the only blemish on either fighter’s pro record, fighting to a draw withAntonio Moran (24-4-1).

Alamo, 24, is the former World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth World and FECARBOX super lightweight champion, who has made three successful NABO title defenses.

Seven Undefeated Local Favorites Featured in Separate Bouts

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Aprile 11, 2019) The fifth installment of the popular Rumble al Rock series will be held on Venerdì, Maggio 10, a 7 p.m. a Centro eventi Hard Rock aSeminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinò di Hollywood, Fla. WBO Belted Yomar Álamo in Puerto Rico

Aguas Buenas – In an emotional activity held at the Aguas Buenas Urban High School, la World Boxing Organization (WBO), together with its president, Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, Esq., delivered the WBO North America (PROSSIMO) Jr. Welterweight title to boxer Yomar “The Magic” Álamo which he won last Friday in Florida, after defeating Mexican Manuel Méndez by unanimous decision in an event promoted by All Star Boxing.

“When Yomar fought the previously, we were not pleased, Yomar’s people made the decision for him to train with Iván Calderón so that he learned some techniques that Iván had already used very well. Iván is the architect of this and I recognize his work as a coach who charge of polishing this diamond. As a fighter, Iván made 18 world title defenses in the 105 e 108 pounds of the WBO and will be a safe bet for the Hall of Fame”, Varcárcel said.

An excited Álamo said: “I am very happy with this tribute. This fight was for my people of Aguas Buenas and Puerto Rico, who so need moments of happiness. Everything can be done in life, just set some goals and fight for them, no matter how strong the winds are. If you are at the hands of Jesus Christ, our savior, nothing will be missing and I know that many young people will achieve it”.

A second main event has been added to the professional boxing evento Venerdì, Marzo 1, alla Centro eventi Hard Rock a Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casinò di Hollywood, Fla., and live on Telemundo Boxe (11:35 PM ET / PT).

Fire Fist Boxing fighters set for UFC Fight Pass bouts in St. Petersburg

Tampa, FL (Febbraio 13, 2019) – Fire Fist Boxing’s Connor “The Kid” Coyle, Willian “Baby Face” Silva and Mark Reyes Jr. will all fight as part of a UFC Fight Pass card Saturday, Febbraio 16 at the Coliseum in St. Petersburg, FL.

This excellent evening of boxing is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions in association with Rite Hook Promotions.

Headlining the telecast is an eight round middleweight showdown between Coyle and Travis “Dirty Red” Scott.

Splitting time between his native Ireland and St. Petersburg, FL, Coyle’s a perfect 8-0 con 3 vittorie per KO. He’s become a big draw in the Tampa-St Pete area and most recently scored a sixth round TKO of Danny Pastrana. The talented Coyle has been featured as a prospect to watch out for by media members from both sides of the pond.

Fighting out of Baton Rouge, LA, Scott is Coyle’s most experienced foe to date. The 38-year-old has an excellent 19-4 ledger professionale 5 KO. A true veteran of the sport, Scott turned pro in 2004 when Coyle was 14.

Welterweight phenom Mark Reyes Jr of Tampa, FL risks his 0 against fellow unbeaten Rodrigo Tatijewski of Sao Paolo, Brazil in a highly-anticipated six round contest.

2016 U.S. Olympian Antonio Vargas fights for 1st title against Jesus Perez in Kissimmee, Florida

NEW YORK (Novembre 16, 2018) –2016 United States Olympian, and undefeated bantamweight Antonio Vargas (8-0, 3 KO) returns to the ring when he fights Jorge Perez in an eight-round bout at the Civic Center Kissimmee, Florida.

The bout will be the 1st scheduled eight-round bout for Vargas, and it will be for the Jr. NABF Bantamweight title.

Vargas of Kissimmee, will be fighting for his 1st title and he will be doing it in front of his hometown fans. This will be the for 3rd time this year that Vargas will be fighting in Kissimmee.

"E 'un buon combattente, ma sento che il mio stile vincerà qualunque sia il suo cosiddetto vantaggio di esperienza,” ha detto un Navarro fiducioso. Navarro dice che non gli dispiace far parte di un insolito "Cuban vs. resa dei conti cubana”.

 

 

 

“Combatterò chiunque. Ho combattuto contro i cubani per tutta la vita a casa, quindi no, non mi dà fastidio. Questo è un affare. Vedi messicano contro messicano e portoricano contro portoricano, quindi perché non può essere Cuba contro Cuba?? I buoni combattenti dovrebbero combattere l'un l'altro, e la crema salirà in superficie. Sono solo affari quando salgo sul ring. Auguro ad Armando tutta la fortuna del mondo. Avrà bisogno di ogni grammo".

 

 

 

Alvarez dice che sa che sembrava vulnerabile nel suo ultimo combattimento, una sconfitta televisiva a livello nazionale contro l'imbattuto Jaron Ennis a luglio, ed è per questo che Navarro è disposto a combatterlo.

 

 

 

Ma Alvarez dice che il Team Navarro ha fatto un grosso errore.

 

 

 

"Sono 100 percento senza infortuni e mentalmente pronto,” ha detto Alvarez. "Questo è ciò che la sua squadra non ha preso in considerazione. Ho combattuto contro Ennis con un infortunio che ha influito negativamente sulla mia prestazione. Si aspettano che Armando Alvarez si faccia vivo quella sera, ma sono pronto a dimostrare che "The Gentleman" è qui ed è vivo. “È raro che due cubani si fronteggino, ma penso che i migliori dovrebbero combattere i migliori. Non credo nel non combattere un altro cubano. È cubano di Cuba di Cuba. Anche io sono cubano, ma sono nato e cresciuto qui e penso che chiunque possa combattere chiunque altro".

 

 

 

Alvarez dice che non vede l'ora di tornare nella colonna delle vittorie davanti a un folto gruppo di suoi fan.

 

 

 

"Avrò la maggior parte dei sostenitori alla lotta. Avrò un sacco di famiglia e amici. Mi aiuta sempre quando i miei fan sono lì dal vivo. Mi spinge a fare molto di più".

Cuevas sat down for the following interview during a break in training:

How does it feel fighting in the USA mainland for the first time?

I am happy to be fighting here in Hollywood Florida with my new team. I’m in phenomenal shape and, come September 28, I plan on showing it big time.

 

What do you know about your opponent?

I know he’s a tough savvy Mexican veteran, but I will be prepared for anything he brings to the table. Mexico vs PR has always been a real draw when it comes to boxing and I invite all the Puerto Rican fans to come see me fight.

 

How long until we see you in a championship-level fight?

My promotional team at The Heavyweight Factory will take care of that for me. I have full faith in what my manager Alex Troya did when he brought me here. I’m working with my new trainer Jesse Robinson and within 18 mesi, I will hopefully be fighting for the world title. These people know what they’re doing and work hard for their fighters. I’m glad to be here.

 

Describe your style of fighting for the people who will be seeing you for the first time.

I don’t run away. I stand in the pocket and slip and make my opponents pay. I am working on power, explosivity and speed. That’s a dangerous combination. Posso box. I can bang. I will get it on, how ever they want it. I want to be showman and a crowd pleaser.

 

How old were you when you realized you had above average punching power?

I must have been 13 and my coach at the time was telling others that I had pop in my punch. Then it just became part of my arsenal.

 

Would you ever consider an “All Puerto Rico” showdown with a fighter like Subriel Matias or Danielito Zorrilla?

Auntie and Daniel are my friends we spar often on the island. I have great respect for both guys, but once you step in the ring, it’s ‘go time’ no matter who it is.

 

Do you miss Puerto Rico when you train in the US?

I miss my family and my people but I’m a pro who is focused on getting to the top now and now is the time I will stay focused until I get to that big showdown for the title, coming soon to a theatre near you!
