This Friday showdown vs. unbeaten NABO champion Yomar “The Magic” Alamo

LAS VEGAS (Février 27, 2020) – Undefeated super lightweightKendo "Tremendo" Castaneda (17-0, 8 KOs) flew into Orlando from his native San Antonio this past Tuesday night on his first visit to Florida.

Castaneda captured the vacant North American Boxing Association (Aussi) crown a year ago, taking a 10-round decision from previously undefeatedGilbert Venegas, Jr.(10-0), and followed that with an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over Dominican veteranEudy Berbardo (24-3).

Last October in Reno, Nevada, Castaneda stoppedStan Martyniouk (20-3) au sixième tour, after which he was installed by the World Boxing Organization as its No. 15 rated super lightweight in the world.

Seven Undefeated Local Favorites Featured in Separate Bouts

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Avril 11, 2019) The fifth installment of the popular Rumble at the Rock series will be held on Vendredi, Mai 10, à 7 p.m. à Centre d'événements Hard Rock àHôtel Seminole Hard Rock & Casino à Hollywood, Fla. Two-time Olympic medalist and undefeated heavyweight KO artist Ivan “The Kazakh Giant” Dychko (7-0, 7 KOs) d'Hollywood, Floride, via Kazakhstan, will be back, looking to keep his perfect record intact in an eight-round test. The 28-year-old scored a one-punch demolition of once-promising Maurice Harris last July.

WBO Belted Yomar Álamo in Puerto Rico

Bonnes eaux – In an emotional activity held at the Aguas Buenas Urban High School, l'Organisation mondiale de boxe (WBO), together with its president, Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, Esq., delivered the WBO North America (VOISINS) Jr. Welterweight title to boxer Yomar “The Magic” Álamo which he won last Friday in Florida, after defeating Mexican Manuel Méndez by unanimous decision in an event promoted by All Star Boxing.

“When Yomar fought the previously, we were not pleased, Yomar’s people made the decision for him to train with Iván Calderón so that he learned some techniques that Iván had already used very well. Iván is the architect of this and I recognize his work as a coach who charge of polishing this diamond. As a fighter, Iván made 18 world title defenses in the 105 et 108 pounds of the WBO and will be a safe bet for the Hall of Fame”, Varcárcel said.

An excited Álamo said: “I am very happy with this tribute. This fight was for my people of Aguas Buenas and Puerto Rico, who so need moments of happiness. Everything can be done in life, just set some goals and fight for them, no matter how strong the winds are. If you are at the hands of Jesus Christ, our savior, nothing will be missing and I know that many young people will achieve it”.

Tampa, FL (Février 13, 2019) – Fire Fist Boxing’s Connor “The Kid” Coyle, Willian “Baby Face” Silva and Mark Reyes Jr. will all fight as part of a UFC Fight Pass card Saturday, Février 16 at the Coliseum in St. Pétersbourg, FL.

This excellent evening of boxing is promoted by Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions in association with Rite Hook Promotions.

Headlining the telecast is an eight round middleweight showdown between Coyle and Travis “Dirty Red” Scott.

Splitting time between his native Ireland and St. Pétersbourg, FL, Coyle est un parfait 8-0 avec 3 victoires par KO. He’s become a big draw in the Tampa-St Pete area and most recently scored a sixth round TKO of Danny Pastrana. 2016 U.S.. Olympian Antonio Vargas fights for 1st title against Jesus Perez in Kissimmee, Floride

NEW YORK (Novembre 16, 2018) –2016 United States Olympian, and undefeated bantamweight Antonio Vargas (8-0, 3 KOs) returns to the ring when he fights Jorge Perez in an eight-round bout at the Civic Center Kissimmee, Floride.

The bout will be the 1st scheduled eight-round bout for Vargas, and it will be for the Jr. NABF Bantamweight title.

Vargas of Kissimmee, will be fighting for his 1st title and he will be doing it in front of his hometown fans. This will be the for 3rd time this year that Vargas will be fighting in Kissimmee.

Vargas is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over Felipe Rivas on September 28th in Puerto Rico.

"Il est un bon combattant, mais je sens que mon style l'emportera quel que soit son soi-disant avantage d'expérience,”A déclaré un Navarro confiant. "J'étais 312-17 en amateur et je suis déjà 8-0 comme un pro. J'ai été amené comme adversaire, soi-disant perdre, sur une carte Golden Boy et une émission PBC à Miami, Et j'ai assommé ces deux gars. Navarro dit que cela ne le dérange pas de faire partie d'un inhabituel «Cuban vs. Épreuve de force cubaine.

 

 

 

«Je combattrai n'importe qui. J'ai combattu les Cubains toute ma vie à la maison, donc non, ça ne me dérange pas. C'est une entreprise. Vous voyez mexicain contre mexicain et portoricain contre portoricain, alors pourquoi ne peut-il pas être Cuba contre Cuba? Les bons combattants devraient se battre, et la crème montera au sommet. Tout est affaire quand je monte sur le ring. Je souhaite à Armando toute la chance du monde. Il aura besoin de chaque once.

 

 

 

Alvarez dit qu'il sait qu'il avait l'air vulnérable lors de son dernier combat, une défaite télévisée à l'échelle nationale contre Jaron Ennis invaincu en juillet, et c’est pourquoi Navarro est prêt à le combattre.

 

 

 

Mais Alvarez dit que l'équipe Navarro a fait une grosse erreur.

 

 

 

«Je suis 100 pourcentage sans blessure et prêt mentalement,»Dit Alvarez. "C'est ce que son équipe n'a pas pris en compte. J'ai combattu Ennis avec une blessure qui a gravement affecté ma performance. C'est un bon boxeur et il vient se battre, mais amateur et pro sont deux choses différentes et il n’est pas prêt. »

 

 

 

Alvarez dit qu'il ne croit pas non plus au code non écrit que certains combattants portent qui dit que les Cubains ne peuvent pas se battre.

 

 

 

«Il est rare que deux Cubains se fassent face, mais je pense que les meilleurs devraient combattre les meilleurs. Je ne crois pas qu’il faut ne pas combattre un autre Cubain. Il est cubain de Cuba de Cuba. Moi aussi je suis cubain, mais je suis né et j'ai grandi ici et je pense que n'importe qui peut combattre n'importe qui d'autre.

 

 

 

Alvarez dit qu'il a hâte de revenir dans la colonne des victoires devant un grand groupe de ses fans.

Cuevas sat down for the following interview during a break in training:

How does it feel fighting in the USA mainland for the first time?

I am happy to be fighting here in Hollywood Florida with my new team. I’m in phenomenal shape and, venir septembre 28, I plan on showing it big time.

 

Que savez-vous de votre adversaire?

I know he’s a tough savvy Mexican veteran, but I will be prepared for anything he brings to the table. Mexico vs PR has always been a real draw when it comes to boxing and I invite all the Puerto Rican fans to come see me fight.

 

How long until we see you in a championship-level fight?

My promotional team at The Heavyweight Factory will take care of that for me. I have full faith in what my manager Alex Troya did when he brought me here. I’m working with my new trainer Jesse Robinson and within 18 mois, I will hopefully be fighting for the world title. These people know what they’re doing and work hard for their fighters. Describe your style of fighting for the people who will be seeing you for the first time.

I don’t run away. I stand in the pocket and slip and make my opponents pay. I am working on power, explosivity and speed. That’s a dangerous combination. Je peux boîte. Je peux frapper. I will get it on, how ever they want it. I want to be showman and a crowd pleaser.

 

How old were you when you realized you had above average punching power?

I must have been 13 and my coach at the time was telling others that I had pop in my punch. Then it just became part of my arsenal.

 

Would you ever consider an “All Puerto Rico” showdown with a fighter like Subriel Matias or Danielito Zorrilla?

Auntie and Daniel are my friends we spar often on the island. I have great respect for both guys, but once you step in the ring, it’s ‘go time’ no matter who it is.

 

Do you miss Puerto Rico when you train in the US?

I miss my family and my people but I’m a pro who is focused on getting to the top now and now is the time I will stay focused until I get to that big showdown for the title, coming soon to a theatre near you!
