Oscar Cantu vs. Aston Palicte Twin-title fight headlines Dec. 17th “Knockout Night at the D” kaadi

Cantu will defend his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight title against Palicite. The vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight championship will also be contested in the 10-round main event.

Our final event of the year promises to be our best yet with evenly matched, entertaining fights that our ‘Knockout Night at the D’ series is known for with ọla ká stars up-and-down the card.”

World rated at No. 11 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) ati Ko si. 15 nipasẹ awọn WBO, Palicte captured the vacant IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight championship this past June in his most recent fight, idekun Vergilio Silvano (21-6-1) in the seventh round of their rematch, which was also won by Palicte via a 12-round unanimous decision a year ago for the vacant WBO Oriental super flyweight title.
The heavy-handed Palicte, who has knocked out 18 ti re 21 victims, is rated No. 5 by the NABF and No. 15 by the NABA. Palicte, 25, also owns his share of title belts, including the IBF Youth super flyweight strap. In Palicte’s only pro fight outside of his native Philippines, he lost a highly disputed 10-round split decision (97-94, 93-97, 94-97) last March to local favorite Junior Granados (14-4-1) ni Mexico.
Chilean junior middleweight champion Angelo Baez (15-0-1, 11 KOs) takes on Jamaican-native Nathaniel Gallimore (15-1-1, 12 KOs), fighting out of Evanston, Illinois, in the eight-round co-feature.
Undefeated welterweight Flavio Rodriguez (5-0, 4 KOs) faces Mexican invader Dilan “Awọn Ẹru” Loza (5-0, 3 KOs) in the six-round television opener.
Las fegasi’ terrific trio of undefeated promising prospects – 20-year-old junior lightweight Randy “Awọn Matador” Moreno (7-0, 6 KOs), 26-year-old welterweight Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols (7-0, 2 KOs) and 18-year-old bantamweight Max “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Ornelas (6-0, 3 KOs) – are all scheduled to be on action Oṣu kejila. 17th.

Austin, TX (Meje. 27, 2016) – FloSports today announced it has agreed to terms with MP & Silva, an international sports marketing agency, for the live media rights in the United States to the WBA Light Heavyweight title fight Oṣu Kẹwa. 1 between Juergen Braehmer (48-2) and Nathan Cleverly (29-3). The fight in Hamburg, Germany, yoo bẹrẹ ni 12:45 p.m. ATI between Braehmer, the current title holder, and the former champion Cleverly. The event will stream on FloBoxing.tv.

“We are thrilled to cover this marquee matchup with so much at stake,” FloSports co-founder and CEO Martin Floreani said. “FloBoxing is committed to featuring the best boxing content in the world, and title fights like these help us achieve that goal and grow the sport.”

The main event will be the seventh defense of Braehmer’s WBA regular light heavyweight world title. It is the first title opportunity for Cleverly since being defeated for the WBO title by Sergey Kovalev in August of 2013. The promotion is presented by Team Sauerland.

The German-born Braehmer has won 17 consecutive fights since his last loss in 2008, while British-born Cleverly is coming off a “ija ti awọn ọdún” performance in a narrow defeat to Andrzej Fonfara in October 2015. The two fighters were originally scheduled to meet in 2011, but Braehmer was forced to withdraw after suffering a cut in sparring.

A win for either fighter would put them in the conversation for potential unification fights with either WBC champion Adonis Stevenson or the winner of November’s Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev matchup.

Live coverage of the Braehmer vs. Cleverly fight will follow the undercard fight between WBA Intercontinental Light Heavyweight champion Enrico Koelling (21-1) and contender Ryno Liebenberg (17-3).

After the conclusion of the card in Germany, FloBoxing will be live streaming an eight-fight card from Grand Casino in Hinckley, Lati., that is headlined by a fight between two of America’s top cruiserweights in Atlanta’s Brian Howard (11-1) and Minneapolis’ Phil Williams (15-8-2).

Lori Oṣu Kẹwa. 14, FloBoxing will live stream the WBO International Cruiserweight title fight between Noel Gevor (21-0) and Mirko Larghetti (24-2).
