Oscar Cantu vs. Aston Palicte Twin-title fight headlines Dec. 17th “Knockout Night at the D” kartë

“The Cantu-Palicte fight is a classic match-up between a boxer and puncher,” Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions co-founder/CEO Keith Veltre tha. “It’s for two title belts and the winner will be positioned for a possible world title shot in 2017. Our final event of the year promises to be our best yet with evenly matched, entertaining fights that our ‘Knockout Night at the D’ series is known for with nesër-së stars up-and-down the card.”

The heavy-handed Palicte, who has knocked out 18 e tij 21 victims, is rated No. 5 by the NABF and No. 15 by the NABA. Palicte, 25, also owns his share of title belts, including the IBF Youth super flyweight strap. In Palicte’s only pro fight outside of his native Philippines, he lost a highly disputed 10-round split decision (97-94, 93-97, 94-97) last March to local favorite Junior Granados (14-4-1) në Meksikë.
Chilean junior middleweight champion Angelo Baez (15-0-1, 11 KO) takes on Jamaican-native Nathaniel Gallimore (15-1-1, 12 KO), fighting out of Evanston, Illinois, in the eight-round co-feature.
Undefeated welterweight Flavio Rodriguez (5-0, 4 KO) faces Mexican invader Dilan “Terrible” Loza (5-0, 3 KO) in the six-round television opener.

Austin, TX (Shtatë. 27, 2016) – FloSports today announced it has agreed to terms with MP & Silva, an international sports marketing agency, for the live media rights in the United States to the WBA Light Heavyweight title fight Tetor. 1 between Juergen Braehmer (48-2) and Nathan Cleverly (29-3). The main event will be the seventh defense of Braehmer’s WBA regular light heavyweight world title. It is the first title opportunity for Cleverly since being defeated for the WBO title by Sergey Kovalev in August of 2013. The promotion is presented by Team Sauerland.

The German-born Braehmer has won 17 consecutive fights since his last loss in 2008, while British-born Cleverly is coming off a “Lufta e vitit” performance in a narrow defeat to Andrzej Fonfara in October 2015. The two fighters were originally scheduled to meet in 2011, but Braehmer was forced to withdraw after suffering a cut in sparring.

A win for either fighter would put them in the conversation for potential unification fights with either WBC champion Adonis Stevenson or the winner of November’s Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev matchup.

Live coverage of the Braehmer vs. Cleverly fight will follow the undercard fight between WBA Intercontinental Light Heavyweight champion Enrico Koelling (21-1) and contender Ryno Liebenberg (17-3).

After the conclusion of the card in Germany, FloBoxing will be live streaming an eight-fight card from Grand Casino in Hinckley, Nga., that is headlined by a fight between two of America’s top cruiserweights in Atlanta’s Brian Howard (11-1) and Minneapolis’ Phil Williams (15-8-2).
