ŠTA: In the latest installment of the original digital franchise Fight Night, SHOWTIME Sports® takes viewers behind the scenes of last Friday’s ShoBox: The New Generation Main Event, as 19-year-old Devin Haney scored an impressive unanimous decision over former world title-challenger Juan Carlos Burgos.

Devin Haney: Fight Night takes viewers into the minds of the fighter and his family, from the pre-fight tranquility to the post-fight jubilation, with distinct cinematography and exclusive audio captured from Pechanga Resort Casino. Now a perfect 20-0 sa 13 KOs, Haney showed poise beyond his years throughout his second consecutive ShoBox Main Event.

“When I’m getting my hands wrapped, when I’m lacing up my boots and putting on my uniform, that’s when it starts getting real and the butterflies set in”, said Haney just hours before entering the ring. “That’s when I know it’s time.”

This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, we discuss the latest news in MMA and boxing, recap the past week’s events and preview the upcoming events this week. We also discuss Walter “2 Guns” Wright winning his main event fight against Mark DeLuca a couple days after we interviewed him last week. Wright’s split decision win came in part due to a persistent jab that frustrated DeLuca and left him bloodied, bruised and exhausted by the final bell. Of course bringing up this fact gets us all going on the absolute necessity of the jab in any combat sports fighter’s toolbox.

Among the news we touch on:

The rumors about Manny Pacquiao’s next fight with Lucas Matthysse being in jeopardy, Manny and his team say everything is on track.

Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks retires (also forgot to mention Rashad Evans retired as well).

Demetrius Andrade Goes To Harvard

PROVIDENCE (Novembar 4, 2015) – Prošlog četvrtka noć, undefeated super welterweight Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (22-0, 15 KOs) nagrađen je od strane Harvard klubu u svom godišnjem Fight Night u Bostonu Povratak Bay.
27-godišnji Andrade, bori se Providence, is a former world super welterweight champion. The sensational southpaw was a 2008 U.S. Olympian i 2007 AIBA World Championships osvajač zlatne medalje.
“Bilo je super što je na Harvard klub s toliko uspješnih ljudi koji podržavaju boks,” Andrade said. “Bio sam zahvalan za njih pokazuje toliko zanimanje za mene.”
