סאַן אַנטאָניאָ (יולי 23, 2016) – Undefeated prospect פאַביאַן מאַידאַנאַ (10-0, 7 קאָס) scored a seventh-round technical knockout victory over Jorge Maysonet Jr. (13-2, 11 קאָס) Saturday night in the main event of פּרעמיער באָקסינג טשאַמפּיאָנס אויף נבקסן from the Scottish Rite Auditorium in San Antonio.
With his brother, former world champion Marcos Maidana, sitting at ringside, the Argentine-slugger overcame a slow start and a first-round bloody nose for a sensational one-sided beat-down of the Puerto Rican brawler Maysonet, who failed to answer the bell for the seventh round of Saturday’s main event.
Referee Rafael Ramos, acting on the advice of Maysonet’s corner, called the fight as Maidana dominated the punch stats with a 60-22 advantage in overall punches, 49-15 in power shots, און 11-7 in jabs.
Maysonet came to fight and pressed Maidana from the beginning, eventually, nailing Maidana with a right hand to the nose that opened up a steady flow of blood.
Sensing the urgency, Maidana stormed back in the second, rocking Maysonet with a right hand, left hook combination with just over 10 seconds to go in a round in which he out-landed Maysonet 12-4 in power shots.
Maidana’s kept up a versatile attack in the third round using head movement, stick-and-move tactics and a varied assortment of punches to keep up his advantage over Maysonet.
Maidana turned the match in his favor in the next round, delivering an impressive battering of Maysonet over the final 20 seconds of the round.
The Argentine was even more dominant in the one-sided fifth and sixth rounds, doubling up on his hooks, firing straight rights and landing head-snapping shots that began the demise of a fading Maysonet.
ונדעפעאַטעד אַלאַן קאַסטאַנאָ (11-0, 7 קאָס) failed to earn his third straight knockout despite out-landing his opponent 157-94 in overall punches, winning his middleweight bout by unanimous decision (78-74 דרייַ מאָל) over 22-year-old Aaron Garcia (15-6-1, 10 קאָס).
The 23-year-old Castano was accurate early in the first round with clean right hands supporting a stiff jab. The attack caused immediate swelling over Garcia’s left eye entering the second round, where he temporarily was able to trap and hammer away at Garcia with combinations against the ropes.
Garcia dominated the final 45 minutes of the second round with a momentum-swinging right to the head followed by successive combinations from both fighters at the bell.
A third-round clash of heads caused a nasty gash over Garcia’s right eye that increasingly streamed blood, forcing Garcia to go on the offensive, as Castano countered effectively with both hands to the head and body in an action-packed fourth round.
Castano continued to control the fight, establishing angles from behind his jab, follow-up rights and clean left uppercuts while Garcia stayed competitive throughout the round.
Fighting beyond six rounds for the first time in his career, Castano spent the final two rounds on the defensive, jabbing and countering from a distance and staying off the ropes on his way to winning unanimously.
The televised opener saw 19-year-old בראַנדאָן פיגועראָאַ (9-0, 7 קאָס) score a pair of final-round knockdowns on the way to his fifth-straight stoppage victory as he earned a TKO over Adalberto Zorrilla(7-2, 7 קאָס) בייַ די 2:44 mark of the third round.
The southpaw Figueroa, brother of former world champion Omar Figueroa, pressed forward with a double-fisted attack from the outset, but Zorrilla landed several uppercuts cleanly up the middle, refusing to back down from the challenge of the unbeaten prospect.
Zorrilla began to out-work the oncoming Figueroa to the head and body through the second round before being penalized for repeated low blows late in the round by referee Rafael Ramos.
The fighters engaged toe-to-toe, at ring center to start the third until a Figueroa left to the head rocked Zorrilla to the ropes. Figueroa saw his opportunity and pounced, flooring him with a left hand near the one-minute mark.
Zorrilla beat the count and engaged immediately, staggering Figueroa with a left jab. Figueroa came back to floor him for good, מיט 18 seconds to go after a left to the body followed by one to the head. The blows sent Zorrilla to his back beneath a bottom rope, where Ramos waved an end to the fight.
Here is what the fighters had to say Saturday night:
FABIAN MAIDANA
We were very pleased with our performance. He caught me with a good shot that drew blood from my nose in the first round. I just kept calm, listened to my corner and stuck to the game plan. I knew I was the stronger fighter; I just had to remain patient.
I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get to knock him out, but I sensed that he would eventually quit. He stopped throwing punches and didn’t want to fight back.
It means everything to have Chino (Marcos Maidana) by my side, supporting my career. It meant a lot to get this win on US TV in the same city where he beat Adrien Broner (אין דעצעמבער. '13) and became a star. With each fight, I want to show fans that I’m Fabian Maidana, not just his little brother. I proved that tonight and will do so with more experience. I’m ready to carry the family name in the ring.
This was only my 10th pro fight. I’m going to keep improving each time. ווייַטער קאַמף, I will look even better, no matter when it is.
JORGE MAYSONET
I had him hurt early, but I couldn’t put my punches together after that. I gave 100% of what I had, but I really only had 50% of my best stuff. I’m a lightweight. They wanted the fight at super lightweight, דעמאָלט 143. We took the fight because of who he is, really who his brother is.
“צו זיין ערלעך, we don’t think much of him as a fighter. He’s bigger than me and was able to beat me that way. My corner saw that I reached a point where I couldn’t fight the way I wanted to. We didn’t want to disappoint the crowd by going out there and not fighting, so my corner stopped the fight and I respect their decision. This isn’t the last of me, I’m coming back at my natural weight and will go on to achieve great things in this sport.
ALAN CASTANO
“איך בין זייער צופרידן מיט מיין פאָרשטעלונג. It was my first time going eight rounds, I had a lot of energy throughout the fight and was able to do everything I wanted in there.
He was tough, but we knew that going in. I didn’t pay a lot of attention to his fight with Brian (Alan’s older brother, who beat Garcia by eight-round decision last December). I couldn’t tell you if he was any different tonight than when he fought that night. I just know what I wanted to do. He gave me a good test that I needed at this point in my career.
I’d love to come back as soon as my team can make a fight for me.
בראַנדאָן פיגועראָאַ
It was good to get the knockout, but I felt very off tonight, very sluggish. I like the activity I’ve had but this might be the first time in my career where I need a break.
This was the toughest test to date for me. I knew that going into the fight and he landed a few good shots. This was a night where I needed to be at my best. I wasn’t but fortunate to get the job done.
I know the left hook landed to his body to end the fight, but I don’t even remember it. I felt a little sick towards the end of training camp. My focus was just trying to get him out of there. I did that, so now it’s time to act like a teenager and enjoy a summer vacation, maybe slow it down just a little.

RANCES BARTHELEMY WINS LIGHTWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN TOE-TO-TOE BATTLE AGAINST DENIS SHAFIKOV IN HEADLINING BOUT OF FINAL PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS ON SPIKE CARD OF 2015 FROM THE PEARL AT THE PALMS CASINO RESORT IN LAS VEGAS

לאַס וועגאַס (דעצעמבער 18) – די “forcewas with Cuban star and newly crowned lightweight world champion ראַנסעס באַרטעלאַמי (24-0, 13 קאָס) as he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Russian southpaw דעניס שאַפיקאָוו (36-2-1, 19 קאָס) in the headlining bout of the final פּרעמיער באָקסינג טשאַמפּיאָנס (פּבק) אויף ספּייק fight card of 2015. The four-fight telecast, which was supported by non-televised fights featuring some of Mayweather Promotions’ רייזינג שטערן, took place at the Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Coming off of a luxury world tour, פלויד מייַוועאַטהער returned stateside and sat ringside as promoter of tonight’s fights. The recently retired five-division world champion, who also learned today he was selected asספּאָרט יללוסטראַטעד פייטער פון די יאר, was animated and engaged through the final bell of the evening.
די הויפּט געשעעניש, which started off as a close toe-to-toe battle, ended in the Barthelemy’s favor as he swept the latter quarter of the bout. Shafikov controlled the beginning of the fight, staying in the pocket and throwing more powerful punches than Barthelemy as the Cuban had a difficult time adjusting to the significantly shorter, yet stronger, style of Shafikov.
The turning point of the fight occurred when a cut caused by a punch by Barthelemy opened up above Shafikov’s right eye in the eighth round. The blood began to poor furiously and referee Vic Drakulich called the ringside doctor over to inspect the cut. When the fight resumed, Barthelemy attacked the Russian’s eye and never let up for the remainder of the fight. He took advantage of the cut and coupled it with his height and reach advantage which led to a recipe for success as he is now a two-division world champion. The judges saw the bout 119-109 און 116-112 צוויי מאָל.
There were moments where I was trapped into my style of fighting. It took me a minute to adjust to Shafikov’s style and exchange punches with him,” האט באַרטהעלעמי. “I’m really happy with the number of punches I was able to get off.
I was really impressed with Shafiov’s warrior style. He never gave up even after getting hurt with punches that were affecting his fight. That really caught me by surprise and also that he was able to last the whole fight. The fact that he continued really says something about him as a fighter.
I’m not sure if I won the fight,” האט שאַפיקאָוו. “I’m very disappointed and I want a rematch.
The co-main event saw a bizarre ending to what was to be a cruiserweight elimination bout. Detroit southpawיסיאַה תו (15-0, 6 קאָס) was winning the fight on all three judgesscorecards through round three when Russian power-puncher מוראַט “ייַזן” גאַססיעוו (22-0, 16 קאָס) threw accidental late blows to Thomashead after the bell. The punches forced referee Jay Nady to make the tough call that the punchesdiminished the valueof Thomasability to continue. As the fight had not yet gone four rounds, unified rules state that the fight does not go to the scorecards, thus ruling it a no contest.
Chris Pearson (16-1 11 קאָס), a promising super welterweight from Dayton, Ohio put his previously undefeated record on the line against fellow unbeaten Eric Walker (12-0, 6 קאָס) of Plaquemine, Louisiana in the second televised bout. Walker came out strong, dominating the early rounds against Pearson, another member of the stable of rising stars from Mayweather Promotions. A wobbled Pearson persevered and attempted to turn the tide in an action-packed fifth round with a series of head shots.

The seventh round saw both fighters exchanging a brutal barrage of punches culminating with a fast-paced eighth and final round drawing a standing ovation from the crowd. The underdog Walker, who spent 13 years in Dixon Correctional Institute in Louisiana, scored a unanimous decision victory (79-71, 78-74, 80-72) winning the biggest fight of his life in front of a captivated national TV audience.

If you believe in God and work hard at what you’re doing, you’re going to succeed,” האט וואָקער. “Look at me now.
I had watched his previous fights and knew that my right hand would be too much for him and that I could land it anytime,” continued Walker. “My conditioning was really the difference tonight. I was in great shape and I was able to rely on that when the going got tough.

Pearson was disappointed in the decision and was left wanting a rematch.

I take my hat off to him,” said Pearson. “His punches were crisp and hard. I just couldn’t get going on anything consistently. I thought it was closer than the judgesscorecards and I definitely want a rematch as soon as possible.

אין דער עפענונג באַוט פון די אָוונט, one of boxing’s fast rising stars, גערוואָנטאַ “די איין” דייוויס (14-0, 13 קאָס) out of Baltimore put his undefeated record on the line against Mexico’s Luis Sanchez (17-5-1, 5 קאָס) in a lightweight clash.

דייוויס, a 21-year-old protégé of Mayweather, lived up to his reputation as a budding superstar scoring a hard-fought ninth round knockout victory. Sanchez showed his toughness and resiliency as he forced Davis to fight three rounds longer than any fight of his career.Davis showed his speed and power in the eighth round as he landed an uppercut to knock down his determined opponent. In the ninth round, he threw a massive left hand to finish Sanchez, sending Mayweather to his feet in celebration.

It felt great to fight all of these rounds and get the work in,” האט דייוויס. “He’s a tough fighter and I learned a great deal tonight. It was a very good experience for me.
I just listened to my corner and Floyd, took my time and broke him down. I want to fight again as soon as possible for a world title.
מייַוועאַטהער, who was very pleased with Davisperformance, sees the young undefeated fighter’s future as bright.
It’s always good to go out there and get the W,” האט מייַוועאַטהער. “ער ס יונג. He’s still learning. We’re looking forward to him being a world champion some day.
Mayweather relished in the opportunity to promote one of the final fights of the year in his hometown of Las Vegas saying, “I’m so happy we were able to showcase on national television some of the talented fighters we have at Mayweather Promotions. געווינען אָדער פאַרלירן, I am proud of all of them.
More importantly I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and thank for them supporting me, Mayweather Promotions and The Money Team throughout all of these years. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Carson, קאַליף. (אַפּריל 18, 2015) – Confident and determined, אַנדריי “The Polishפּרינס” פאָנפאַראַ (27-3, 16 קאָס) spoiled the ring return of דזשוליאָ Cesar שאַוועז דזשוניער. (48-2-1, 32 קאָס) in resounding fashion שבת נאַכט, flooring the former middleweight champion one time en route to a one-sided ninth-round TKO in the main event ofשאָוטיים טשאַמפּיאָנשיפּ באָקסינג לעבן אויף שאָוטיים.

פאָנפאַראַ, of Chicago by way of Radon, פוילן, dropped Chavez, of Culiacan, Sinaloa, מעקסיקא, with a wide left hook 50 seconds into the ninth round before a boisterous crowd of 8,636 predominately-Chavez fans at StubHub Center. It was the first time in 52 professional fights that Chavez had hit the canvas from a punch.

Upon returning to the corner, Chavez could be heard on the telecast telling trainer דזשאָו גאָאָססען that he had hurt his right leg and could no longer continue. רגעס שפּעטער, the fight was halted. The busier and more accurate fighter throughout, Fonfara was comfortably ahead on the three judgesscorecards by scored of 89-80 און 88-81 twice after nine full rounds.

Offered an ecstatic Fonfara, who had his fair share of Polish fans at the venue: “I knew he was a tough fighter, quick and in good shape but when he hit me for the first time in the first round, I knew I was going to win this fight. He didn’t punch as hard as everybody said he did.

I saw his punches easily coming in. I know I threw more punches. I was a little surprised that he did not come out for the (10טה) but he was cut, had been getting beat up and had just got knocked down, so he knew what would happen if he came out.

Chavez said before the fight that he didn’t think I could take his body punches. I think I took them pretty good and passed that test.

I know there are things I can still work on in training to become a more complete boxer, אָבערהייַנט בייַ נאַכט was a dream come true. I want a rematch with (Light Heavyweight World Champion) אַדאָניס סטיוואַנסאַן.

Said Chavez, the son of legendary Mexican icon, דזשוליאָ Cesar שאַוועז סיסטער. in the ring afterward and before he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, “Maybe 170,172 pounds is too big for me, maybe I’ll go back down. I’m not sure what my future holds. It was a very tough fight. But I congratulate Andrzej.

Goossen told reporters afterward that he hadstopped the fight. It was my decision. I didn’t like what I saw. ”

In the first half of a SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING doubleheader, undefeated world-ranked super lightweight אַמיר איך (17-0, 14 קאָס), of Davie, פלאַ., דורך וועג פון אַלבאַני, נ.י., won a lopsided 10-round decision over Walter “די האַממער” שלאָס.

The talented, versatile, איך האָבן, 24, controlled a fight that featured numerous exchanges especially early on with a left jab and straight right hand.

My combinations were effective the whole night, we stuck to our gameplan and came out victorious,” said Imam. “I want any of the world champions next”.

שלאָס, who saw a nine-fight winning streak come to an end, האט “I thought I won the fight. I didn’t get credit for the punches I threw. The judge who scored it 100-90; געזונט, that gives me no chance to win here. The cut bothered me in the early rounds, but was not a factor after.

פריער שבת, on SHOWTIME EXTREME, ונדעפעאַטעד מאָיסעס “El Chucky” פלאָווערס (23-0, 16 קאָס), פון Guadalajara, מעקסיקא, captured the WBA Super Bantamweight Interim World Championship with a thrilling 12-round split decision over defending champion אָסקאַר עסקאַנדאָן (24-2 16 קאָס), of Tolima, קאָלאָמביאַ.

פלאָווערס, מאכן זיין 2015 debut and third start in a row in the United States, מנצח דורך די סקאָרז פון 116-112 צוויי מאָל און 113-115.

An emotional Flores was near tears afterward. “דעם איז אַ חלום קומען אמת – more than a dream come truefor me,” ער האט. “I saw my family on the beach, eating meat. I saw my babies better dressed. For me this is a life-changing victory and, יאָ, I thought it was very, very close but I absolutely feel I won.

I want to fight the best next, the top guys at 122 pounds and right now the top guy is לעאָ סאַנטאַ קרוז. That’s who I’d like to fight next. I really want to thank all my team, from top to bottom, for giving me this wonderful opportunity. We’re very happy that we joined the Al Haymon team. We’re very loyal and we just really appreciate everything they’ve done for us.

Escandon felt he’d done enough to win despite injuring the right index finger on his right hand in the seventh round.

I did all that I could, everything was in my reach, but I think I broke or fractured my finger,” ער האט. “In boxing things happen that are out of your control. Because I hurt my hand, I couldn’t throw punches the way I wanted to with my right hand. I tried to do all I could with it. But I didn’t want to injure it further. I’m OK, but I definitely would love a rematch.

In the SHOWTIME EXTREME co-feature, יבער וועלטערווייט אָמאַר “El Businessman”טשאַוועז (33-3-1, 22 קאָס), of Culiacan, the younger brother of Chavez, דזשוניער. and son of legendary Julio Cesar Sr., won an exciting, שווער-מלחמה געהאלטן, give-and-take eight-round unanimous decision over Richard Gutierrez (28-16-1, 17 קאָס), of Arjona, קאָלאָמביאַ.

Chavez won by the scores of 78-75 צוויי מאָל און 77-74. There were no knockdowns.

What the fighters, trainers and executives said דאָנערשטיק:

דזשוליאָ Cesar שאַוועז דזשוניער., ערשטע וועלט טשאַמפּיאָן

I had a great training camp. I feel better than ever. I am ready for the fight.

I know that this is a new weight class for me. I realize that Fonfara is very tough and bigger than me, but I am up for the challenge.

I have worked on my boxing during my one year off, and I am very excited and motivated to get back in the ring.

I have worked so hard for this fight because I am fighting in a new weight class. I must punch harder, so I have focused on getting stronger during this training camp.

I have a great chin, I know how to take punches and my conditioning is great. A lot of fighters can take a punch, but I can take multiple punches and not be hurt.

I think that Andrzej Fonfara is one of the best fighters in the light heavyweight division. Inside of boxing, everyone knows who Fonfara is. He knocked down one of the best boxers in the world in Adonis Stevenson.

Fonfara is disciplined in the ring, but he doesn’t vary his punches.

I understand that my dad didn’t want me to take this fight. I had bigger names I could’ve fought, but I think that Fonfara is a great challenge for me and I like the challenge.

I would like to thank SHOWTIME for making this fight happen.

אַנדריי פאָנפאַראַ, World Title Challenger

I’m prepared very well and I’m ready for this fight. It’s been a great camp like always. I train hard for each fight. I’m a tough boxer who is feeling great. The weight is good and everything is perfect.

I must put everything into שבת night and I will win the fight.

I must look even better than I did against Stevenson. Everyone said I looked good, but I lost the fight. I didn’t want congratulations because I did not win the fight. But this time I will win the fight. I’m ready for a decision or for a knockout.

I’m ready with a couple of plans. I don’t want to run around the ring, I want to fight tough. I’m going to use my jab and my right hand, which is my best punch.

I’m not worried about what his father said about not fighting me. שאַוועז דזשוניער. wants to fight and I will show him that his father was right.

It doesn’t matter how I win, I want to win this fight and get my rematch with Adonis Stevenson.

“שאַוועז דזשוניער. איז אַ גרויס פייטער. He uses a lot of combinations and has a powerful punch that I must be ready for. I want to show the whole world how good I am when I win this fight אויף שבת.

If I get the chance, איך בין געגאנגען צו קלאַפּן אים אויס. It’s boxing so you never know what will happen. I want to box round-by-round and win this fight.

I lost the fight with Stevenson but I showed that I was a good boxer. I’m a much smarter fighter now because of that experience. That was a fight at the top championship level.

It doesn’t matter what Chavez Jr. says at a press conference, we’ll be in the ring שבתand everything will happen there.

Fan’s can expect heavy punches, knockdowns and a great fight.

אַמיר ליבע, ונדעפעאַטעד יבער לייטווייט קאַנטענדער

I’m confident going into this fight because of how I train. I have put my heart and soul into this sport since I moved to Florida three years ago. I left everything behind to better myself.

I’m going to stay smart and composed in there and do everything I can to get the win.

I don’t feel like I need the knockout to come away with a successful fight. אָבער, you better believe that if there is an opportunity to knock him out, then I will take advantage of it.

“אין 2015, איך ווילן צו ווערן אַ וועלט מייַסטער. This is my breakout year. A lot of people have been buzzing about me. I want to become the WBC world champion, that’s what I’m heading for.

“איך וויסן ער ס [שלאָס] a good opponent, he’s got a great resume, and he’s coming to fight. He has a great record, so that alone shows what he’s capable of. אַזאַ ווי שבת night may the better man win.

I’ve boxed styles like [זייַן] plenty of times, but you never know, he could come out different שבתנאַכט.

I’m ready to put on a great show for the SHOWTIME audience.

קאַסטיאָו וואָלטער, יבער לייטווייט קאַנטענדער

I’m coming here to fight. I can tell you one thing, Amir Imam made a big mistake by taking this fight.

I’ve fought a lot of tough fighters; my two losses were by decisions where I feel I was robbed. I’ve fought better fighters than Amir has.

“אַזאַ ווי שבת, I’m going to announce to the whole world that Walter Castillo is here to stay and he’s going to be a world champion.

סיסטער דזשוליאָ Cesar טשאַוועז.

Being in Los Angeles is like being in Mexico for me; I have had many great memories. I became the world champion for this first time here and my son also became the world champion for the first time here, צו.

Julio definitely has a very difficult fight ahead of him.

If I was Julio’s manager, I wouldn’t have taken this fight. Fonfara is a difficult and tough fighter.

My son wants to fight fighters of quality and wants credibility in boxing.

Julio has worked and trained very hard for this fight .He has the capability to win and we expect that it will go very well.

JOE GOOSSEN, טשאַוועז’ טראַינער

Julio has a window here the next five, six, seven years that he can capitalize on.

I think he’s left the childish stuff behind, and we’re all guilty of being childish.

I think that Julio has surprised his father with his determination heading into this fight.

He’s got a left hook to the liver that just sends a shock through your body.

He’s not soft. He’s a real fighter. I have been around enough fighters to know that he’s a real fighter. נומער איין, he has the never-say- die attitude in there.

We’re up against a very well-schooled, blue collar, workmanlike fighter in Fonfara.

He is an athletic, improvisational fighter, in that you don’t know where everything’s coming from.

I’ve watched a lot of Fonfara tape, and he pretty much repeats what he does, but he repeats it well.

This is going to be a battle. You’ve got two contrasting styles and personalities.

Julio has 51 fights under his belt. He’s no rookie and he comes from a great bloodline. (In the short time I’ve been with him, it has been) more of an association than a dictatorial effort between the two of us.

Based on former camps, he’s never really extracted himself from comfortable surroundings and put himself in a position where he is completely isolated like he was in Lake Tahoe.

SAM COLONNA, Fonfara’s Trainer

Fonfara could turn it up whenever. He could be down on the scorecards and one punch he throws could change someone’s world. He’s proven in the past that he has power in both hands.

The styles in this fight are perfect for each other. When people ask about the fight I say it could go either way, it depends on who catches the other first.

I’m looking for Fonfara to dominate, but Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is a warrior, he comes to fight, he knows how to go to the body like his father used to, so we’ve been working on all of these strategies.

A knockout win would be a dream come true to me. That’s what I’ve been looking for all these years. Winning this huge fight would change everything for Fonfara and myself.

This camp that Andrzej had was the best we’ve ever had. He worked hard, he had time to train and there’s no excuses.

We’re coming to fight a war. Don’t forget that wars are won by strategy.

People say to listen to your father. His father told him not to take this fight, but he took it anyway and that was a mistake.

I see this fight not going past 10 ראָונדס, with us getting the knockout.

STACY MCKINLEY, ימאַם ס טראַינער

Amir has always trained very hard, but I did see a change in him in this training camp after the last fight. He has stepped up his training by two levels.

He learned a lot about his fight against [Fidel Maldonado] under the bright SHOWTIME lights at the MGM Grand.

Amir is always confident going into each fight, but he made a mistake in the Maldonado fight. He rolled his right hand and forgot about the left hand and was knocked down. He had to pay for his mistakes but it’s all a learning experience, he still has only 16 professional fights under his belt.

Castillo has a great jab and good combinations. A guy like that throws a lot of punches, but there is a technique to breaking down a fighter like that.

We can’t spend a lot of time on the ropes, and we must go after his body because his body is weak. Castillo is going to get knocked out אויף שבת.

I think that Amir is going to open up a lot of eyes אויף שבת.”
