LONG BEACH, Calif. “KO Noapte Box: Rumble on the Water 2” was presented by Black Tree, and promoted by Roy Englebrecht Promotions, in association with KO Night Boxing LLC and Roc Nation Sports.

The 5′ 4″ Williams (12-0, 5 KO), fighting out of New Haven (CT), exploded with pin-point accuracy, also displaying his new-found power, dropping Gonzalez 30-8, 26 KO), din Nicaragua, three time in the first round. The crafty southpaw finished off his more experienced opponent with a perfectly placed right-left combination, right on the button, for his third and final knockdown. Referee Raul Caiz, Jr. waved off the action, not bothering to count, as Gonzalez lay vertical on his back in dire straits.
“I prepared well for this fight and anything can happen when I work hard,” Williams remarked after his third consecutive knockout victory. “I felt his power early with a body shot but I stayed focused.

“You can’t learn if you don’t go rounds,” Younan correctly noted after the fight. “I’m only going to improve. Guy kept moving forward the entire fight. There were a couple of things that bothered me, but I went eight hard rounds and won. Thank you to Mike Guy for that.”
Former Winthrop College (SC) baschet jucător Jonnie Rice (7-2-1, 4 KO), luptând din Los Angeles, opened the televised broadcast with a convincing six-round unanimous decision over Rodney “King Corso” Hernandez (10-6-2, 2 KO), de Fresno (CA).

Favorit Hometown Raul Calderon (1-0) pitched a shutout over Eric Gomez (0-1), winning a four-round unanimous decision (40-36 X 3), in a battle of pro-debuting Californians. Fighting under the Roc Nation banner, Younan was a highly-decorated amateur boxer, compiling an outstanding 90-5 record. Given his success, Younan elected to turn pro in 2013 as an 18-year-old, rather than wait several years for an opportunity to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Box Echipa.
Younan started boxing competitively as an eight-year-old and, numai doi ani mai tarziu, The New York Times crowned him a “boxing prodigy”. During his impressive amateur career, he collected several belts, medals and awards, including nine championship performances in the Junior Olympics as well as the Junior Metros, eight in the New York State Silver Gloves, and five more in the Regional Silver Gloves. He was also a four-time National Silver Gloves recipient, three-time Ringside World winner, three-time National PAL, and two-time National Junior Golden Gloves champion. Nagging injuries somewhat curtailed Younan’s development, limiting him to one fight in 2015. After a nine-month layoff, he returned triumphantly on March 26, 2016 to defeat Cristian Solorzano, de Sonora, Mexic, on the Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera undercard at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. With a win by way of a four-round unanimous decision, Younan improved his unblemished record to 8-0.

Three of Younan’s last four fights have ended in the opening round, including his most recent on Iunie 17 on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev 2 undercard at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Brooklyn bomber made quick work of the Hungarian veteran Zoltan Sera (28-14, 20 KO) la 1:39 marcă.

Promoters Team Up to Present World-Class Night of Boxing in Guadalajara, Mexic, februarie 11

Pe Sâmbătă, Februarie 11, at Jalisco Guadalajara Arena in Guadalajara, Mexic, a trio of well-established promoters, Eddie Reynoso of Clase y Talento Boxeo, Eric Gomez of Golden Boy Promotions and Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing, will team up to present a night of world-class boxing featuring some of Latin America’s future champions.
The event will be presented in association with and broadcast by RingTV.com and TyC Sports of Argentina for the 25th anniversary of their popular Boxeo De Primera to most of North and South America.
In the explosive 10-round main event, Buenos Aires, Argentina’s undefeated Juan Jose “El Pitbull” Velasco (14-0, 8 KO) will defend his WBA Fedebol Welterweight Championship against once-beaten Fernando “El Cacho” Marin (13-1-3, 9 KO) of Monterrey, Mexic.
In the eight-round super featherweight co-main event, Córdoba, Argentina’s Jose Matias Romero (12-0, 5 KO) will take on Guadalajara’s Bernardo “Benny” Gomez Uribe (18-6, 11 KO).
On the exciting undercard will be a six-round lightweight scrap between Los Mochis, México’s Jairo “Jimmy” Llanes (9-1-1, 8 KO) facing Emmanuel “Razboinicul” Valenzuela (4-5, 2 KO) of Ciudad Obregón, México; and eight-round heavyweight battle featuring Guadalajara’s undefeated Filiberto “Chiquilín” Tovar (5-0, 2 KO) taking on Lawrence Elizondo (8-1, 3 KO) of Monterrey, México; o “all Guadalajara” six-round super featherweight bout between Heliodoro Napoles (2-2, 1 KO) and Carlos Mauricio Rochas (1-2).
Five four-round bouts will open the show, featuring super featherweights Alexander Villa (3-0, 3 KO) of Guadalajara and Zapopan, Mexico’s Hugo Barajas (0-2); featherweights Jair Campos (1-0, 1 KO) de Tepic, Nayarit and Guadalajara’s Leonardo Cervantes (1-8); as well as three more “All Guadalajara” match-ups, including junior middleweights Oscar Larios (Pro Debut) and Juan Carlos González (Pro Debut); welterweights Walter Loera (1-0, 1 KO) and Angel Fernando Lambarena (0-1); and lightweights Jose Manuel Garcia (1-0, 1 KO) and Luis Guzman (0-1).

LAS VEGAS (Jan. 17) – Promoții băiatul de aur alături de Ochi de Management Tigera avut loc o masă rotundă intim la MGM Grand din Las Vegas, pentru a discuta despre semnarea recentă a David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KO) a Promoții băiatul de aur. Impresionant pretendent mijlocie Lemieux, Fondator și președinte al Promoții băiat de aur Oscar De La Hoya, Viitorul Hall of Fame și de Aur Promoții Boy partenere Bernard Hopkins, Președintele Eye of Management Tiger Camille Estephan, și Senior Vice President al Promoții băiat de aur Eric Gomez au fost toate în prezență.
