Having grown up the son of a former undisputed and two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Hasim Rahman Jr., doesn’t mind that the world will be watching from the beginning of his professional boxing career.
“This isn’t new,” explained Rahman. “I’m so used to being who I am and having eyes on me that it would be awkward to not have them. It hasn’t mattered who I was my whole life, or what I did. The world was watching because of who my father is.”

“My dad is like an advisor,” he continued. “My dad is the only person I know that truly has my best interests at heart. Anybody else I ever dealt with, it always came down to money at the end of the day. My dad never asks me for anything. I know he knows the game and I know that with him on my team, the sky is the limit.”
25-year-old Rahman is getting a later-than-expected start at his highly-anticipated boxing career. Coming off his successful 100-fight run as an amateur, the buzz was all around the 6′ 3″ 250-фунт. боєць, but a fatal car accident in 2012 saw him serving a 2- to 5-year sentence with the Department of Corrections.
Recently released and now ready to go on with life, Rahman says the entire experience changed him for the good. “It was an eye-opener for me. Rahman says he doesn’t know much about first opponent Imes, but he and trainer Kenny Ellis are hard at work at Upton Boxing Center in Baltimore.

Signing with Greg Cohen Promotions was an easy decision, according to Rahman, who has known the Jersey-based promoter for most of his life.

The fight was the 6th consecutive sellout crowd at the venue under the Rising Promotions banner.

LaManna used his length, and was effective with his jab as he set up solid body work with both hands and came upstairs to befuddle the 53-fight veteran.

LaManna settled into a groove in the middle rounds, and showed confidence in his punches. LaManna did a nice job mixing up his boxing and his willingness to trade on the inside, for which he got the better of the action on both accounts.
“I felt great being back in the ring. My last fight definitely taught me a lot about myself and what I could do, and I used it in this fight. This guy is tough man, I had him hurt quite a few times with both body and head shots but he somehow survived,” сказав LaManna.

Mussachio, who won a unanimous decision over Willis Lockett last May 27th. That nout was his first bout after a three-plus year off.
“I tried to get away from boxing, but something brought me back,” said Mussachio. “I am happy to be on a card back in Atlantic City.”
This will be Mussachio’s 17th fight in Atlantic City.
Pham is on the rebound following his loss to Christopher Brooker on Last July 9th in Trenton, Нью-Джерсі.
Like most fighters, Pham chalked up the loss to Brooker as a learning experience.

“Flores has been in with numerous world champions,” said LaManna of Flores, who has competed with the likes of Kermit Cintron Carlos Baldomir and Diego Chaves. “He is a rugged veteran, and has only been stopped a handful of times, and the last time that happened, he was fighting a middleweight. He will come to fight. I am looking to one-up all the champions that he has fought.”
To do that, LaManna is looking to take a relaxed approach, and he is not going into the fight looking for a knockout.
“I believe in my boxing skills, ring generalship and I will get the job done. I plan a smart 8 раундів боксу. It will be exciting because it will be packed inside The Claridge. I am looking to get this win and get back to a rematch with Dusty. Even though this fight is at junior middleweight, I am a welterweight, and I want that rematch.”
“I had an amazing training camp. The loss to Harrison made me hungrier, and that has motivated me even more than before.”
This will be LaManna’s fourth appearance at the Claridge. This will be ths 6th sold-out show and LaManna’s relationship with the hotel is helping a rebirth of boxing in Atlantic City.

The 25 year-old is coming off a defeat to undefeated Dusty Hernandez Harrison in a thrilling bout that took place on September 15th у Філадельфії.

Атлантік-Сіті, Нью-Джерсі (Липня 19, 2016)–У цю п'ятницю ніч в Claridge в Атлантік-Сіті, напівсередній, Ентоні “Сік” Young will be in the headlining bout for the first time, and he gets to do it in front of his hometown fans as he takes on Eduardo Flores in six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.
The 28 year-old former college football player will look for his 2nd straight win and in the process look to put on a dominant performance against a man who has more than three-times the amount of fights then the Atlantic City native.
“Camp has gone well. I have been sparring with a fighters such as Anthony Burgin, Tevin Фермер, Thomas LaManna and Arturo Padilla,” сказав Янг.
In Flores, he is facing a guy who has faced a litany of prospects and contenders and is by far the most experienced foe that Young has faced.

This will be Young’s 7th fight on the boardwalk and fourth in a row, yet unlike some fighters who do not like fighting at home due to outside demands for tickets, Young embraces the opportunity to perform in front of familiar faces.
“It is always a big deal to fight in front of the home crowd. I feed off of them and it urges me on to put on a great performance. Even though this is my first headliner, I always feel like I am the headliner no matter where I fight, but especially here.”
Young knows that a few good wins can put him in position to get in line for a great opportunity, but he is not looking past Flores.
