Juni 3, 2011, González alishinda WBO Latino Nyepesi na pande zote za majeruhi 6 juu ya Gerardo Cuevas.

González alifanya ulinzi tano mafanikio mbele changamoto WBO dunia Nyepesi bingwa Ricky Burns Mei 11, 2013.

González kuhodhi kwamba bout na pia akielekea kuwa bingwa wa dunia kabla ya kuwajeruhi mkono wake na kustaafu kutoka bout baada ya duru 10.

González rebounded kwa re-kushinda WBO Latino Nyepesi na watetezi kwa pande zote za majeruhi 5 juu ya Marvin Quintero (26-5).

González itakuwa kuangalia kurudi baada miwili na nusu mwaka layoff.
