NEF ANNOUNCES BIGGEST FIGHT CARD IT HAS EVER BROUGHT TO BANGOR

Μπανγκόρ, Μέιν (Αύγουστος 24, 2018) - Νέα Αγγλία Αγώνες (NEF) θα πραγματοποιήσει την επόμενη εκδήλωση μικτής πολεμικής τέχνης, “NEF 35: Κακή σεζόν,” τον Σεπτέμβριο 8 στο Cross Insurance Center στο Μπανγκόρ. The event will mark the fourth time since 2013 that NEF has visited the Queen City. Νωρίτερα σήμερα, the fight promotion announced the full fight card planned for the evening.

The exciting main event will feature two popular Bangor-area athletes doing battle as Jon Λέμκε (7-8) πληροί Aaron “Αμείλικτος” Lacey (5-2) σε έναν ελαφρύ διαγωνισμό. Sanders is coming off a huge submission win earlier this summer in Portland, Μέιν. In another highly-anticipated professional fight, Ο Caleb Hall (1-0) of the Choi Institute in Portland will face another Young’s MMA team member in the form of CJ Ewer (3-1). After a successful amateur career that saw him capture the NEF Amateur Featherweight Title, Hall impressed with a first-round submission of veteran John Ortolani (8-12) earlier this year in his pro debut. Κανάτα, a member of the United States Air Force security forces, closed out “NEF 30” last August in Bangor winning the promotion’s pro middleweight strap over Mike Hansen (5-9).

The amateur portion of the fight card will be headlined by a title fight as Ελαφρό κτύπημα “PK” Kelly (4-0) puts both his lightweight belt and undefeated record on the line against the challenge of Ed Forlenza (2-2). Speaking of wrestling coaches, “NEF 35” will also feature the amateur debut of Shawn Costigan (0-0). Costigan is a member of the Bucksport High School wrestling coaching staff. He will represent Young’s MMA in his cage debut when he takes on the fellow-debuting David Hills (0-0).

Also on the amateur card will be the brother of CJ Ewer, Roger Ewer (1-0). A pharmacist by day, Roger made his amateur debut last year at “NEF 30” in Bangor with a second round technical knockout of Dustin Freeman (0-1). Στο “NEF 35,” he will take on Jason Hanley (0-0) of Orchard Park Martial Arts in western New York state.

Hyannis, Μασαχουσέτη (Μάιος 15, 2016) - Νέα Αγγλία Αγώνες (NEF), Νούμερο ένα περιφερειακή προώθηση αγώνα της Αμερικής, held its most recent event, “NEF 23: CAGE THE CAPE” on Saturday night at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) in Hyannis, Μασαχουσέτη. The HYCC was at capacity for the first sanctioned mixed-martial-arts (ΜΜΑ) show ever held on Cape Cod. The venue opened the upstairs walking track to give standing-room-only fans more elbow room. The crowd was electric all night for the eight-fight card presented by NEF.

 

Team Juniko, based out of Hyannis and Hanover, Μασαχουσέτη, was a perfect 5-0 on the night. Fabian Miranda (3-0), Thomas Lee Davis, Jr. (2-0), Ed Forlenza (1-0), και Kylie O’Hearn (1-0) all picked up wins for the team on the amateur portion of the card.

 

It was O’Hearn’s bout with Angela Young (1-2) of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Maine that will be remembered for years to come by all in attendance. The two women battled back and forth for three grueling rounds before O’Hearn was declared the winner by unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. The fight will be a serious contender for “Καταπολέμηση της Χρονιάς” in the northeast by the time 2016 comes to an end.

 

Team Juniko member Brendan Battles (1-0) was victorious in the main event of the evening via technical knockout over Mike Hansen (4-4). The bout was the pro debut for the native of Eastham, Massachusetts and standout wrestler from Nauset Regional High School. Battles rebounded from an early flurry by Hansen to get the referee stoppage at 1:46 του πρώτου γύρου.
