RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

30 mai, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., Să Get It On Promoții, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 KO) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 KO) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Carson City ușor Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”


Valdez-Sanchez and the 10-round co-feature will be televised live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT. Undercard bouts will stream live on ESPN+, the leading multi-sport streaming service, începând de la 6:30 p.m. ȘI / 3:30 p.m. PT.

30 aprilie, RENO — Cardul este stabilit pentru evenimentul de box de clasă mondială din 4 mai, prezentat de Let’s Get It On Promotions și Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa la Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Atracția de seară se potrivește cu Oscarul „El Chapito” Vasquez, clasat mondial (15-1) împotriva lui Ricardo „El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) într-o rundă de opt, luptă cu super-muște. O carte secundară spectaculoasă completează evenimentul principal.

 

 

 

Mașină de perspectivă și knockout neînvinsă, Frank „Freedom Fighter” Sanchez (5-0, 5 KO), a fost adăugat la cardul din 4 mai. Sanchez s-a născut și a crescut în Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. În țara sa natală, a concurat în peste două sute de meciuri de box ca un amator. A fugit din Cuba 2016 și a făcut drum spre Las Vegas, unde a semnat un acord managerial cu arbitrul pensionar al Hall of Fame, Richard Steele. Sanchez se va lupta cu veteranul Lamont Capers (9-11) într-o bătălie de șase runde.

 

 

 

Carson City ușor Diego Elizondo (2-0) se va lupta cu Cantonul Miller foarte dur (3-1) într-un meci în patru runde.

 

 

 

Într-o luptă cu șase runde cruiserweight, S.U.A.. Veteranul armatei Blake „Bestia” McKernan (7-0, 5 KO) din Sacramento se va confrunta cu mexicanul Daniel Arambula (4-2).

 

 

 

Într-un clasic mexican vs.. Lupta din Puerto Rico, Santos "Titos" Vasquez (5-2-1), care este fratele mai mic al lui Oscar și un supleant pentru 2012 S.U.A.. Echipa olimpică de box, se va lupta cu Bryan Aquino din Puerto Rico (11-2) într-o luptă cu șase runde junior-flyweight.

 

 

 

Ricardo „Visătorul” Lucio-Galvan (2-0, 2 KO) este programat să lupte într-un meci de patru runde cu greutate pană.

“CHAPITO” VASQUEZ WINS IN FALLON RURAL RUMBLE 2017

AUGUST 14th, RENO — The Fallon Rural Rumble once again delivered a night of sensational world-class professional boxing in it’s tenth installment sâmbăta noapte.

 

In his first ten-round fight, Reno native and world-ranked flyweight Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez scored an impressive unanimous decision win over Javier Gallo in the evening’s main event. Vasquez improves to 14-1.

 

In the co-main, Stockton, CA sensation Gabriel Flores Jr. scored a shutout unanimous decision win over the tough Jorge Padron of Mexico. Flores improves to 3-0 (2 KO).

 

Carson City’s Diego Elizondo also scored a shutout UD victory over Chandler Clements in his pro debut.

 

Sacramento’s Pedro Moreno improves to 7-0 (5 KO) with an impressive second-round TKO victory over Curtis Morton.

 

În meciul de deschidere, Stockton CA’s Quilisto “Kilo the Kid” Madera with a sensational second-round, one-shot KO win over Austin Marcum. Madera improves to 7-0 (4 KO).

VASQUEZ AND FLORES CO-HEADLINE TENTH ANNUAL FALLON “RURAL RUMBLE” 8/12

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. The 12 august fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) de Stockton, CA.

 

Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez, who was recently ranked #15 flyweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization, is coming off of a dominant unanimous decision victory over Armando Vasquez in June. He looks to further his world title campaign against veteran Javier Gallo (24-13-1) who is coming off of an impressive upset split decision victory over Jose Salgado in April. Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

 

Neînvinsă, excitant, and youngest-ever signed Top Rank Inc. boxer Gabriel Flores makes his return to Northern Nevada at this year’s Rural Rumble. In his professional debut on May 5th, Flores delighted the Reno fight fans by impressively knocking out Devon Jones. On June 30th, he scored his second consecutive KO over Jahaziel Vasquez in Texas. .

 

Four other bouts are scheduled for 12 august in Fallon. Carson City’s own Diego Elizondo will be making his anticipated professional debut in a four-round lightweight fight. After impressing the boxing fans in Fallon last year, undefeated Northern California favorite Pedro Moreno (6-0) returns to the 2017 Rural Rumble in a lightweight bout. Reno Jr.-flyweight, Santos Vasquez, looks to continue his third win in a row in a six-round bout. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, prea, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.
