It’s in amazing fight against an amazing young champion, it’s so exciting to show everyone who I am, how much experience I have and how good I feel.

"Dé Sathairn, expect fireworks. Women’s boxing is back to stay, I was one of the pioneers and I’m here to prove that I still have it and pay homage to all the women that came before me.

“We busted out asses for so long to finally be on these huge cards and to be getting paid more than we used to. When I was fighting, our purses weren’t even enough to pay our rent, now we have women building empires off it – it’s amazing to be here.

“To clear things up about the banter that went on between us, it was taken out of context by somebody chasing clout. I heard what I heard, at the end of the day, the fight is happening. I’m happy I had that extra time to train because she’s a badass, I’m here to prove that I’m a little bit more of a badass.”

This fight means so much to both Jason and Shane, it’s such an important fight, it’s a very even fight and a fight nobody wants to miss. They both know what a win on Saturday night is going to do for their career.

“I know both fighters very well, I’ve known Shane since he was a boy working with his father. I’ve known Jason since his pro debut working his whole career with Golden Boy – I’ve become very attached to both. They’re both very similar outside the ring, they’re gentlemen. There hasn’t been once bad thing said between them, but once that bell rings they’re not friends. Muinín dom, they’re both coming to knock each other out. May the best man win.”

“This is my time now to shine. Las Vegas, the bright lights and big city, that’s what I’m here for. To deal with this guy here, tá sé go léir gnó, I’m fighting on Saturday night for me. I’m going to deal with him in good fashion and show the US public who I am. Azinga Fuzile knows who I am, he’ll definitely know my name Saturday.

“Azinga is a good fighter, it’s going to make for good fight but I’m 100% confident I’m going to do a job on this guy. He’s a good, slick fighter but I’ve definitely got all the tools in my arsenal to deal with him in good fashion on Saturday night.

“I’ve put it all in at camp, I’ve done all that I’ve needed to do, it’s all on Saturday night now. The talking means nothing, I’ve prepared, I’m mentally and physically there, I’m ready to put on a good show on Saturday night and excite the fans.”

Azinga Fuzile (14-1 8 Kos) – faces Martin J. Ward in a final eliminator for the IBF World Super-Featherweight title

“I’m ready for the fight, I’ve been preparing for three months for the fight. Tá mé réidh, I can’t wait for Saturday to beat Martin. Geallaim duit, Martin, Tá mé ag dul a bhuachan. I signed the contract to fight and that’s what I’m going to do on fight night.

“I’m too good for Martin. I’ve seen his videos, watched him fight, then I said I can fight him in a way that I can beat him easily. Gcéad dul síos, I didn’t know about him, when I was checking the ratings looking at the guys on top. I found out who he was when they said I must fight Martin Ward. He will know me better, who Azinga is and what he’s capable of.

“I won’t say how I’m going to beat him; you’re all going to see it on Saturday. My fight with Rakhimov, what happened, happened, I had to move on. Now I’m facing this guy, I need to take him out of my way. I’m ready to show the people of Las Vegas beautiful boxing.”

Khalil Coe – makes professional debut

“I’m looking forward to the journey with Matchroom, I already put on a show and I’m grateful to be on this card for my pro debut. The talent that’s going behind me, I want to stand out just as well as they do.

“This is what I’ve been waiting on my whole career, I never thought I would be signed with Matchroom so that’s a big plus. I’m going take advantage and do what I’ve got to do and put it on for the fans.

“There’s going to be a big difference. Some people just think I only have a right hand, I’m only a puncher, but I have footwork, elusiveness, and power. You never know what I’m going to bring to the fight.”

Reshat Mati (9-0 7 Kos) – fights Ryan Pino in his tenth pro fight.

“I’m looking to be active as much as possible. I’m looking for big fights, to get my name out there, you told me to go down to 140lbs, we ventured slowly, worked our way down and make a big impact.

“I’ve learned just to stay calm. In the amateurs it’s three rounds, it’s quick. The main thing is to stay loose, listen to your coaches and stay active as much as possible. It’s better to stay active because the times you have off tests you to how you come back to those adversities. First I’ve got to deal with this guy Saturday and then work our way to the next fight.”

Ramla Ali (2-0) – faces Mikayla Nebel in her third pro fight

“I can’t believe I’ve been given the opportunity to fight in the boxing capital of the world, Vegas, so early on in my career. I can only feel grateful, humbled, and honored to be part of such an amazing card. I love Jorge Linares, I grew up watching him, I think he’s amazing and him versus Haney is going to be electric.

“I think there was a little twitter war going on this morning, someone took what I said out of context. What I meant was you’ve got these amazing fighters in the world, Lomachenko, Shields, Katie Taylor, who have done so much in the amateurs, won everything there is to possibly win, if they wanted to fight for a World title in their first fight, they’d be deserved of it. I want to feel deserved of a World title and to feel like a World champion when I feel ready. I don’t want to be pushed into it when I don’t feel ready.

“I’m really excited for when those opportunities will arise, I never shy away from a challenge and if fighting those girls means that it’s the next step to a world title then so be it.”

LAS VEGAS, NV (Deireadh Fómhair 30, 2020) – Undefeated WBC lightweight world champion Devin “An aisling” Haney (24-0, 15 Kos), will return to the ring on November 7, 2020, against former 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and two-time world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-3, 18 Kos).

Haney vs. Gamboa is a 12-round world title fight taking place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be the main event on a highly anticipated Matchroom USA card in association with Promotions Devin Haney, broadcast on DAZN.

Here is what Devin Haney, the WBC Lightweight Champion, had to say ahead of his fight with Gamboa as he wraps up his final day of training camp in Las Vegas.

On his recent training camp in Las Vegas.

“I stay in the gym, I basically live in the gym, so once camp begins, I put my all into training. I do not want to be outworked, and I am driven by those around me. I am extremely focused right now. I’m going to be the face of boxing.

On returning after his shoulder injury.

“No athlete wants to ever be injured. I took the time I needed to, listened to the doctors, and let my body rest. One good thing from the social distancing and stay-at-home orders was it occurred during the time I was recovering so I was able to be fully rested once the gyms reopened. I am now 100% and better than ever, you will see on fight night.”

On his matchup with Yuriorkis Gamboa.

“Gamboa has done a lot in the sport, and the fact that he gave a lot of fighters tough fights, says a lot about him. I want to prove a point in this bout that a lot of people are not mentioning my name amongst the best in the world, and I am looking to change that by putting forth a performance against Gamboa that no one has ever seen before. I respect Gamboa as a fighter, but in the ring, I will have no respect for him at all. In the ring he is my enemy.

On what a spectacular win means for your career.

“Obviously, a win gives me my 2nd world title defense which is very important to me. Title defenses shows a lot about what kind of fighter you really are. I don’t care how you won it or who you won it fromcan you defend the world title against all challengers? That’s what I represent as a throwback champion. You can have a strategy to get there but when you become a champion you become a target. Tank Davis, Teofimo Lopez and Ryan Garcia are all great potential opponents for me. I’d rather fight sooner than later but they have to feel the same way about me. I have a goal to be the first billionaire boxer, and to do that I have to put forth billion-dollar performances. That’s exactly what I’m going to do on November 7th in Miami.”

HANEY-GAMBOA AND JACOBS-ROSADO HEADING TO SEMINOLE HARD ROCK HOTEL & Casino

WBC Lightweight champion defends on Nov. 7 – Super-Middleweight grudge match on Nov. 27

Devin Haney will defend his WBC World Lightweight title against Yuriorkis Gamboa on Saturday, Samhain. 7 and Daniel Jacobs will clash with Gabriel Rosado on Friday, Samhain. 27, both behind closed doors and subject to strict COVID-19 protocols at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida, beo ar DAZN.

Haney (24-0, 15 Kos) is back in action for the first time since November 2019 after injuring his right shoulder in seeing off Alfredo Santiago in the first defense of his belt in LA. The 21-year-old sensation had successful surgery on the injury and is now ready to resume his quest to dominate a 135-lbs. scene that’s littered with big names.

First on his hit list is Gamboa (30-3, 18 Kos), the former unified World Featherweight king and Cuban hero, following his Olympic gold medal. Gamboa is aiming to become a two-weight World ruler at the third attempt having challenged Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis for their titles, but Haney is confident he will reignite his reign in style.

“Yuriokis Gamboa is a dangerous and experienced fighter,” said Haney. “He’s a former unified world champion, and he has been in the ring with some of the best. He hurt Terence Crawford with a big shot, so his power is not to be ignored. He beat Orlando Salido who beat Vasiliy Lomachenko. Less than a year ago he took Gervonta Davis into the 12th round, something no one has ever been able to do. Gamboa is a true warrior and I’m not taking him lightly. I’ve called out all the top names, and I finally got someone who will challenge me for my title. I intend on making a statement in this fight. My hunger is on another level. It’s time to show the world who the best fighter in boxing is and that’s me!"

“I’m extremely thankful to God for allowing this fight to happen and for the miracle of healing my Achilles,” said Gamboa. “I’ve been dreaming and wishing of fighting for the WBC Green Belt ever since I was an amateur in Cuba. I’m ready and determined to win this title for my fans and to prove those who wrote me off as a washed up fighter wrong. I came up short against Davis because of my Achilles in the second round, but I fought the rest of the fight on one foot, hurting him in the middle rounds. You are going to see a healthy Gamboa fight with both of my legs, fists and warrior heart of mine. With God’s blessings I will come out victorious Nov. 7."

Jacobs and Rosado have built up a rivalry over the last year and now that comes to a head three weeks after Haney vs. Gamboa.

Jacobs (36-3, 30 Kos) made the first steps on his target of becoming a two-weight World champion with victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona in December. That was the “Miracle Man’s” first foray into the 168-lbs. scene after the two-time World Middleweight king moved up from 160 lb.. after his unification clash with Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas in May 2019.

Rosado (25-12-1, 14 Kos) appeared on the undercard in Phoenix and clashed with Jacobs ahead of the weigh-in. The Philly ace recorded a ten round points win that night to return to winning ways following his thrilling back-and-forth battle with Maciej Sulecki on home turf in March 2019, and the 34-year-old will be out to fire himself into contention for the World title clash that Jacobs seeks.

“Gabe talked his way into this fight and now it’s time to see if he can back it up,” said Jacobs. “He’s got a big mouth and he’s been bringing up my name constantly for over a year – but on Nov. 27 the talking stops and I can’t wait to shut him up. My aim is to become a two-weight division World champion in 2021 and that starts with a big win in Florida. Ina dhiaidh sin, I’m ready to step up and fight one of the World champions at 168 punt. "

“I’m really excited for the fight,” said Rosado. “There’s been a lot of back and forth between me and Jacobs, and for the fight to finally happen, I’m more than ready. I’ve started training camp with Freddie Roach in LA at Wild Card Boxing, and I’m just looking to put on one hell of a show for the fans. I’m definitely going to bring the fight to Danny and it’s going to be great.”

Both events have stacked undercards in support of the main event. There’s a Heavyweight flavor to the Haney card with Croatian talent Filip Hrgovic (11-0, 9 Kos) facing American Rydell Booker (26-3, 13 Kos) and Chinese star Zhilei Zhang (21-0, 18 Kos) meeting another American in Devin Vargas (22-6, 9 Kos). Three young stars continue their pro journeys on the bill as Reshat Mati (7-0, 5 Kos), Raymond Ford (6-0, 2 Kos) and Arthur Biyarslanov (6-0, 5 Kos) are in action on the show – and Matchroom are delighted to announce the signing of French star Souleymane Cissokho (11-0 7 Kos) to a multi-fight deal and he’ll box on the bill, and more details on the deal for the Anthony Joshua managed Super-Welterweight will come on Monday.

Marc Castro will make his pro debut on the undercard of Jacobs vs. Rosado. The Fresno talent was slated to make his bow in the paid ranks in Tulsa, Oklahoma in August, but he tested positive for COVID-19. Now the amateur sensation finally laces them up and is joined on the undercard by fellow amateur rulers in Olympic gold medalist Daniyar Yeleussinov (9-0, 5 Kos), three-time World amateur champion Magomedrasul Majidov (2-0, 2 Kos), and young talents Nikita Ababiy (9-0, 6 Kos) and Alexis Espino (6-0, 4 Kos).

“I can’t wait for our U.S. return in Florida – two stacked cards with plenty riding on them,"A dúirt an tionscnóir Eddie Hearn. “The Lightweight division is on fire and there’s no better time for Devin to return to action and make a big statement at the Hard Rock. Although Devin may well be the next big thing, when you look at his CV, Yuriorkis is by far his toughest test to date. A few weeks later, the bad blood between Daniel and Gabe will come to a head as they clash, and the winner of that fight will find themselves in a great position for a World title shot at 168 lb.. in 2021.”

“There’s so many interesting plotlines on both undercards. The Heavyweights are in the spotlight on Nov. 7, with Filip and Zhilei, two World-class fighters that are looking to stake their claims for massive fights next year, as will Magomedrasul who fights on Nov. 27."

“Marc was devastated that his debut was postponed but the Fresno sensation has re-focused and it’s not a bad thing to have to learn to cope with a setback like that – he’s been working so hard in training, and I think we’re going to see a spectacular debut.”

“We’re lining up a big test for Daniyar, and so many of the young stars on the cards are beginning to get to the stages in their career where they move to the next level so I am expecting two exciting nights of action in the Sunshine State.”

Hard Rock Live and Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida have a rich history of hosting world-class boxing in addition to globally recognized entertainment acts like Jerry Seinfeld, Alicia Keys and Aerosmith. The venue is excited to play host to two huge nights of action in November.

DEVINTHE DREAMHANEY HAS VISIONS OF BRINGING BOXING BACK TO ITS GLORY DAYS

Photo by Ed Mulholland PhotographerMatchroom Boxing USA

LAS VEGAS, NV (Deireadh Fómhair 10, 2019)Undefeated WBC interim champion, Devin “An aisling” Haney (23-0, 15 Kos), is calling out all promoters to join him and his co-promoter, Eddie Hearn de Matchroom Dornálaíocht, in their quest to bring boxing back to its glory days, where the best always fought the best.

After his stunning victory over Zaur Abdullayev (11-1, 7 Kos), where he fractured his orbital bone with a crushing overhand right, Haney became the mandatory challenger to fight pound for pound king Vasyl Lomachenko (14-1, 10 Kos), who holds the WBC lightweight title. Haney feels it’s important for boxing to flourish, if all elite fighters in their respective divisions fight one another.

A lot of writers are saying I’m not ready to face Lomachenko, that’s ridiculous,” said the twenty-year old phenom Haney. “All the guys he beat, I would beat also. Let’s not forget Lomachenko lost to a man who has fourteen loses, so to say I’m not on his level is crazy talk. Loma fought for a world title in his second professional fight. Bhí sé 1-0, Tá mé 23-0. Who wouldn’t want to watch me and Loma fight? The answer is everyone would want to watch that fight and that’s a fact. I hate to say it, but it must be said, It’s embarrassing for Lomachenko if he keeps ducking this twenty year old, but in reality, there is no one that I can’t beat at 135 punt!”

Every promoter in boxing should put aside their egos and make the big fights,” continued Haney. “I know the fans will appreciate the best fighting the best and they deserve to see these big fights. Ceart anois, boxing is so fragmented. I’m a fan of the sport and it would be a travesty if some of these big fights don’t get made. Arum said I signed with the wrong company, but he’s not making the big fights the people want to see. He’s serving the interest of his company and I knew that mentality could hold me back from becoming one of the greats in this sport, hence me signing with Matchroom. There are many more sensational matchups that are long overdue. It’s good business, and boxing will thrive, if the best are fighting the best.

While networks and sanctioning bodies play key factors in making big fights, things can always get complicated. Haney feels confident that the sport will grow immensely, if his vision comes to fruition.

Everyone would benefit if the big fights are made,” concluded Haney, who is the CEO of his own promotional company, Promotions Devin Haney. “I became a promoter early in my career because I want to bring the sport of boxing together. A formula needs to be made where all parties can be compensated, and the fans get to see great fights. Eddie Hearn and Matchroom boxing whom I co-promote with, put their fighters in tough, but they get them really paid. Now that’s something you can respect. Boxing needs to unite, and the mega fights should be made immediately.

WBA agus IBF Domhanda Super-bantamweight curadh Daniel Rómhánach mar thoradh ar undercard Cruachta i bout príomhfheidhmeannach-tacaíochta béal-watering mar a thógann sé ar marfach WBA éigeantach iomaitheoir Murodjon Akhmadaliev. cosaint cúigiú Rómhánach ar a choróin WBA pits air in aghaidh contúirteacha Akhmadaliev tallann Úisbéicis (6-0 5 Kos) – Tá an amaitéarach mór maisithe fhéach sé fearsome ó thaobh deireadh a cúig a sé turais pro go dtí seo taobh istigh an t-achar, leis an 25 bliain d'aois an bua seo caite ag teacht ar an mbille LA céanna le deannach-suas Rómhánach le Doheny. roman vs. Akhmadaliev é a thabhairt duit i gcomhar le Thompson Dornálaíochta agus Domhanda na Dornálaíochta.

“Duine ar bith go bhfuil a fhios dom dtuigeann go bhfuil mé Trodaire fíor,” dúirt Rómhánach. “Feicfidh mé ag troid le duine ar bith a chuir siad romham. Is Akhmadaliev ocras, ach mar sin tá mé. Ní raibh sé gur fada ó shin [2017] nuair dúshlán mé le haghaidh an teideal WBA mar sin ní táimid ag dul a thabhairt suas. Tá mé anseo chun troid agus a chosaint ar an crios WBA arís. Tá mé dhá criosanna [WBA agus IBF], ach ba mhaith liom níos mó. Is é mo sprioc a fháil gach ceann acu amhlaidh mé aon mheán mé neamhaird Akhmadaliev. Tá sé sin pedigree amaitéarach, Is féidir le Punch le cumhacht agus is maith teacht chun tosaigh. An dara underestimate tú duine éigin, sin nuair a tharlaíonn rudaí dona. Beidh mé réidh le haghaidh cibé thugann an paisinéir in.

“Mar curadh aontaithe, Tuigim go bhfuil mé sprioc ar mo chúl. Sin an fáth mé sa seomra aclaíochta, ag fanacht géar mar is féidir liom i gcónaí. Níl aon am a scíth a ligean agus féachaint siar ar an méid atá déanta agam toisc nach bhfuil mo chuid oibre críochnaithe.”

“Is Danny i measc an chuid is mó tiomanta agus smachtaithe Seaimpíní Domhanda amach ann,” Dúirt Ken Thompson, uachtarán na Thompson Dornálaíochta Promotions. “aoibhinn sé dúshláin agus ag an bpointe seo in a ghairm bheatha, mian sé ach an agus troideanna is mó toughest. Is Akhmadaliev a chéile comhraic óg agus contúirteacha, ach tá na huirlisí Danny leanúint na fhlaitheas mar an tallann is fearr sa roinn. Táimid muiníneach go mbainfidh sé a sheachadadh feidhmíocht den scoth eile agus a choinneáil a theideal WBA don chúigiú huair muid.”

“Tá mé an-sásta gur ghlac Daniel Rómhánach an troid,” Said Akhmadaliev. “Tá a fhios agam go bhfuil muid ag an dá laochra agus beidh sé seo a bheith ina cogadh fíor! Ná caill an troid!”

Níl níos mó beart teideal Domhanda ar an mbille mar dúshláin taifead a bhriseadh seacht-mheáchan an Domhain curadh Amanda Serrano WBO Domhanda featherweight curadh Heather Hardy i affair uile-Brooklyn, a thabhairt duit ag DiBella Siamsaíocht i gcomhar le Matchroom Dornálaíochta USA.

Serrano (36-1-1 27 Kos) conquered sí rang meáchan seachtú in Amharclann Hulu i dteideal i mí Eanáir nuair a scrios an Rican Puerto Eva Voraberger taobh istigh den oscailt bhabhta a éileamh ar an folamh teideal WBO Super-flyweight.

Bhí Serrano an strap WBO featherweight in 2016 sula fágáil sé ansin a deirfiúr Cindy phioc sé suas níos déanaí an bhliain. Hardy (22-0 4 Kos) Bhí eile ar aon dul a bhuaigh an teideal folamh i mí Dheireadh Fómhair i rematch i gcoinne Shelley Vincent in Amharclann Hulu. Hardy a chur dornálaíochta ar a shealbhú chun filleadh ar MMA i mí an Mheithimh le turas ag Bellator 222 ag Madison Square Garden, ach tuairisceáin a dornálaíocht dul ceann-le-ceann lena Brooklynite eile.

“Fuair muid amach i mí Feabhra go mar Super-curadh D'fhéadfadh Amanda ghlaoch amach aon curadh in aon roinn meáchain agus go mbeadh sí a bheith ar an gcosaint seo chugainn — agus roghnaigh sí liom. Níor éirigh mé seo i bhfad sa chluiche dornálaíochta a Níl a fhios agam conas a oibríonn sé, tá siad ag hyping suas troid mór idir a agus Katie Taylor agus is é seo an dara ceann de déileáil go trí troid Amanda ar.

“Beidh sé mo chéad uair iomaíocht mar underdog fiú mar an curadh domhanda atá ann faoi láthair ach tá mé ar bís mar ifreann. Fhios ag gach duine Tá mé na liathróidí chun é. D'fhás mé suas le mamma diana, muinín dom – scares aon duine dom.”

“Tá mé an-excited a bheith ar ais sa fáinne agus excited a bheith ag troid Heather Hardy,” Said Serrano. “Is Heather 22-0 ar chúis, fhaigheann sí i gcónaí ar bhealach a bhuachan. Táimid tar éis sparred san am atá caite agus ní mé go raibh an lá éasca léi.

“Mar sin, go leor de na Seaimpíní eile folamh a vehicle a sheachaint ag troid dom ach tá Heather curadh domhanda fíor nach mbeidh a thabhairt suas a crios.

“Tá a fhios againn gach dea eile agus tá mé onóir dul i ngleic léi as a cuid teidil Domhanda. Tá sé rud ar bith pearsanta, ach gnó ar feadh dhá chailíní ón Brooklyn sa fáinne.”

“Ar an Aoine, Meán Fómhair 13, domhain curadh seacht-roinn Amanda 'The Real Deal’ Beidh Serrano iarracht a wrest an teideal WBO featherweight ó curadh undefeated Heather 'An Teas’ Hardy i cad geallúintí a bheith ina matchup pléascach,” Dúirt Lou DiBella, Uachtarán na DiBella Siamsaíocht. “Ní tá Hardy ná Serrano riamh i troid droch, dá bhfuil Brooklynites boinn lucht leanúna paiseanta agus ambasadóirí iontacha do na mban dornálaíochta. Is é seo an troid mór-bua don dá dhornálaithe agus beidh steal an seó.”

Tá an tírdhreach trom ceann te agus níl go maith 50-50 Clash ar an gcárta mar Michael Hunter dúshláin Sergey Kuzmin don teideal WBA Intercontinental. Hunter (17-1 12 Kos) Tá an strap idirnáisiúnta leis an WBA ag KO'd Alexander Ustinov i Monte Carlo i mí na Samhna agus a chosaint go bhfuil an dara babhta KO de Fabio Maldonado i Maryland Bealtaine. An 31 Tá bliain d'aois ag ardú go tapa i rátálacha agus is féidir a ghlacadh de léim ollmhór i dtreo gníomhaíochta teideal World le bua ach os dúshlán géarchor i bhfoirm Kuzmin (15-0 11 Kos).

An Rúisis unbeaten chuireann an strap bhain sé ag Wembley Staidiam i Londain i mí Mheán Fómhair in aghaidh David Price agus an chéad chonaic amach LaRon Mitchell agus ansin Joey Dawejko in cosaintí chuig SAM rathúil. Le Kuzmin rangaithe #5 agus Hunter #8 leis an WBA, Beidh an bua i Nua-Eabhrac a bheith knocking ar an doras le haghaidh lámhaigh teideal, ardú an Geallta sa pick'em mheaitseáil-suas, i gcomhar le World of Dornálaíochta.

“Tá mé ar bís a bheith ag troid Sergey,” dúirt Hunter. “Tá a fhios agam nach bhfuil sé seo ag dul a bheith ina troid éasca, ach tá mé cinnte suas don dúshlán agus ba mhaith liom do dhaoine go bhfuil mé an chuid is fearr sa roinn a thaispeáint.”

“Táim ag obair go dian le haghaidh an deis,” Said Kuzmin. “Tá mé anseo a bhuaigh an troid agus dul i ndiaidh an teidil Domhanda. Ní chuireann sé ábhar a thabhairt dom an bhfuil an troid i Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá nó sa Rúis, Táim an-dóchasach i mo bua. Tá a fhios agam mo chéile comhraic go han-mhaith, tá sé ina Boxer maith, ach amháin tá sé ar cheann de dúinn ag dul a bheith victorious.”

“Is é seo an troid idir dhá deich hionchais is fearr, dá teidil réigiúnacha a shealbhú,” Dúirt Vadim Kornilov de World of Dornálaíochta. “Beidh an troid a bheith súil go dtosnódh ina Eliminator don Domhan craobhchomórtais éigeantach.”

“Is é seo an seó iontach agus seans mór don Devin a ghlacadh NYC ag stoirm,” Dúirt tionscnóir Eddie Hearn. “Is Abdullaev Trodaire undefeated contúirteach ach tá Devin réidh le haghaidh gach duine dá dtagann agus ba mhaith leis a bhuaigh an troid agus ansin dul díreach isteach sa Lomachenko vs. Campbell buaiteoir. Tá sé ar mire a chreidiúint go bhfuil sé díreach 20 bliain d'aois – Sílim go bhfuil sé cóir a rá go bhfuil sé an Trodaire óg is spreagúla sa domhan ceart anois.

“roman vs. Is Akhmadaliev an cogadh iomlán, Danny dhiúltaigh a fhágáil ar an crios agus cosúil le curadh fíor a aghaidh a thabhairt ar fearless óg, crua ag bualadh iomaitheoir éigeantach atá ag glacadh léim ollmhór tar éis ach sé troideanna.

“Tá an rannóg trom dearg te agus Hunter v Kuzmin b'fhéidir ar cheann de na chluiche ups na bliana – nach blink ar an gceann seo! D'fhéadfadh muid a bheith líonta dócha an t-ionad le Serrano vs. Hardy ina n-aonar, tá sé ina troid iontach don NYC leis an buaiteoir socraithe le haghaidh shainmhíniú Katie Taylor troid seo chugainn. Ná caill an seó!”

“Táimid ag súil a tús amach ar ár gnóthach titim líne-suas leis an tuairisceán ionchas gorm-sliseanna Devin Haney ar DAZN,” Dúirt Joseph Markowski, DAZN EVP, Meiriceá Thuaidh. “Matchroom Tá curtha le chéile cárta Céatadáin do lucht leanúna troid Nua-Eabhrac agus iad siúd ag faire ar fud an domhain ar DAZN. Táimid ag ullmhú a dhúnadh amach ár gcéad bhliain i dornálaíocht le Bang agus a thosaíonn sé ar fad Meán Fómhair 13 in Amharclann Hulu ag Madison Square Garden.”

Beidh fógra maidir le praghsanna ticéad agus dátaí ar-díol a dhéanamh níos déanaí an tseachtain.

SHREVEPORT – January 12, 2019 – Devin Haney passed the biggest test of his young career Friday night onShoBox: An Giniúint Nua, kicking off the 2019 boxing year with a dazzling performance and unanimous decision victory over fellow undefeated former South African champion Xolisani Ndongeni live on SHOWTIME from StageWorks of Louisiana.

Haney (21-0, 13 Kos) scored a second-round knockdown and wore Ndongeni (25-1, 13 Kos) down with punishing body shots in the latter part of the fight in winning easily on all three judges’ scorecards, 100-89 faoi dhó, and 99-90.See the second-round knockdownANSEO.

Haney told SHOWTIME’s Steve Farhood in the ring after the fight he only wants to be considered a contender from here on out. “I want those top guys,"A dúirt sé. “Now they really can’t deny me. I’ve been saying this for a long time but now, I’m a contender.”See the post-fight interviewANSEO

The knockdown came at 1:30 of the second round as a Haney right hand landed flush knocking the unbalanced Ndongeni to the canvas. But it was Haney’s body shots that wore out the stubborn Ndongeni, who was fighting in the United States for just the second time. Haney badly wanted to end the fight with a knockout, even telling his father Bill Haney between rounds, “I’m going to knock him out!"

“He’s a great fighter,” said Haney, who with the victory takes home the WBO Intercontinental and WBC International belts. “You don’t make it to 25-0 without being anybody. I knew it was going to be tough opponent from the very beginning. He’s a really good fighter and I didn’t choose him. That was the opponent that came up and you know me, I don’t turn down anybody. I fight whoever comes in front of me.”

Farhood said 2019 could be the year Haney fights for a world title. “I’m impressed because he showed a side of himself that we hadn’t seen before,” the International Boxing Hall of Famer Farhood said. “For a young fighter, although he’s very skilled, you want to see him handle all kinds of situations. He went to the body effectively and if the fight goes 30 seconds longer he gets the stoppage. Is a world title fight in 2019 a possibility? Certainly. Just because he’s 20 doesn’t mean he’s not good enough. It’s clear there’s no one that’s going to out-box him.”

Farhood finally gave Ndongeni a round for the first time in the seventh as he used some effective body work to control the round, although never visibly hurting Haney or putting him in too much danger.

As the fight went deeper and deeper, Haney just kept getting stronger. In the final two roundshe led 69-28 on overall landed punches (16-6 jabs and 53-22 cumhacht). In the final minute of the final round, Haney out-landed Ndongeni 23-3 in total connects.

“I’m getting stronger with each fight and I feel my man strength emerging,” Haney said. “Ndongeni is a very durable fighter. I attribute his big heart for keeping him in the fight. I knew I was the superior fighter. I showed everyone I can fight coming forward, Is féidir liom a bhosca, I can bang, I do it all. Tá mé réidh…no one is stopping me.”

In a battle of undefeated Rubens, former decorated amateur Ruben Villa (15-0, 5 Kos) handed Colombian Ruben Cervera (10-1, 9 Kos) his first career defeat scoring a dominating unanimous decision, 80-72 on all three scorecards in the eight-round featherweight co-feature bout.See fight highlightsANSEO.

The 21-year-old two-time Junior Olympic National Champion and the 2014 agus 2015 National Golden Gloves Champion from Salinas, Calif., Villa outworked and outperformed the slower but determined Cervera en route to a decisive decision victory.

“It felt good fighting on the big stage and I got the victory against a very tough undefeated fighter,” the one-time Olympic alternate Villa said. “I felt I controlled the entire fight with my superior boxing skills. I’m ready to step up to the next level. I’m taking on all comers no matter who they are, I feel I’m the best featherweight in the world.”

In the sixth round, Villa got to work featuring a strong right hand and following up with jabs and combinations that seemed to buzz Cevera, who was out-landed on punches in the round 35-5.

The jab was the key weapon for Villa as he led 105-23 in connects as well as holding a 36 percent to eight percent advantage in jab accuracy. Villa exceeded double-digits in jabs in every round but the first.

The lefty Villa said visiting Riverside and spending time with noted trained Robert Garcia has helped his game. “I’ll give myself an 8 nó 9 anocht,"A dúirt sé. “I believe in my speed. I know there are guys like [Abner] Mares and [Lion] Santa Cruz who people know, but visiting Riverside let me see I can step in there with anyone.”

Cevera became the 182ú career fighter to lose his undefeated record onShoBox. “I knew Ruben Villa was a very fast fighter because I saw some video of him, but I didn’t know he was that fast,” Cervera said. “He’s much faster when you see him inside the ring. I tried everything I could but my distance was off. I was able to hit them with a couple of combinations and he probably felt my power. I don’t disagree with the judges’ decision, he was the better man tonight.”

In the telecast opener, Cuban heavyweight Frank Sanchez (11-0, 9 Kos) overcame a 14-minute delay between the first and second rounds knocking out former college football player Willie Jake, Jr. (8-2-1, 2 Kos) ag 2:59 an dara babhta. Both fighters sat calmly on their stools as local promoters worked to repair two of the ropes that had fallen from their post.See fight highlightsANSEO.

After controlling the action in the first round, Frank’s raw punches simply overpowered the heavier Jake, catching him with a glancing right to the head and a cuffing hook to the body that caused Jake to fall face-first to the canvas and the fight was waved off with just one second remaining in the second round.

Sanchez was the more accurate fighter landing 39 percent of his power shots to Jake’s 25 faoin gcéad. He also outlanded the Indianapolis native in total connects (28-15) and in landed power shots (20-14).

“I wanted to show the world that I’m the new Cuban boxing sensation,” said Sanchez, who grew up in Guantanamo, Cúba, and now resides in Miami. “I didn’t let the ring rope delay affect my performance. Sleachta FINAL:

DEVIN HANEY:

“This is a 10-round fight for the WBO Intercontinental and WBC International belts, so it’s a big deal. This is a true step up for me.

“It’s important for me build a name in different areas of the country. I’ve fought in Southern California and Philadelphia, and now I’m fighting in Louisiana. This fight I will show who Devin Haney is. In this fight I’ll showcase my skills and I’ll show my full arsenal.

“My style is not a style that people want to fight. I will fight whoever is out there. We haven’t been getting a lot call backs. I’ve had other offers from all the top promotion companies, but I want to remain independent and make my own decisions.

“My opponent has an awkward style. I know he has a lot of confidence and he thinks he can beat me. That’s great for him, but he hasn’t faced anyone with my combination of speed and power.

“At the end of my career I think it would be great if the world continued to say, ‘I don’t know if he can take a punch.’ That would be the goal.”

XOLISANI NDONGENI:

“I’ve trained and sparred with guys at Mayweather’s gym in Las Vegas for four months in 2017. I learned a lot got some great experience.

“I see a young, good prospect in Devin Haney. I just have to keep to my game plan. He doesn’t realize how fast I am. I’ll show some different looks, and know what he’s planning to do. Whatever Haney brings, I’ll adjust.

“I’ve been in some deep waters and I have more rounds than Haney. That experience will pay off for me.

“I’ve been knocked down once in my career. It was early and I came back to knock him down five times and won the fight.

“Haney wants to be called a contender. I’ve been a contender and I know what it takes to be at the top level of the sport. I’ve never taken a fight I wasn’t prepared for or thought that I couldn’t win.”

RUBEN VILLA

“This is exciting and what we’ve been working toward. The contracted weight is 128 for this fight, but I’m a natural featherweight at 126. I’m a southpaw but a natural righty. I throw a lot of jabs, go mo stíl.

“I’m representing Salinas and want to be a world champion someday. I’m only 21 bliain d'aois, and to already be fighting onShoBox is a dream come true.

“People say I don’t have the knockouts, but it’s in my mind and they will come. The power and knockouts will come.

“I once beat Devin [Haney] by unanimous decision in the amateurs. Bhí mé 15, and it was in the finals of the Junior Olympics. Devin’s real slick and aggressive and he moves well. That’s how you beat him.

RUBEN CERVERA

“I’ve never been to the U.S., and I love it here. The press conference and the amount of attention this fight is getting is amazing. I’m used to watching this kind of stuff on T.V. But my mind is totally focused on this fight.

“I have power in all my punches. I’m a strong fighter who has to take a step up in my career. Tá mé óg, ach 20 bliain d'aois, so I’m anxious to get my career going.

“I know Villa is a southpaw. I’ve fought lefties several times in my career and have had no problem with it.

“There is a lot of talent in Colombia, but there aren’t the resources there to have a good career. You have to sacrifice a lot and that’s what I’ve done.”

FRANK SANCHEZ

“I’m 6-foot-4 and use my height to my advantage. I defected from Cuba in 2016 and my family is still in Cuba. My brother is the only one here in the States with me.

“I’m living in Miami now and training there. That will be my home base now.

“I’d love to fight [Deontay] Wilder. I want to be world champion so maybe someday I will. His technique is a little bit wild.

“I had great amateur experience and am a former member of the Cuban national amateur team. I know that will help me. I know there’s never been a heavyweight champion from Cuba, and I plan to be the first one.”

WILLIE JAKE JR.

“Indianapolis is a tough town to be a boxer because there’s not a lot going on there.

“I played college football [for Pasadena City College] but I hurt my wrist and decided to go into the military.

"[Frank] is a little fellow. He needs some maturing. I know they do things differently there in Cuba, but we both are fighting for our families. I’m going to let him know he needs to be a cruiserweight.”
