LAS VEGAS (Agosto 4, 2018) – leggero contendente Ladarius Miller (17-1, 5 KO) won a competitive unanimous decision over Dennis Galarza (16-4, 9 KO) in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions on Bounce Friday night from Sam’s Town in Las Vegas.

The 25-year-olds spent the first few rounds feeling each other out before the action heated up as Miller began to find some space inside with his speed. Miller’s southpaw attack saw him look to jab inside before darting to the right to deliver left hands.

I fought a tough opponent but I felt like I went in there and did what I was supposed to do,” ha detto Miller. “I thought I controlled the fight the way I wanted to, but it wasn’t my best performance. I know that I can come back even better.

Galarza’s height was definitely difficult to deal with and I had to really work to get on the inside. He tried to use his range and I had to make adjustments. I tried to keep him off balance and fight my fight.

Galarza’s work rate began to increase with Miller’s upped aggressiveness as he found success with his jab and countering some of the movement Miller flashed. In a fight that appeared close throughout, Miller’s speed and effective straight left hands, combined with counter right hooks, gave him the decision in the eyes of the judges by scores of 96-94, 97-93 e 99-91.

I’m ready to keep testing myself and move forward,” ha detto Miller. “I’m ready for any opportunity that comes my way against the best of the division.

Additional televised action saw former title challenger Sharif Bogere (32-1, 20 KO) win a hard fought unanimous decision over Chile’s Oscar Bravo (23-8, 11 KO) in their 10-round super lightweight showdown.

Bogere showed off an impressive arsenal, stinging Bravo early with a check left hook and combination punching that left his opponent bleeding from his left eye from the early rounds. Bravo pushed forward and tried to trap Bogere against the ropes while throwing power punches, despite the impairment.

Even with the 10-round onslaught from Bravo, Bogere was able to consistently counter and hurt Bravo, never allowing the Chilean fighter to put him in any real danger. The judges all saw the fight for Bogere with scores of 99-91 e 100-90 due volte.

Nel match di apertura della trasmissione televisiva, imbattuto Juan Heraldez (14-0, 8 KO) rode a first round knockdown and impressive combination punching on his way to a unanimous decision victory over Kevin Watts (11-3, 4 KO) in their 10-round super lightweight matchup.

Heraldez delivered a thundering counter left uppercut that sent Watts to the canvas in the opening frame of the fight. Watts was able to survive the round but it set the tone for what was to come, as Heraldez was consistently landed the cleaner and more powerful punches.

Watts attempted to get back in the fight leading with a power left hook but Heraldez was able to keep him at bay and deliver his own offense to earn the victory by scores of 100-89 e 98-91 due volte.

LAS VEGAS (Agosto 1, 2018) – Rising lightweight contender Ladarius Miller will look to make a statement when he faces Dennis Galarza in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions on Bounce (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT) Venerdì, Agosto 3 from Sam’s Town in Las Vegas.

I’m putting the lightweight division on notice,” ha detto Miller. “I will be a name tossed in with the other great fighters in this division and I’m coming for that top spot. No one can stop me.

Miller has improved across the board since a defeat to Rolando Chinea and will look to continue to build off of his recent momentum on August 3.

Suffering a loss has helped me toughen up mentally,” ha detto Miller. “I added a strength and conditioning coach who’s kept me in shape and helped me push myself farther. My head trainer Rafael Ramos has helped me get to this point and we’re only getting started.

I now know that the only person who can beat me in the ring is myself. Whenever I’m in the gym and thinking about the loss, I remind myself that I am my only competition. When you begin to get serious about your craft and dedicate yourself, the results show.

The Memphis-native, who now fights under the Mayweather Promotions banner in Las Vegas, is positioned to make waves in his first headlining spot.

It feels great to be in this position at the top of the card,” ha detto Miller. “Floyd and Leonard Ellerbe are putting me in a great position leading a card full of talented fighters. I don’t know where I’m ranked right now, but I believe this fight will get me to the level I need to be at to be in the conversation with top contenders.

He will be opposed by the skilled and lanky Galarza, a fighter that Miller is familiar with and who he may mesh with to create a memorable fight night.

I have a plan for whatever Galarza brings my way, ma soprattutto, I want to give the fans a great show and continue to show the world who Ladarius Miller is,” ha detto Miller. “I’ve known Galarza since the amateur days. He’s a talented fighter who’s long and capable of fighting from a good range. I’m quicker, craftier and at the end of the day, I think I’m going to win a great fight.

MINNEAPOLIS (Aprile 14, 2018) – Welterweight contender Jamal James (23-1, 10 KO) earned a hard fought majority decision over Abel Ramos (18-3-2, 13 KO) in front of his hometown fans Friday night in the main event of Premier Boxing Champions su FS1 e FOX Sports from the Armory in Minneapolis.

It feels so great to get this win in Minneapolis in front of all of my people here,” disse James, “Ramos was a tough opponent who gave me a great challenge, but I was able to keep my composure and give the fans a win.

James used his 6-foot-2 frame and reach advantage to beat Ramos to the punch in round one, but was clipped in round two by a left hook from the game Ramos that had the local favorite in temporary trouble and on the defensive.

The Minneapolis-native was able to regain his composure and return to the offensive as he poured right hands behind a strong jab along with movement that made it difficult for Ramos to land cleanly. Ramos continued to charge forward however, emphasizing body shots that slowed James down and allowed him to win rounds.

I had to dig down tonight but I think it was a good fight for me to grind out,” disse James. “I’m going to keep getting better and I hope to have a chance to display my talents at home again. I know if I keep working, I’m going to get a chance to prove myself against the best out there.

James was able to send the hometown fans happy after 10 round, with judges giving him the majority decision by scores of 95-95 e 96-94 due volte.

The telecast also featured a spirited 10-round lightweight clash that saw Edner Cherry (37-7-2, 19 KO)earn a close but unanimous decision over Dennis Galarza(16-3, 9 KO).

Galarza controlled the early action with his jab and a powerful right hand that appeared to have Cherry stunned in the first round. His length advantage was key until Cherry was able to establish position on the inside.

Cherry began to land several powerful shots on Galarza with both hands in the middle rounds, backing Galarza up and taking away much of power on his shots. Galarza tried to back off and box Cherry more down the stretch, but was unable to avoid the oncoming Cherry as often as he needed.

Dopo 10 rounds all three judges favored the work of Cherry by scores of 97-93 e 96-94 due volte.

In a battle of unbeaten prospects, Chris Colbert (8-0, 2 KO) scored a TKO victory over Austin Dulay (11-1, 8 KO)after seven rounds of lightweight action.

Colbert was first to the punch from the outset, landing straight right hands cleanly before flummoxing Dulay by switching to the southpaw stance. Colbert scored a knockdown in round six with a combo punctuated by a powerful body shot. After a dominant seventh round, referee Mark Nelson stopped the fight after checking on Dulay in his corner.

Additional action saw 6-foot-6 unbeaten prospect SebastianThe Towering InfernoFondora (9-0, 5 KO) stop previously unbeaten Veshawn Owens (9-1, 9 KO)a 2:27 of the fifth round of their super welterweight fight and 17-year-old former amateur standout Joey Spencer (2-0, 2 KO)deliver a dominant TKO 51 seconds into the first round against Ousmane Sylla (1–3-1, 1 KO) in a super welterweight contest.

Super-Sized Super Welterweight, Sebastian Fundora, Relaxed and Confident Going Into Action This Friday Against Also Undefeated KO Artist Veshawn Owens

It takes a big man to go into another undefeated fighter’s hometown and take him down, but as the biggest super welterweight in boxing history, SebastianThe Towering InfernoFundora is more than up to the task.

The 6-foot-6 Fundora (8-0, 4 KO) will face Minnesota-based KO artist Veshawn Owens (9-0, 9 KO) questo Venerdì, Aprile 13, in an eight-round showdown at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pair will meet on the undercard of the Premier Boxing Champions on FOX & FOX Deportes event featuring hometown welterweight Jamal James taking on Abel Ramos (9:00 p.m. E / 6:00 p.m. PT)

Presented by Warriors Boxing and TGB Promotions, the event will also see rugged veteran Edner Cherry battling rising lightweight Dennis Galarza in a 10-round bout and Austin Dulay and Chris Colbert clashing in an eight-round match between unbeaten super featherweight prospects. Also appearing on the card is sensational 17-year-old 154-pound prospect Joey Spencer (1-0, 1 KO), a former No. 1 ranked amateur and nine-time national champion.

I biglietti per l'evento dal vivo, which is, are on sale now and are available by visiting www.ArmoryMN.com.

I’ve fought in other people’s backyards and I’ve already beaten undefeated fighters too, so I’m used to this,” said Fundora, a confident 20-year-old southpaw from Coachella, California. “I don’t know much about Owens, but it feels great being able to fight tougher opponents. People are now able to view my full capabilities, instead of knocking guys out in the first round and it doesn’t mean as much.

With a heavyweight’s reach and height, Fundora is massive for a 154-lb fightera natural gift he works on in the gym to its full advantage.

We trained hard and worked a lot on distance and a lot more power and strength for this fight. I’m not just the biggest, I’m also stronger than anybody else. We started training for this in January. After my last fight, in Argentina, I took a week off and then started working on conditioning in Big Bear. It’s been a great camp.

Fundora’s promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz di Sampson Boxing, dice “The Towering Infernois more than agimmick fighter.

He’s for real,” ha detto Lewkowicz. “He’s already beaten some good fighters. How he puts all that size and strength into 154 lbs., I do not know, but Fundora is too big for anyone at this weight. You have to get inside on him and it’s just too far to go because he’s punishing you for every inch you try to take.

I’m more than happy with the way things are going,” continued Fundora. “A victory in this fight would be a good stepping stone to hopefully fight for a regional belt next. I will have a lot of opportunities after I win.

I biglietti per l'evento dal vivo, which is promoted by Warriors Boxing and TGB Promotions, in vendita Venerdì, Marzo 16 and will be available by visiting www.ArmoryMN.com.
L'aprile 13 event marks the return of boxing to the Minneapolis Armory, a historic venue that hosted nearly 100 cards between 1915 e 1973, including a show headlined by all-time great Sugar Ray Robinson in 1942.
Warriors Boxing is thrilled that PBC, FS1 and FOX Deportes are bringing professional boxing back to Minneapolis on Venerdì, Aprile 13,” ha detto Leon Margules, Presidente Warriors Boxing. “There couldn’t be a more fitting venue than the newly renovated, historic Minnesota Armory in downtown Minneapolis. The Armory has a rich boxing tradition and has not hosted a boxing event for 45 anni. It will be a great night for the highly acclaimed PBC on FS1 and FOX Deportes series in this beautiful and historic building.
Jamal James has staked his position as a rising contender in the welterweight division and has the kind of fan-friendly style that fits perfectly in the talent-rich 147-pound class,” ha detto Tom Brown, Presidente di Promotions TGB.
People think Edner’s going to break me down, but I took the fight that nobody wants to take. I believe in my talents and I’m ready to make my mark. This fight will demonstrate the type of fighter that I am.
It is rare to see a match between two young prospects on the rise this early in their careers, but Dulay and Colbert are both eager for that challenge. Dulay (11-0, 8 KO) was busy last year, fighting four times with only one fight going the distance. The 22-year-old southpaw from Nashville, Tennessee most recently scored a TKO victory over Carlos Padilla last August.
Colbert (7-0, 2 KO) has one of the most decorated amateur careers in New York City as he fights out of the renowned Atlas Cops and Kids Gym in Brooklyn. The 21-year-old is noted for his blazing hand and foot speed and he enters this fight coming off a unanimous decision victory over previously unbeaten Titus Williams last November.

LAS VEGAS (Giugno 21, 2017) – Imbattuto Eddie Ramirez (17-0, 11 KO) ha guadagnato una vittoria split-decisione su Erick Bone (16-5, 8 KO) in caso principale Premier Boxing Champions MARTEDI TOE-to-toe su FS1 e Boxing Champions su FOX Deportes Martedì night from Sam’s Town live in Las Vegas.
Representing Chicago, Ramirez controlled the fight early by working off of his jab and attacking with both hands on the inside. Bone was able to consistently throw counters back, but Ramirez showed good defensive skills throughout the night, never taking serious punishment.
I was comfortable in the ring stasera,” said Ramirez. “I remain unbeaten. I put the pressure on and I got the win. I think the fans will start to see me more and more.
Ramirez began to break through the guard of Bone and had him in trouble in round four before Bone found his composure and finished the round. The second half of the fight saw Bone increase his movement, which seemed to frustrate Ramirez, who was looking to engage and deliver a knockout.
He made it a little difficult because he wasn’t cooperating,” said Ramirez. “He was running around the ring, but I am proud of my performance. I won and that’s all that matters. I’m going to get back in the ring and get back to training until I get word on my next fight.
Bone finished the fight strong and believed he did enough to earn the decision.
“Non sono d'accordo con la decisione,” detto Bone. “I am frustrated because I feel I won, however the judges saw it differently. I thought I landed more punches and I just don’t see how they came to the decision that was made. He was a good fighter, tough opponent, but again I believe the wrong decision was made stasera.”
After the 10-round welterweight contest concluded it was Ramirez who was awarded the decision with scores of 97-93 due volte, while one judge saw the bout 97-93 for Bone.
I want whoever is next,” said Ramirez. “I’m ready for whoever can get me closer to a title shot.
Additional televised action saw Xavier Martinez (8-0, 4 KO) keep his perfect record intact by earning a shutout unanimous decision against previously unbeaten Prince Smalls (11-1-1, 4 KO) in their eight-round featherweight contest.
While Smalls had the reach advantage and was dedicated to his jab throughout the bout, Martinez was consistently aggressive and was able to navigate the distance and punish Smalls with hooks to the head and body.
I knew the one advantage he had going into this fight was his height,” , ha detto Martinez. “But once I got in the ring I saw quickly that he was leaving his body open so I just went in and tried to deliver as many combos and hit the body as much as I could.
Martinez landed big power punches all night, including a pinpoint right cross that connected with Smalls at the end of round four. A clean left hook staggered Smalls in round seven as Martinez spent the round punishing his opponent, who was barely able to stay on his feet and finish the frame.
After another dominant round to close out the bout, Martinez was awarded the decision by the score of 80-71 su tutti e tre i giudici’ scorecard.
I wanted the knockout and I think the fans could tell,” , ha detto Martinez. “This is my first fight this year, so it’s back in the gym for me as I look to my next opponent. I’ll definitely be ready for anyone.
The opening bout of the telecast saw lightweight prospect Dennis Galarza (16-2, 9 KO) record his third straight victory via a unanimous decision over Mexico’s Omar Tienda (18-5, 11 KO) in their 10-round contest.
The taller Galarza used his length early and landed clean hooks on the inside during round one. Tienda came out in round two intent on making it a rough fight and crowding Galarza to negate his reach advantage.
I give my performance about a 7.5,” Detto Galarza. “I knew I was coming into the ring with a tough rugged veteran Mexican fighter and he used that to his advantage, I should have used my jab more.
Galarza continued to have success with his left hook throughout the night, while Tienda was able to slow down Galarza’s offense in the middle rounds with a relentless body attack. Much of the battle took place in close quarters and in round nine Tienda was deducted a point by referee Robert Byrd for throwing Galarza to the canvas.
After 10-rounds of hard-fought action, Galarza’s clean work and good movement in the late rounds helped him earn a unanimous decision by scores of 100-89, 99-90 e 98-91.
There was a lot of holding, but it didn’t really affect my plan,” Detto Galarza. “I wanted the knockout going in but I’m just happy I got the win unanimously. I need to get back in the gym and work on really using my jab and uppercut more and I think that will help me going into the next fight.

Eddie Ramirez Training Camp Quotes

LAS VEGAS (Giugno 15, 2017) – Imbattuto prospettiva Eddie Ramirez has made big leaps towards his world title dreams in the last year and he will continue on his path on Martedì, Giugno 20quando assume Erick Bone in caso principale Premier Boxing Champions MARTEDI TOE-to-toe su FS1 e Boxing Champions on FOX Deportes from Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas.

Copertura Televised inizia 9 p.m. E/6 p.m. PT and features a 10-round matchup between junior welterweight prospect Dennis Galarza e il Messico di Omar Tienda plus an eight-round battle between unbeaten featherweight prospects Xavier Martinez e Prince Smalls.

I biglietti per l'evento dal vivo, che è promossa da Promozioni Mayweather, sono al prezzo di $15, $30, $45 e sono già in vendita. Tickets are available online at www.samstownlv.com/entertain.

Here is what Ramirez had to say about his training camp, his main event showdown and more:

Where have you been holding training camp and how is it going?

“I’m training in Garfield Park in Chicago with George Hernandez, who has trained me throughout my entire professional career. Campo di addestramento è stato andando alla grande, I’ve been conditioned to stay ready because at any time a fight can come my way. I’m always prepared and I’ll show that on June 20.”

What did you learn about yourself from your last two fights (wins over previously unbeaten fighters Ryan Karl and Kevin Watts)? How have you been able to improve as a fighter?

“After fighting Kevin Watts, I immediately shifted my mentality as a fighter to be more in control and to be smarter. Because being a reckless fighter got me caught and got me knocked down. Ultimately I got the win, but I am thankful for that experience because it helped shape me as a fighter as I continue to face tougher opponents.

“The Karl fight showed off a different Eddie Ramirez. I was a more defensive fighter, I used my counters more and that mindset and growth is what got me the win and will help me get this next one against Bone.”

My last two opponents have really helped me improve as a fighter. The ability has always been there, but I needed those experiences to bring it out of me. Each opponent has been tougher than the last and it’s been very motivating for me as a fighter to continue to be better and perfect my skill. I have always been the underdog so that’s never been a factor or worry for me, I just take each fight as they come and continue to be better. My defense is better, my athleticism has improved, and my mental ability has progressed.”

How do you see this fight with Erick Bone going?

“My expectations or thought process going into this next fight with Erick Bone is to get him out early. I don’t want the fight to go the distance, I have to do whatever I can do to get him out. He’s an aggressive fighter, he’s a technical fighter who has experience, but I am quicker.”

What are your goals for the next year of you career?

A year from now I see myself fighting guys in the Top 10. I want whoever is on that list, I believe I will have progressed as a fighter who people know about and believe has the skill to fight for a world title. I just got to beat out whoever comes my way to show the world who I am and how talented I am as a fighter. I want the big names who are going to get me to the big stage for that world title
