Warriors Boxing and Ural Boxing wish to congratulate the fighter they co-promote, brand-new IBF Cruiserweight World Champion Murat “Σίδερο” Gassiev, for his title-winning victory on December 3 against Denis Lebedev at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow, Ρωσία.
In an entertaining fight, Gassiev (24-0, 17 KOs) του Vladikavkaz, Ρωσία, dropped his countryman Lebedev in the fifth round and won a split decision by scores of 116-112 και 116-111 against a score of 114-113 for the now-former champ.

Boxing politics aside, Margules and his team say they are happy with the way the 23-year-old Gassiev looked in going 12 rounds for the first time in his life.
“Murat fulfilled the promise he has shown throughout his ascension to the top of the division,” said Margules. “He was in his first 12-rounder and he kept his composure. He didn’t blow his energy when he had the guy down in the fifth. And he didn’t panic when the champion, who is a very tough guy, had a few good rounds in the middle of the fight. I am very happy to be promoting a terrific fighter like him.”

“He reminds me of a young Rocky Marciano,” said Warriors Boxing’s COO Luis DeCubas. “He’s like a tank coming forward that you can’t stop. He will get to you eventually. He’s a star in this sport. I am sure the Shumenov/Dorticos winner would much rather fight the real unified champion Gassiev, instead of the loser Lebedev. These types of situations really hurt our sport.”

Team Shumenov responds to Lebedev vs. Gassiev world title fight announcement

Team Shumenov petitions WBA to declare purse bid for mandatory title fight vs. Lebedev or strip Lebedev of his world cruiserweight title belt

LAS VEGAS (Ιούλιος 22, 2016) – It has been more than a month since World Boxing Association (WBA) world cruiserweight champion Shumenov Beibu (16-2, 10 KOs), based on the much publicized WBA Cruiserweight Tournament rules and regulations, petitioned the WBA to either declare a purse bid for a title fight between WBA Super cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev, or strip Lebedev of his title belt for being non-compliant.

If no agreement has been reached, the Championships Committee, with the approval of the President, can call for Purse bid. A boxer may also request a purse bid at any time.
Lebedev’s promoter, Andrei Ryabinsky, has been quoted in stories about having a deal in place for his fighter to defend his IBF title first. In effect, the WBA is allowing Lebedev to hold the WBA Super cruiserweight title belt hostage, leveraging it against his IBF crown. Shumenov, who is a former WBA Super light heavyweight champion, has now proudly worn the WBA belt around his waist for a total of nearly five years.
“I was looking forward to fighting Lebedev and I don’t understand his unwillingness and refusal to step in the ring with me,” Shumenov είπε.

Evaluate your performance against Junior Wright in your last fight?

LAS VEGAS (Αύγουστος. 3, 2015) – Πρόσφατα στεφθεί World Boxing Association (WBA) Ενδιάμεση πρωταθλητής cruiserweight Shumenov Beibu (16-2, 10 KOs) που έγιναν πρόσφατα την ιστορία για άλλη μια φορά, νικώντας B.J. Λουλούδια (31-2-1, 20 KOs) μέσω ενός 12-στρογγυλή ομόφωνη απόφαση Premier Πυγμαχία Τσάμπιονς σειρά headliner, η οποία προβλήθηκε τον Ιούλιο 25ου για NBCSN ζωντανά από The Palms στο Λας Βέγκας.

Shumenov, 31, έγινε ο υποχρεωτικό αμφισβητία για WBA “τακτικός” Cruiserweight ο πρωτοπόρος Denis Lebedev (27-1, 20 KOs, 1 NC), της Ρωσίας, καθώς και η πρώτη Καζακστάν μητρική για να συλλάβει έναν παγκόσμιο τίτλο σε δύο διαφορετικές κατηγορίες βάρους όντας το WBA ελαφρύ βαρέων βαρών πρωτοπόρο από 2010-2014.

Πυγμαχία φυτώριο Καζακστάν παρήγαγε πέντε άλλα πρωταθλητές κόσμου κατά τη διάρκεια του τελευταίο τέταρτο του αιώνα: 1990 WBC έξοχος featherweight Aratoly Αλεξάντροφ, 2000 WBC βαρέων βαρών Oleg “Big O” Maskaev, 2001-2003 – IBF cruiserweight Βασίλι “Ο Τίγρης” Jirov, 2010-2012 WBA έξοχο middleweight Δημήτρη Sartison και βασιλεύοντας WBA έξοχο / WBC Ενδιάμεση middleweight Gennady Golovkin.

Σε γροθιά ιστορικό αγώνα του πίσω στο 2010, Shumenov νίκησε υπεράσπιση WBA ελαφρύ βαρέων βαρών πρωτοπόρο Γαβριήλ Campillo viaa 12-στρογγυλή απόφαση να καθιερώσει το ρεκόρ για λιγότερες-αγώνες, 10, για να γίνει παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής του μια μεγάλη οργάνωση στο τμήμα 175-λιβρών.

“Είμαι πολύ περήφανος για ένα ακόμη ρεκόρ στην πυγμαχία,” 2004 Ολυμπίου Shumenov είπε. “Έχω την τιμή να είναι ο πρώτος μαχητής από τη χώρα μου να γίνει παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής σε δύο τμήματα. Shumenov πέρασε από μια μεταμόρφωση στυλ, υπό τη διεύθυνση του διάσημου Κουβανού προπονητή Ismael Salas, ο οποίος συνεργάστηκε με την αθλητική του Καζακστάν να τον αλλάξετε από έναν επιθετικό, άλεση μαχητής σε μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη, όλα-γύρω μπόξερ. Shumenov αμηχανία Φλόρες, ο οποίος αναμένεται Shumenov να έρθει σ 'αυτόν και την ανταλλαγή γροθιές, που θα έχουν δώσει το μεγαλύτερο φυσικό, ισχυρότερη Φλόρες πλεονέκτημα. Μετά τον αγώνα, Shumenov εξήγησε την έκπληξη αλλαγή που πέρασε μετά την προπόνηση με Salas από τον Ιανουάριο. “Είμαι ακόμα στη διαδικασία της μάθησης. Όπως λέει ο προπονητής μου, δεν υπάρχουν όρια, και ακόμα δεν έχω τελειοποιήσει αυτό που με έχει διδάξει. Έρχεται πραγματικά κάτω σε μια πολύ σκληρή δουλειά, επαναλήψεις της μνήμης των μυών. Footwork μου για αυτόν τον αγώνα ήρθε από τον εκπαιδευτή μου. Ήμουν ευτυχής να είναι νικηφόρα, αλλά εξακολουθώ να βλέπω τον εαυτό μου να πάρει μια πολύ καλύτερη, συνολική, ως πλήρης μπόξερ.”

Salas εκπαιδεύει επίσης World Boxing Συμβουλίου (WBC) Παγκόσμιος Πρωταθλητής ελαφρύ Jorge Linares (39-3, 26 KOs), εκτός από το χειρισμό παρελθόν και το παρόν πρωταθλητές κόσμου, όπως Guillermo Rigondeaux, Yuriokis Gamboa, Danny Green, και Jesse Βάργκας.

“Υπάρχει μια διαδικασία για όλους από την άποψη της βιο-μηχανικής,” Salas σχολίασε. “Υπάρχουν ειδικότητες της εκπαίδευσης που διδάσκουν ότι δεν χρησιμοποιούνται συχνά στην πυγμαχία, ειδικές ασκήσεις για τη δυναμική της κίνησης. Έμαθα αρχικά στον προπονητή στην κουβανική σύστημα, το οποίο είναι παρόμοιο με το σοβιετικό σύστημα στο οποίο Beibut έμαθε για πρώτη φορά, αλλά έχω επίσης σε όλο τον κόσμο η εκμάθηση διαφορετικών μεθόδων κατάρτισης. Παίρνει ακόμα χρόνο για έναν μαχητή παγκόσμιας κλάσης όπως Beibut, ο οποίος υπήρξε παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής ως επαγγελματίας, και είχε πολλές ερασιτεχνικές αγώνες. Jorge Linares ήταν ένας δύο φορές παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής πριν αρχίσαμε να δουλεύουμε μαζί. Beibut φθάσει εκεί. Δεν είναι ακόμα στο μέγιστο των δυνατοτήτων του,, τώρα, χρησιμοποιώντας μόνο 40-50 τοις εκατό των εργαλείων του.”

Shumenov είναι δικηγόρος και επιτυχημένος επιχειρηματίας ο οποίος μιλάει πέντε γλώσσες. Παρά το γεγονός ότι αυτός είναι ένας δύο φορές παγκόσμιος πρωταθλητής, αυτός είναι ακόμα ένας μαθητής του μποξ, και Salas είναι αξιοσέβαστη καθηγητή του.

Και το αποτέλεσμα ήταν ένα δεύτερο παγκόσμιο τίτλο.
