Undefeated prospect Marrero hires Galante as manager

Danbury, Connecticut (Maig 19, 2017) – Rising Junior Welterweight Cristobal ‘Bazooka’ Marrero (4-0, 2Nocauts, New London, Connecticut) has bolstered his camp by hiring A. J. Galante as his manager.

It’s always humbling when somebody of his talent and caliber seeks you and wants you to be part of their team. He has all the tools, the hunger, amateur experience (82 baralles), and personality to be a star. I’ve been brought onboard to monitor and add structure to his camp, and map out the future both for the short and long term. I’m looking forward to working with and building a successful relationship with his promoter, Jimmy Burchfield and CES, one of the most respected names in professional boxing.”

In speaking with Marrero, it’s clear to see he is optimistic on his future. “My Dad and I have followed A.J. and have seen the great things he has been doing with everybody that he handles, as well as his gym and amateur program. When we met with him the first time, we left knowing this was a guy we could trust, and has what it takes to take me to the next level, we knew we had to hire him. He is a man of his word and I’m so excited about some of the ideas he has for my career. It just makes me hungrier!”

The reviews are in, and the numbers are in, and the decision is unanimous: the debut of FIGHTNIGHT LIVE, on Facebook Live Dijous evening from Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, was a KO victory.

Watchers of the stream, which drew 37,000-plus “uniques” on fight night, and continues to draw clicks, enjoyed a Star Boxing main event topped by a junior middleweight scrap between vet Delvin Rodriguez and up ‘n comer Courtney Pennington.

CHICAGO (Juny 13, 2015) – Lliga de Campions de Boxa (PBC) a Espiga tornat a UIC Pavilion de Xicago el divendres nit amb un altre lliurament de baralles espectaculars. L'obertura televisada baralla serra Artur Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs) gestionar setena ronda eliminatòria contra Alexander Johnson (16-3, 7 KOs). The second televised bout featured Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12 KOs) as he secured a unanimous decision victory over Delvin Rodríguez (28-8-4, 16 KOs).

“Gràcies a tot l'equip ia Delvin per ser un gran competidor. Gràcies Al Haymon.

 

“Aquesta va ser una gran actuació aquesta nit. Jo era capaç d'aterrar meva esquerra. Delvin realment estava tractant de sobreviure en aquest país, així que sabia el que estava fent estava treballant.

 

“Jo estava tractant d'esquer per entrar, però no funcionava. Així que vaig haver de ser agressius en aquest país.

 

“Mai és una sensació còmoda deixant als jutges. M'agradaria guanyar cada ronda i obtenir el cop de gràcia, si és possible, però almenys em van donar la victòria aquesta nit.

“Era molt incòmode allà per a mi aquesta nit. Ell era fort i donar-me un munt d'angles estranys per treballar amb.

 

“Ell sempre estava mirant a la terra la seva esquerra. Ell em va trucar una vegada per al cos, encara que i que va tenir tres o quatre rondes de sacsejar-.

 

“Crec PBC és gran per a l'esport. Estan prenent la boxa a un nou nivell. Algunes de les coses que realment van a fer-se popular amb els fans. Mantenir el focus en els lluitadors és una gran part d'aquest.

 

“És difícil dir el que es ve en aquest moment. Encara hi ha algunes grans baralles per a mi. El fet que he perdut a un expert, lluitador tècnic com Lara no vol dir que no hi ha grans baralles que deixen per a mi.”

 

ARTUR Beterbiev

 

“Aquesta és una gran avantatge per a mi i una gran experiència per la meva carrera professional. Estic molt feliç d'haver anat més enllà de quatre rondes aquesta nit.

 

“Res estava realment treballant tan bé per a mi aquesta nit encara que. M'agrada boxejar intel·ligent i trobar les obertures adequades. Potser el destre a esquerrà interruptor en l'última setmana va fer una diferència.

 

“Estic molt feliç i orgullós d'haver format part d'una altra targeta de PBC i d'haver tingut una baralla aquí als Estats Units. L'última vegada que vaig estar a Chicago va ser en 2007 en el mateix lloc. Així se sentia genial estar de tornada.

 

“Sóc un boxejador, però no m'agrada cridar a la gent i insultar. No puc predir el futur, però treballaré dur perquè el meu ratxa encara millor que aquest. Vull que el major cinturó que puc aconseguir. Aquest és el meu objectiu.”

“Poc temps no importa perquè és part del joc per a estar sempre preparat. No tinc excuses. Ell va ser el millor home aquesta nit.

“Estic prenent aquesta baralla com si fos la meva última oportunitat. Així és com em vaig a barallar aquesta lluita. Així és com m'he programat la meva ment per aquesta baralla, com si la meva esquena està contra la paret. Aquesta és la meva última oportunitat per un títol mundial.

 

“Estic davant d'un gran boxejador. Ell és un lluitador molt tècnic i té grans habilitats. I això m'ajuda a motivar encara més. Es em va fer treballar molt més dur per a aquesta baralla.

 

“He estat llegint molt sobre el que els mitjans de comunicació està dient sobre aquesta lluita. Els prometo als aficionats que el que he de fer, això serà una baralla emocionant. Ha de ser una baralla emocionant per Delvin Rodríguez perquè aquesta és la meva última oportunitat.”

“Estic molt content de ser aquí a Chicago per aquesta baralla. Estic llest per a qualsevol cosa al ring.

 

“Si el meu oponent va a cridar-se a si mateix d'Alejandro El Gran’ Johnson, llavors estaré 'El Rei Arturo’ i sóc aquí per guanyar. Tot i que faig broma que jo sóc aquí per guanyar i això és la veritat.

 

“No podíem fer massa la investigació sobre el nou oponent, però hem vist a través d'un parell de vídeos, així que sabem que l'oponent és un esquerrà i estem preparats per això.

 

“No m'agrada subestimar els meus oponents i em preparo per a tothom la mateixa. Vaig a estar llest per anar contra ell.
