Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship to Utilize Real Time Scoring at BKFC 11 in Wichita, Kansas this Saturday, Gājiens 14

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) will utilize the revolutionary new Real Time Scoring, as offered by the Kansas Athletic Commission, at BKFC 11: Ernandess vs. Wilson, Šo sestdien, Gājiens 14, at INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas. To darot, BKFC will become the second promotion ever in Kansas, and the first bare knuckle promotion to employ the system which immediately allows fighters, their corners, and fans to know the judges’ round by round scores.

“BKFC 11” will be broadcast across the United States and Canada, exclusively on pay-per-view (9 pm ET/6 pm PT) through MultiVision Media, Inc., on all major television distribution outlets for $29.99. It will also be available to BKFC’s international broadcast partners worldwide and via stream to all in-home and out-of-home connected devices through FITE.

Tickets for the live event are on sale now and can be purchased online atwww.selectaseat.com, by phone at 855-733-SEAT (7328) and in-person at the Select-A-Seat Box Office at INTRUST Bank Arena.

“I was very intrigued when I learned that the Kansas Athletic Commission was going to start offering on March 1 all fight promoters with events in their state the option of using Real Time Scoring, but I wanted to see it in use first before I made a decision about BKFC 11,” said BKFC founder and president David Feldman. “After seeing it executed flawlessly by the Kansas Commission at last Friday’s Invicta MMA event, coupled with the overwhelmingly positive response following that show from fighters and fight fans, I knew that this was absolutely the right way to go for BKFC.”

Real Time Scoring, also known as open scoring, is currently offered exclusively in North America by the Kansas Athletic Commission. Variations of this system have been used by the World Boxing Council and in Glory Kickboxing.

“After partnering with Shannon Knapp and Invicta Fighting Championships to utilize Real Time Scoring last Friday, we received nothing but positive feedback from the fighters and their camps,” said Kansas Athletic Commission Executive Director Adam Roorbach. “While absolutely not mandatory, Real Time Scoring is available to all fight promoters and promotions in the State of Kansas. We are proud to be hosting BKFC 11, and look forward to having them utilize this system.”

“BKFC 11” will be broadcast across the United States and Canada, exclusively on pay-per-view through MultiVision Media, Inc., on all major television distribution outlets for $29.99. “For a long time now, we’ve been wanting to bring BKFC to Kansas, so I could not be more excited that we are finally here,” said BKFC founder and president David Feldman. “I do not doubt that the two most popular and most decorated fighters in Kansas will deliver for their fans. Wichita native and former Bellator veteran Dave “Caveman” Rickels competes in a 175-pound bout in the co-main event, while hard-hitting bare knuckle heavyweight contender Sam Shewmaker returns to action to take on former Kronk Gym amateur standout Josh Burns in a special attraction.


The local flavor continues with a pair of all-Wichita showdowns as Bellator veteran, pro kickboxer and pro boxer Cody Carrillo faces 10-fight pro boxing veteranJeremija Page in a 155-pound fight, while Bellator and Strikeforce veteran Joe Wolf matches up against Bellator veteran L.J. Hermrick in 165-pound action. Vairāk, Wichita native and former UFC contender Jake Lindsey cīņas Kenny Licea, who defeated Harris Stephenson by KO in BKFC action in November,in a 165-pound bout.

The main event will see the BKFC debut of Wichita native and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist for the U.S. Nico Hernandez in a flyweight fight, while Wichita native and former Bellator veteran Dave “Caveman” Rickels competes in a 165-pound bout in the co-main event. The unbeaten 24-year-old from Wichita, Kansas capped off an impressive amateur career at the 2016 Olympic Games when he defeated fighters from Italy, Russia and Ecuador to clinch his light flyweight bronze medal. Hernandez is the first U.S. men’s boxing medalist since 2008. Since turning pro in March 2017, Hernandez has compiled a 7-0 ieraksts, including four wins by knockout. He is the second Olympian to sign with BKFC, and the first Olympic medalist.


“It’s been a goal of mine to fight at INTRUST Bank Arena ever since it was first built,” Said Hernandez. “I have yet to fight in Wichita. I’ve fought close by, but not actually in my city, so I’m really excited about this fight. I can’t wait to put on a show and bring out the city on March 14. I’m ready to take the gloves off and fight bare knuckle for BKFC!”


A 31-year-old veteran of 23 Bellator bouts, Rickels will make his BKFC debut in front of his hometown fans. Rickels fought twice in 2019, defeating AJ Matthews and losing to Yaroslav Amosov. He won eight of his first nine Bellator fights, is fourth all-time in Bellator wins and challenged for the Bellator lightweight championship in 2013. Kopumā, he has racked up an impressive 21-6 record in his pro MMA career.


“I built my name in Wichita and I was signed to Bellator off of a performance right here in this city,” said Rickels. “The support of the people who live here has helped make me who I am in combat sports. So any chance I get to perform in front of them, I will jump on it.”


Fighting out of Gravois Mills, Missouri, Shewmaker has already competed in five BKFC bouts since debuting on BKFC 1 with a highlight-reel knockout of Eric Prindle. After defeating Maurice Jackson, Shewmaker lost a split-decision to Arnold Adams in the first-ever BKFC heavyweight title fight. He bounced back to defeat Joel Parades in February 2019 at BKFC 4, before fighting to a split-draw in another BKFC heavyweight title fight, this time against Chase Sherman at BKFC 5 aprīlī.

(Jan. 26, 2017) –The official weigh-ins for Bellator 171: Guillard vs. Njokuani took place this evening in front of a rowdy crowd just outside the Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kansas. The competitors are now ready for action rīt, with the event airing LIVE on SPIKE at 9 p.m. UN/8 p.m. CT.

The event is headlined by a 180 lb. catchweight main event featuring Melvin Guillard (32-16-2, 3 NC) un Chidi Njokuani (16-4, 1 NC). HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — (Jan. 13, 2017) – A pair of heavyweight fights featuring undefeated blue chip prospects Jarod Trice(1-0) un Tyrell Fortune (1-0) have been added to the Bellator.com-streamed preliminary card of Bellator 171 at the Kansas Star Arena on Jan. 27.

Also added to the preliminary portion of Bellator 171 ir Bruna Ellen (2-1), kurš uzņemsies Carmella James (Debija) in a female flyweight clash. The 27-year-old standout was awarded three All-American honors, as well as a National Title at 120 kg and two Greco Roman National Titles, prior to joining the Bellator MMA fray in 2016. Now Trice is looking to make a name for himself in the world of MMA, after delivering an exceptional performance in his first career win over Tommie Britton at Bellator 167 just over one month ago. Kansas’ Kevin Woltkamp (1-2) will challenge Trice, and will look to play the role hometown spoiler when he competes in front of thousands of friends and family.

After earning state championships in nearly every national age-group in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling during high school, Fortune went on to compete at Grand Canyon University’s highly acclaimed program, where he was named the 2013 Division II Wrestler of the Year, taking home a NCAA Division II championship in the process. The Portland, Ore. native began his career under the direction of Bellator MMA last year, earning a sensational first round knockout victory in his debut at Bellator 163. The 26-year-old now hopes to preserve his unblemished record when he enters the cage for the second time against Will Johnson, who will be making his professional debut.

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazīlija, Ellen enters the bout looking to build off the momentum she came into Bellator with after signing with the Viacom-owned promotion last year. The flyweight prospect began her professional career with back-to-back victories in 2015, including one victory coming after a brilliant knockout win in the opening round of action. Tagad, the 20-year-old Brazilian makes her second appearance under the Scott Coker-led promotion in the same venue where she made her debut.

KANSAS’ OWN JESSICA MIDDLETON MAKES SPIKE DEBUT DURING FLYWEIGHT BOUT AGAINST ALICE YAUGER

GASTON REYNO ADDED TO STACKED PRELIMINARY CARD

McKee enters the Bellator MMA cage undefeated and continues to prove that he is one of the top young prospects in the sport of MMA. With each of McKee’s six professional fights coming under the direction of Bellator MMA, the 21-year-old Team BodyShop product has made a name for himself from day one, showing both exceptional power and elusiveness every time he steps into the cage. After finishing each of his first five opponents with opening round victories, “Mercenary” was finally taken the distance in his most recent bout with Ray Wood, earning a hard-fought unanimous decision win atBellator 166. A native of Long Beach, Calif., McKee will return to the Midwest in search of his first win of 2017.

Taking his ninth professional fight, 27-year-old Brandon Phillips will participate in the main card action for the first time in his Bellator MMA career. Phillips began his professional career with a bang, delivering five consecutive victories, ar četriem knockouts, and earning well-deserved attention from the Scott Coker-led promotion. Phillips made his Bellator MMA debut in 2016, collecting a unanimous decision victory over Chuka Willis pie Bellator 159. After recording finishes in five of six career wins, the Oklahoma City native will make the short trip up North to Kansas Star Arena, where he will have the opportunity to add to that impressive total.

Fighting out of Wichita, Kansas, 28-year-old Jessica Middleton will look to add to her impressive professional debut, a clutch victory over Bruna Ellen at last year’s Bellator 159 when she competes on Jan. 27. Following an undefeated amateur career, the hometown favorite now hopes to preserve her unblemished professional mark in a flyweight fight with Alice Yauger. An eight-fight veteran of MMA, Yauger enters the bout having won each of her last two contests and three of her past four. Hailing from Arlington, Teksasa, the 38-year-old Yauger hopes to use her experience advantage when she makes her promotional debut against the younger Middleton.

Making his fourth appearance under the Bellator MMA banner, Reyno enters the bout in search of his third win under the promotion and second in a row. A native of Montevideo, Urugvaja, Reyno has delivered finishes in each of his six career victories, including five straight first round stoppages to begin his professional career. “Tonga” will now direct his attention to Kansas Star Arena and Jan. 27, where he will look to build off of an impressive knockout win over L.J. Hermreck at Bellator 159.

The SPIKE-televised main card will feature the return of “The King of Kansas” David Rickels (17-4, 2 NC), who will meet Aaron Derrow (14-8). After beginning his professional career 11-0, Guillard continued to make a name for himself under the direction of UFC, where he fought 22 times over a nine-year stint. “The Young Assassin” has made 50 professional appearances inside the cage over his 15-year career, making him one of the most experienced veterans Njokuani has ever faced. MULVĀNS, KS. (Jūlijs 22, 2016) – In the main event of the evening, Darrion Caldwell (9-1) was submitted by Joe Taimanglo (23-6-1) in an absolutely shocking upset :09 seconds into the third and final frame.

With the defeat, the 2009 NCAA Div. 1 National Champion was handed the first loss of his career, kamēr “Juggernaut” has the entire Island of Guam rocking with his guillotine submission win. “Vilks” was cruising heading into the third and final frame, but after shooting for a takedown, Taimanglo slapped on a choke and didn’t relinquish the hold until Caldwell tapped. Guillard Assassinates ‘Caveman’ in Front of Hometown Faithful

Melvin Guillard (33-16-2) put Dave Rickels (17-5) to sleep in front of his hometown fans during the co-main event of "Bellator 159: Caldwell vs. Taimanglo.” Pēc 90 seconds of closely contested action, “The Young Assassin” caught “The Caveman,” then followed with a series of vicious elbows that ended the action at 2:14 apaļo vienu.
