Texas knockout artist Џејмс Киркланд (33-2, 29 КО) returns to the ring after making quick work of his last opponent in the first round. Kirkland has been one of boxing’s most explosive fighters with knockout wins over Brian Vera, Joel Julio, Алфредо Angulo, and Glen Tapia. Kirkland looks to make another run toward a championship taking on the “New Orleans Nightmare” Jas Phipps (10-7, 5 КО) in a six round Middleweight bout.

When the fight went to the inside, Baiz stood his ground and fired off some explosive combinations, hurting his opponent on a few occasions. Cantu, with his aggressive style, took the fight to the inside, making it uncomfortable for Castaneda throughout the whole bout. Toe-to-toe action commenced from the opening bell as both Biaz and his opponent Calzada, went right at each other. Calzada, stood his ground, but was getting beat to the punch. Calzada had his moments, but was outworked by Biaz, who was determined to come out victorious in front of his hometown fans. The fight was fought in a phone-booth for four rounds and the fans were thrilled to see these two warriors go at it. The Weslaco-native has stayed busy in 2016 picking up four more victories via stoppage over Oldier Landin, Harold Reyes, Jahaziel Vazquez and Jonell Nieves. He now takes on the 24-year-old Zorilla out of Puerto Rico. Zorilla has fought in the U.S. once before and most recently stopped Juan Valdez in the third round in June.
