LOS ANGELES – Following the successful debut of the Monster Energy Bellator MMA Fight Series at the Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race in May, the series returns for its second event on Subota, Kolovoz 19 next to Bristol Motor Speedway, located at the Earhart Campground, in Bristol, Tennessee.

Prior to the start of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, the Monster Energy Bellator MMA Fight Series will feature exciting MMA action throughout Subota afternoon from 4–5:30 poslije podne. I. Admission to the event is free to fans.

SANTA MONICA (Ožujak 2, 2016) –Bellator MMA is pleased to announce that one of the most popular, recognizable and beloved fighters in the sport of mixed martial arts, Wanderlei "The Axe Ubojica" Silva (35-12-1), potpisao je ekskluzivnu višegodišnju, multi-fight contract with the promotion. His wars with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Tito Ortiz, Mirko Cro Cop, Vitor Belfort, Dan Henderson, Kazushi Sakuraba, Chuck Liddell, and Michael Bisping are the stuff of legend – but Silva is far from ready to close the book on his illustrious career.

 

In addition to his Pride FC Middleweight World Championship, Silva’s packed trophy case of accolades includes awards for Fight of the Year (2003, 2004, 2007), KO godine (2008), and multiple Fight of the Night awards including one for each of his last three fights, samo da nabrojim nekoliko. U zemlji nekoć populariziranoj u Tomu Greenu (sjetite ga se?) pjesma – “Usamljeni švedski (Pjesma Bum Bum)” – Ultimate Fighting Championship donosi karticu Fight Night koja će nadam se donijeti više pažnje od pjesme o kanadskom dupetu.

Prva FOX kartica u novoj godini, UFC Fight Night: Švedska, donosi nacionalnu pozornicu FOX-a u inozemstvo i daje Americi uvid u neprekidno širenje UFC-a u inozemstvo. Ali za razliku od prethodnih UFC-ovih inozemnih karata, ovaj nije kratak snagom zvijezda. Da vidimo je li jasan br. 1 pojavit će se kandidat za titulu poluteške kategorije Jona Jonesa.

Akira Corassani (16-4-1) vs. Sam Sicilia (13-5) (Perolaka kategorija - 145 lbs.)

Očekujem da će Davis pokušati rano odvesti ovu borbu na zemlju, i ako uspije, mislim da može iskoristiti prednost dosega i atletičnost da zadrži Bader. Dan “Hendo” Henderson (30-12) vs. Gegard Mousasi (35-5-2) (Srednja kategorija - 185 lbs.)

Henderson se vraća u srednju kategoriju nakon uglavnom nezgodne vožnje u poluteškoj kategoriji, uključujući i bacanje okolo poput krpene lutke i predavanje od strane Daniel Cormier u svojoj posljednjoj borbi. Jednostavno rečeno, ako Henderson ne može spustiti svoju patentiranu desnu ruku "H-Bomb" za nokaut, lako je podložan porazu.
