Three-time world champion Cristian “Diamente” Mijares (55-8-2, 26 KO) and former super flyweight titlist Tomas “Gusano” Rojas (48-14-1, 32 KO) squared off in the 10-round main event in a showdown between a pair of veteran Mexican featherweights.
Undefeated Mexican bantamweight prospect Aaron “Ghost” Alameda (18-0, 10 KO) stepped up in class to fight battle-tested Edgar “Pushtet” Jimenez (22-12-2, 16 KO), of Mexico, in the eight-round co-feature.

Three-time world champion Cristian “Diamente” Mijares (55-8-2, 26 KO) and former super flyweight titlist Tomas “Gusano” Rojas (48-14-1, 32 KO) squared off in the 10-round main event in a showdown between a pair of veteran Mexican featherweights.
Mijares vs. Rojas was a rematch of their March 12, 2004 fight in Mexico, in which Mijares won a 12-round unanimous decision for the Mexico super flyweight championship. They had a combined pro record of 103-22-3 (58 KO), along with four world titles in two divisions, upon entering the ring last Saturday evening.
The reigning World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight champion, Mijares is rated No. 4 and positioned for another world title shot with a victory over Rojas. Mijares is a three-time world super flyweight champion who is 11-5 në luftën botërore titull.
The 35-year-old boxer has defeated a Who’s Who of lower weight division boxers during his decade-plus professional career, duke përfshirë Reynaldo Lopez, Jorge Arce,Chatchai Sasakul, Francisco Arce, Juan Alberto Rosas, Jonathan Perez,Alexander Valdez, Rafael Marquez, Johnny Soto, Teppei Kikui, Jose Navarro,Alexander Munoz dhe Katsushige Kawashima.

Mexico’s 3-time world super flyweight champion Cristian “El Diamante” Mijares (53-8-2, 26 KO) took on his fellow countryman, pamposhtur Andres “Jaguarito” Gutierrez (34-0-1, 24 KO), in the 12-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Featherweight Championship. The outcome was controversial and now American viewers can be the judge.
WBC top 10 rated Mijares (foto në të majtë), 34, is a former IBF, WBA Super and WBC super flyweight world champion. The future Hall of Fame candidate is 11-5 in world title fights with key victories over Chatchai Sasakul,Jorge Arce dhe Katsushige Kawashima (dy herë).

Also airing is a scheduled 8-round showdown between dangerous Mexican and Filipino rivals, Edgar “Pushtet” Jimenez (21-11-2, 15 KO) dhe Jovylito “J-Flash” Aligarbes (12-3, 6 KO). The 23-year-old Jimenez is a former FECARBOX bantamweight and Mexican flyweight champion who, two fights ago, took a 10-round decision from 28-0 Ivan Morales. The highlight of Aligarbes’ pro career to date is stopping Angelito Merin in the second round of their WBC Youth World super flyweight title fight in 2013.
