NEW YORK - Oktober 27, 2017 – TS-1 Promotions announced today that it will bring the Combate Americas live Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) television series to the state of Texas for the first time ever with a stacked, 12-bout event at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio on Freitag, Dezember. 1.

“TS-1 Promotions is thrilled to debut the incredibly fast-growing Combate Americas live television event series in the great state of Texas,” said TS-1 Promotions CEO Greg Bloom. “We are going to deliver to fans a memorable night of MMA action featuring some of the fastest rising stars in the sport, including several of San Antonio’s hottest, young prospects.”

In the women’s atomweight (105 Pfund) main event and long-awaited grudge match, Eddie Bravo protégé Kyra "Mogwai" Batara (6-4) wird Platz ab mit Paulina „Firefox“ Granados (4-2).

Kyra Batara vs. Paulina Granados
The 23-year-old Batara of Las Vegas, Nev., a former high school cheerleader turned grappling expert, is coming off a stellar, zweite Runde (3:46) submission of 12-time Spanish national judo champion Vanesa Rico at “Combate Clasico” in Miami, Fla. auf Juli 27.

Miteinander ausgehen, Batara is unbeaten in Combate Americas television action, winning all four of her bouts – three by way of submission.

Granados is a 29-year-old native of Corpus Christi, Texas, now fighting out of San Diego, Calif. where she trains with a handful of the world’s top fighters.

Andres Quintana vs. Rey Trujillo

Quintana is a heavy-handed, 26-year-old rising star fighting out of Roswell, N.m. Former MMA world champion becomes the first Mexican American woman In history to lead matchmaking efforts for a combat sports franchise

NEW YORK - Juli 13, 2017 – Combate Americas has named retired, former women’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Weltmeister Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc, a Fight Director for the Hispanic sports and media franchise.

The appointment makes Rivera-Calanoc the first Mexican American woman in history to be charged with leading recruitment and matchmaking efforts for a combat sports organization.

Mit Sitz in Las Vegas, Nev., Rivera-Calanoc, a training partner of former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Weltmeister Miesha Tate, will be responsible for managing the rapidly expanding field of women athletes that compete for the Combate Americas live television event series, both in the U.S., and internationally in Latin America.

She will also participate in the recruiting and matchmaking processes for the Combate Americas men’s division.

A 10-year veteran of professional MMA competition, Rivera-Calanoc was ranked amongst the top 10 fighters in the world in three different weight classes – flyweight (125 Pfund), strawweight (115 Pfund) and atomweight (105 Pfund) – at three different points in her career.

August 23, 2008, Rivera-Calanoc was crowned a world champion after defeating Shawn Tamaribuchi by way of unanimous decision in a flyweight contest in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Born in Chihuahua, Mexiko, Rivera-Calanoc immigrated to the U.S. im Alter von 5 with her family, and was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She returned to her roots in Chihuahua annually until her latter teenage years.

In bantamweight action, the red-hot Marcelo "Pitbull" Red (11-4) aims for his fourth consecutive win and second straight inside La Jaula following his blistering, technical knockout win over Ivan Hernandez “Brasil” Flores at Combate 12 last March in Tijuana, Mexiko.

The 29-year-old Argentinian will be paired off against Puerto Rican sensation Billy Molina (5-3), 30, making his Combate Americas debut after last month’s return to action in Bayamon.
