CHELYABINSK, Rossiya (May 30, 2018) – Greece-born flyweight Chris “The Greek Kelades” Kelades (12-3-0, M-1: 1-0-0), fighting out of Dartmouth, Kanada, takes on Ukrainian fighter Alexander Pletenko (13-4-0, M;1: 0-0-0) this Friday night on the M-1 Challenge 93 asosiy karta, Chelyabinskda, Rossiya.

It’s been more than a half- year since your M-1 Global debut. Why did you take such a long break?

CK: “It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. Shunday, I’ve been ready to fight, but circumstances have changed the dates. I’m excited for this fight and looking forward to fighting in Chelyabinsk. In your M-1 Global debut, you have been very cautious during the first two rounds, but in the third round you got a submission. Is it your real fighting style or did you just wanted to win the debut fight without taking risks?

What can you say about your next opponent, Alexander Pletenko? You have similar records. Does it mean you have similar fighting styles?

CK: “I’ve seen some of his fights and I don’t think we have similar styles. I’ve been fighting the best guys in the world and at a certain level it’s more difficult to finish fights.”

Before joining M-1 Global you had never fought anywhere except North America. What does it feel like to fight half a world away from your home?

CH: “I really enjoyed myself the last time in my debut with M-1 Global. The travel is a little bit of a hassle with the distance, but I really enjoy fighting internationally and here in Russia. I like fighting away because I enjoy having to prove myself to other fighters and the fans. Bu meni undaydi!”

“I did not suffer any injuries,” Buchinger reflected on his loss to Dalgiev. “Physically I felt good, but I was extremely disappointed because my opponent was so lucky to deliver a nice punch. It was just a lucky punch that knocked me out. Everything went as planned up until that moment, when I made a single fatal mistake. He was lucky that night, bit I don’t want to belittle Khamzat’s skills. He’s an excellent fighter and a great person.

“Would I win a rematch? I don’t want to make any predictions but, if we fight for the second time, we will see who is going to be the winner. But I am sure that I am a better fighter than him. Real champions do not care about who they fight, so I will fight any opponent to get my belt back. Everybody knows who the true champion is, shunday, as soon as I have an opportunity to win the title, I’ll do it.”

The road back to the top for Buchinger will not be easy. Uning raqibi, Krasnikov (14-3-0, M-1: 0-0-0), plans to make a big splash in his first M-1 Global competition, positioning himself for a future M-1 Challenge title shot. Ingushetiya, Rossiya (Noyabr 25, 2017) — Russian challenge Khamzat Dalgievended the three-year plus reign of John “Bu” Bunchinger as M-1 Challenge featherweight champion, knocking the Slovakian in the opening round in last night’s M-1 Challenge 86: Battle of the Narts” asosiy voqea, Ingushetiya, Rossiya.

M-1 Challenge 86 showcased MMA fighters from a dozen different countries: Rossiya, AQSH, Slovakiya, Finland, Kanada, Frantsiya, Braziliya, Qirg'iziston, O'zbekiston, Ukraina, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Buchinger (32-6-0, M-1: 7-2-0) originally captured his M-1 Challenge featherweight title more than three years ago, u qoqib Tural Nizomiy in the fourth round of their M-1 Challenge 52 Night of Fight, also held in Ingushetia. Rossiya Mixail Ragozin (9-3-0), M-1: 2-1-0) knocked out American Yusuf “Leonidas” Henle (10-3-1, M-1: 1-1-0), who made his M-1 Global debut, on punches in the third round of the co-featured event that was contested at a 196-pound catchweight.

Finnish lightweight Aleksi Mantykivi (11-4-0, M-1: 1-0-0) and Canadian bantamweightChris “The Greek Assassin” Kelades (12-3-0, M-1: 1-0-0) both made strong statements against their Russian opponents in their M-1 Global debuts with submission victories. Mantykivi used a Guillotine choke to defeat Bashier Gagiev (5-3-0, M-1: 2-1-0), Rossiya, Ikkinchi turda, while Kelades employed a Kimura for his win over Russian Oleg Lichkovakha (8-2-0, M-1: 1-1-0) in the third frame.

Ivan Buchinger (R) has been the M-1 Challenge featherweight champion for 3 yil

Sankt-Peterburg, Rossiya (Noyabr 20, 2017) – M-1 Global holds one of its final events of the year Juma kuni tun, featuring M-1 Challenge featherweight champion John “Bu” Buchinger in his title defense against challenger Khamzat Dalgiev in the M-1 Challenge 86: Battle of the Narts in Ingushetia, Rossiya.

M-1 Challenge 86 will showcase MMA fighters from 12 different countries: Rossiya, AQSH, Slovakiya, Finland, Kanada, Frantsiya, Braziliya, Qirg'iziston, O'zbekiston, Ukraina, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Buchinger (32-5-0, M-1: 7-1-0), Slovakiya chiqib jang, captured his M-1 Challenge featherweight title more than three years ago, u qoqib Tural Nizomiy in the fourth round of their M-1 Challenge 52 Night of Fight, also held in Ingushetia. Co-xususiyatli taqdirda, to be contested at a 196-pound catch-weight, Russian favorite Mixail Ragozin (8-3-0, M-1: 2-1-0) takes on debuting M-1 Global American, Yusuf “Leonidas” Henle (10-2-1, M-1: 0-0-0).

Also scheduled to fight on the M-1 Challenge 86 main card are Finnish lightweight Aleksi Mantykivi (10-4-0, M-1: 0-0-0) va boshqalar.
