“Estamos a menos de tres semanas ahora, y cada semana me siento mas fuerte y mas lista para mayo 1. He estado entrenando con un grupo de luchadores locales de Arizona que me están ayudando a prepararme.. La parte más difícil está por venir, pero solo me estoy enfocando en el plan de juego y ejecutando el mismo programa que funcionó en el pasado.
“Es genial ser parte de este evento y mostrarle a la afición la mentalidad de guerrero que tenemos los boxeadores mexicanos y mexicoamericanos.. No puedo esperar para hacer un gran espectáculo.! Me motiva mostrar nuestro estilo de guerrero y me hace esforzarme al máximo para dar lo mejor de mí en la noche de la pelea..
“Aprendí mucho al enfrentar a Yordenis Ugas. Regresé y vi esa pelea., y vi algunas cosas que puedo mejorar. Sirve como motivacion, pero también me mostró que pertenezco allí con los mejores de la división. No siento que haya sido una pérdida total porque aprendí de ello.. Pero en esta lucha, Voy a mostrar todas las mejoras que he hecho desde la pelea de Ugas..
“Vi la pelea de Figueroa contra Ugas. Pero los estilos hacen las peleas y creo que mi pelea contra Figueroa va a ser diferente a la que tuvieron Figueroa y Ugas. Espero mucha más acción cuando me enfrente a Omar..
“La mayor parte del plan de juego se está preparando para que Figueroa se presente. Estamos recibiendo sparrings que imitan lo que hace Figueroa. He estado entrenando con mi tío Abel., Jorge Cota y algunos otros luchadores locales de Arizona.
“Creo que Molina tiene mucha experiencia, que sé que intentará usar en mi contra. Es un luchador con buena velocidad.. Pero cuando peleó con José Pedraza, luchó contra un zurdo. Así, Podría causarle algunos problemas allí., pero también soy más grande que Pedraza. Soy un peso welter legítimo.

“I’ve been giving it my all in training, but we’re going to keep working. I’m excited for May 1 because this is definitely going to be a rock ‘em sock ‘em type of fight.”
“I know Andy is looking strong and that’s going to make this a great fight. This is a fight people should be talking about. There’s more work to be done, but I’ll be ready to shock the world on May 1.
“It wasn’t so much the punch output that improved for me in the Adam Kownacki fight, but it’s the fact that I could throw combos when I wanted to. “We’ve been training for months now. Chris has been very dedicated and honing his skills getting ready for May 1. Both guys want to win. The pressure is on both guys to work hard for that. BROOKLYN (Agosto 4, 2019) – Unbeaten Polish star and Brooklyn nativeAdam Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs) earned a unanimous decision overChris “La pesadilla” Arreola (38-6-1, 33 KOs) in an all-action brawl in front of his hometown fans that headlined FOX PBC Fight Night main event and on FOX Deportes Saturday night from Barclays Center, la casa de BROOKLYN BOXEO ™.
Kownacki and Arreola set the CompuBox heavyweight record for combined punches landed and thrown in a heavyweight fight. They landed a combined 667 golpes, besting the previous record of 650, while throwing 2,172 golpes, far surpassing the previous mark of 1,730.

The action began right from the first bell, as Kownacki charged at Arreola and immediately began exchanging as both men threw power punches in bunches. Kownacki worked off of his jab to initiate his offense, while Arreola was effectively able to counter his hard-charging opponent and respond every time he was hit with a combination.
“I thought it was a good close fight but I knew I pulled it out,” dijo Kownacki. “I landed a lot of shots and that was enough to win. That’s all that matters.”
Kownacki stunned Arreola in the early moments of round two but Arreola quickly responded to slow Kownacki’s momentum. Arreola found more and more success with his overhand right as the fight went, landing the punch numerous times in the fourth and fifth round especially.
Round six was a back and forth affair that featured a big offensive surge from Kownacki early in the round, before an exciting exchange at the end of the round saw both men take heavy punches.
“I tried to follow up when I had him hurt but I was throwing two punches instead of three or four,” dijo Kownacki. “Props to Arreola because he proved he could still hang. I’m sure the fans would want to see him again.”
The middle rounds saw Arreola pick up a hand injury, but it didn’t appear to slow him down much as his punch output continued to be strong for the second half of the fight. For Kownacki, it was his first time going past 10 rounds as a pro.
After the punches continued to fly through the last bell, the two heavyweights embraced in the ring prior to hearing the judges’ puntuaciones. Después 12 rondas, all three judges saw the fight in favor of Kownacki, por las cuentas de 117-11 dos veces y 118-110.

Montreal’s Pascal was looking to finish Browne in round eight, while Browne looked to effectively navigate the ring while recovering from the previous round. It was midway through the round that Pascal hit Browne with an accidental headbutt on the ropes that opened a cut over Browne’s left eye.
Referee Gary Rosato halted the bout 1:49 en la ronda, on the advice of the ringside physician, meaning the fight went to the scorecards. By winning the shortened eighth round on all three judges’ tarjetas, Pascal won the fight by the score of 75-74 tres veces.
“I could hear my daughter ringside and that was motivation for me,” dijo Pascal. “She was yelling my name all night long. I’m going to go home and talk to my team to see what is next. Canada has Drake, the NBA Champions and now I’m bringing the belt home.”
Browne was unavailable for post fight comments as he was taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center due to the cut.
The opening bout on FOX sawWale Omotoso (28-4, 22 KOs) dropCurtis Stevens(30-7, 22 KOs) three times on his way to a third round stoppage victory in their super welterweight clash.
For Stevens it was his first fight at 154-pounds, and he was tested at the new weight from the outset. Omotoso began moving and jabbing around the ring as Stevens stalked him and tried to throw power punches to slow his movement. Late in the first round, Omotoso broke through with a right hand to the side of Stevens’ head that dropped him in the middle of the ring.
“My coach told me to keep my hands up, be patient, box him and jab,” said Omotoso. “He told me I shouldn’t push it and that when the opening was there, Lo tomaría. That’s exactly what happened.”
“He hit me with an overhand right in the first round that knocked my equilibrium,” said Stevens. “But that didn’t really affect me too much. I wasn’t stepping enough into my punches, I was reaching. I got caught when I was reaching.”
In round two Omotoso landed a perfect jab on Stevens, as his opponent was throwing a left hook, that sent him down for the second time in the fight. Stevens again made it through the round, and began the next frame trapping Omotoso in the corner and connecting on power punches.
“I was just letting my hands go,” said Omotoso. “On the second knockdown my confidence grew. I was glad to get the victory by knockout.”
While Stevens was able to own the early moments of the third round, Omotoso hit him with a three punch combo that featured left hook, left uppercut and then straight right hand that put Stevens down for the third time. Stevens got to his feet but referee Johnny Callas halted the bout at 1:28 de la tercera ronda.
“I was okay but the referee has to do his job,” said Stevens. “I was down three times so I know he was looking out for my best interests.”

“No matter what has happened in my career, I have always come back. I’m mentally always ready to bounce back. I’ve had layoffs in my career, but I know that I’m going to get where I need to be.
“Nobody calls me out because they know I can punch. I’m too risky for the top fighters because they know there’s a chance they get knocked out.
“It’s incredible to have this opportunity to fight at Barclays Center for the first time. It’s going to be a good time for me and all the fans.”

ARLINGTON, TX. (Marzo 17, 2019) – Errol Spence Jr. retained his IBF Welterweight World Championship in his hometown in front of 47,525 fans with a unanimous decision over four-division world championMikey Garcíain the main event of the first Premier Boxing Champions on FOX Sports Pay-Per-View event Saturday night from AT&T Stadium de Arlington, Texas.
“The motivation fighting in front of my hometown crowd made me feel great,” dijo Spence. “These people have supported me since day one and I wanted to put on a good performance for all of them.”

From the opening bell Love sought to crowd the taller Benavidez, but the 22-year-old Benavidez quickly made him pay, landing a powerful left hook that stunned Love. Love was able to last the round, but took more powerful hooks from Benavidez before the bell.
“I expected to knock him out, but when I hit him with the first god shot, I knew he wasn’t going to last,” Said Benavidez. “I tried to pace myself, but it wasn’t necessary tonight.”
Benavidez wasted little time in the second round, delivering power shots that put Love on the run. Benavidez caught Love with a clean combo on the ropes that stunned Love and forced referee Laurence Cole to jump in and stop the bout 1:14 en la segunda ronda, as Benavidez began to throw furious combos.

Nery stalked Arroyo from the opening bell, throwing big power shots that forced his opponent to fight off his back foot. Con 45 seconds left in round two, Nery scored his first knockdown with a left that stunned him and follow-up combination that put Arroyo on the canvas.
Arroyo was unable to keep the hard-charging Nery from coming forward and again hit the mat late in round three, as a wide left hook hurt Arroyo before he was put down from a flurry that followed. “I never felt like I was dazed or anything, they were just hard punches,” said Arroyo. “I went down but got right back up. If it were up to me I’d have kept going. I have to give respect to my opponent for his performance. This isn’t the end of my career. I’ve seen him fight before but I was surprised by his power. It was his night tonight.”

After blood started pouring from Arreola’s nose towards the end of round two, the Riverside, California-native got off to a quick start in round three, connecting with a straight left that stunned Augustin and nearly sent him to the canvas in the opening seconds.
