Spinks (31-1, 21 കാസ്) received the prestigious Integrity Award, while Vanderpool (26-8-4, 13 കാസ്) was presented the coveted Courage Award.

Rochester’s Johnny McCoy (Clarence Millard) was inducted into the Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame. McCoy (77-30-14, 21 കാസ്), അന്തരിച്ചു ആർ 1978 വയസ്സിൽ 81, was one of the top flyweights in the world between 1916 ഒപ്പം 1932. He was recognized as world champion by the state of California following a tournament to determine the winner of the vacant world title relinquished by Fidel LaBarba.

I said then that we are truly a family of boxing; it’s a real brotherhood. I also talked about how boxing tied into lire. I’m truly honored to be inducted into the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame. In honor of my father and everybody else who loves this sport.
