LAS VEGAS (Mars 9, 2022) – Que de temps, voyage étrange que ce fut pour l'espoir turc des super-moyens Cem "Champ" Kilic, partie d'une croissance 3 Gestion des points (3 PM) stable, se réinstaller en Californie depuis l'Allemagne malgré la pandémie, en tête d’affiche des « Hollywood Fight Nights » de ce jeudi soir, présenté par 360 Promotions, au Quiet Cannon Country Club à Montebello, Californie.

Kilic, 27 ans, affronte Andrew "Hurricane" Hernandez (21-8-2, 9 KOs) dans l'événement principal de 8 rondes, qui sera diffusé en direct et exclusivement sur UFC FIGHT PASS®.


Membre de l'équipe nationale turque de boxe, Kilic a déménagé il y a huit ans de l'Allemagne à Sherman Oaks, Californie, où il réside toujours. Originaire d'Allemagne dont la famille vient de Turquie, Kilic a fait preuve d'un immense courage simplement en déménageant à l'autre bout du monde avec un simple $200 dans ses poches, ainsi que l'incapacité de parler anglais autre que quelques mots.


"Je passe encore beaucoup de temps à la maison," a fait remarquer Kilic. « Pendant la pandémie, J'ai vécu avec ma famille en Allemagne, et j'ai beaucoup de famille en Turquie. C'était très dur de grandir. J'avais toujours rêvé de vivre aux États-Unis en regardant des films. Je voulais faire quelque chose de différent. Je suis un grand fan des films hollywoodiens. Muhammad Ali est mon idole et c'est une autre raison pour laquelle je voulais venir ici pour boxer.


"Je ne parlais pas anglais quand je suis arrivé en Amérique, seulement les bases, et personne que j'ai rencontré ici ne parlait allemand ou turc. mais j'ai appris l'anglais en regardant de vieux films et en utilisant le traducteur Google. j'ai appris vite, bien que, et était à l'aise de parler anglais en six mois. Et maintenant, je vis à seulement 10 minutes d'Hollywood.


Kilic a touché le fond après avoir subi sa première défaite en janvier 11, 2020, à 15-0 Steve Nelson à Atlantic City, dans lequel son coin a jeté l'éponge au milieu du huitième tour en raison de plusieurs coupures au visage. Mais je me suis lentement remis en forme et cela a ravivé mon intérêt pour la boxe. Je n'avais pas de promoteur et je me suis séparé de mon manager et entraîneur. J'ai été formé par un ami et je suis allé chez Abel Sanchez à Big Bear et j'ai obtenu du bon travail. J'ai combattu beaucoup de champions: Jermell Charlo, (Gilberto) 'Gaucher' Ramirez, Callum Smith, et David Benavidez.

Un combattant agressif autoproclamé avec une mentalité de guerrier, Kilic dit que feu Arturo Gatti était l'un de ses combattants préférés, qu'il imite en termes de style. Cem a regardé le Gatti-(Mickey) Trilogie Ward sur 20 fois, qui l'a conduit à la boxe comme carrière.

"Je connaissais Gatti, mais je me suis vraiment mis à la boxe après avoir regardé ses combats avec Micky Ward,» se souvient affectueusement Kilic. "Ils étaient si durs, et j'aime la façon dont ils se sont battus. Ils étaient des combattants de retour dans les années 40 et 50. »

"Je connaissais Brian et je l'ai rencontré à Brickhouse,” Kilic a expliqué. "Un jour, j'ai dit à mon entraîneur de force et de conditionnement physique que j'avais besoin d'un nouvel entraîneur et je lui ai demandé de parler de moi à Brian.. J'aimais Brian et je savais qu'il était un champion du monde avec beaucoup de connaissances. Nous n'avons travaillé ensemble que pour un combat, mais je me suis amélioré à bien des égards.


"J'attendais une opportunité de signer avec un manager et je l'ai fait avec 15h. Les gars sont super et je suis beaucoup plus motivé qu'avant. C'était incroyable.


Kilic est prêt à afficher son développement sous Viloria et 15 heures ce jeudi soir contre Hernandez. "Je ne peux pas attendre," a conclu Kilic. "Il a combattu quelques bons noms (Caleb usine, Jesse Hart, Ali Akhmedov, Ahmed Elbiali, Patrick Teixeira, et Arif Magomedov). Je me prépare toujours à parcourir toute la distance. Je n'entre jamais dans un combat à la recherche d'un KO, mais je cherche des ouvertures.”


Cem "Champ" Kilic vit vraiment le rêve américain, surtout à cause du soutien qu'il a des nouveaux membres de son équipe.

Beverly Hills, Californie. (Juin 5, 2019) – Invaincu super-moyens Cem Kilic will look to take another step towards the world rankings when he takes on Martez McGregor on Saturday, June 15th at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas.


The fight will be part of the Tyson Fury – Tom Schwarz undercard.

Kilic trains in Los Angeles under Buddy McGirt and won silver at the 2012 European Championships for Turkey. ‘Bravo’ Brant Stops Fitzpatrick in Three, Continues March to Middleweight Title Shot
Current WBO NABO and WBA NABA Middleweight Champion and WBA #4- and WBO #7-rated middleweight Rob “Bravo” Brant (21-0, 14 KOs) de Saint Paul, Minnesota, kept his momentum plowing forward and continued to impress tonight with a one-sided beatdown of Chris “Le fantôme irlandais” Fitzpatrick (15-5, 6 KOs) de Cleveland.

To start the televised bouts, Baltimore, Maryland welterweight Malik “Ice Man” Hawkins had to work all four rounds to move his record to 9-0, 7 KOs against a surprisingly determined Sean “The Beast of War” Eh bien (3-4) de Portland, Oregon.

By the fourth round even the crowd was exhausted, as Davis landed a barrage of unanswered shots that finished things at the :39 seconds mark of round four.
Local super flyweight product Danny Andujo (1-0, 1 KO) turned professional with a quick stoppage of San Jose’s Israel Hernandez, maintenant 1-3-1, 1 KO.
Andujo swarmed, landing hard shots against the outgunned Hernandez, who took the 10 count at :55 de la première ronde.

25-year-old Brant has already won two fights this year. En avril, he took care of Arkansas veteran Delray Raines in less than a round and in January, he scored a nationally televised “Knockout de l'année” candidate against formidable contender DeCarlo Perez. The victory put Brant on the radar of the boxing world.
29-year-old Fitzpatrick went undefeated in his first 15 fights and only suffered setbacks against some of the world’s top middleweights, including world champion Daniel Jacobs. “Le fantôme irlandais” is never in a bad fight and will test any would-be contender’s true mettle.
Promoter Greg Cohen says he’s excited to be bringing his popular televised boxing series to California.
