Kazachstan-native Nemkov (24-6-0, M-1: 17-5-0), fighting out of Stary Oskol, Rusland, won a three-round unanimous decision from former Bellator champion Attila “Uitschakelen” Vegh(29-8-2, M-1: 0-2-0), Slowakije, in het main event.

New M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Alexander Butenko
BAKU, Azerbeidzjan (Juni 5, 2016) — Ukrainian fighter Alexander Butenko won a hard fought 5-round decision over Artiom Damkovsky last night to become the new M-1 Challenge lightweight champion in the M-1 Challenge 67 main event in Baku, Azerbeidzjan.
Butenko (41-11-2) and Damkovsky (20-10-0) battled from start to finish with Buntenko winning a unanimous decision to capture the vacant M-1 Challenge lightweight title.
In de co-functie, M-1 Challenge kampioen vedergewicht John “Dit is de” Buchinger (31-4-0), Slowakije, used a North-South choke to submit his late replacement opponent, Russisch Mikhail Korobkov (9-2-0), in een niet-titelgevecht.

PETERSBURG, Rusland (Juni 1, 2016) – A sudden illness has forced Magomed Idrisov to withdraw from his scheduled M-1 Challenge featherweight title fight deze zaterdag (Juni 4) against defending champion John “Dit is de” Buchinger bij M-1 Challenge 67: Battle in the Land of Fireat Baku, Azerbeidzjan.

Mikhail Korobkov (9-1-1, M-1: 0-1-1), van Rusland, is the late replacement for Idrisov but, due to Korobkov coming off of a loss in his last fight (decision to oosten Nagibin last Friday atM-1 Challenge 66), his fight versus Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0) is a not for the title and it has been downgraded from main event to co-feature. Buchinger, uitvechten van Slowakije, has won his last nine fights dating back four years.

Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), fighting out of his native Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title 1-½ years ago at M-1 Challenge 52, stoppen Rele Nizami (zie onderstaande afbeelding) in the fourth round on punches. His lone title defense last October was a decision win over current M-1 Challenge lightweight championMansour Barnaoui bij M-1 Challenge 62. Undefeated in his last nine fights, dating back four years, Buchinger is 5-0 in M-1 Global concurrentie.
Fighting out of Russia, Idrisov (6-0-0, M-1: 3-0-0) is the European Wu-Sanda champion. He has three wins in M-1 Global fights, including a pair of notable decisions over Max Coga afgelopen mei op M-1 Challenge 57, and in his last fight this past December against Sergei Grecicho (zie onderstaande afbeelding) bij M-1 Challenge 61.
Rakhmonov vs. Pereira is a classic clash between young and old, Combat Sambo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu specialists.
The 21-year-old Rakhmonov (5-0-0, M-1: 3-0-0) was a decorated MMA amateur who has won two Submission of the Night honors in only three M-1 Global events againstMichal Wienek last July at M-1 Challenge 59, and versus Adam Tsurpov (hieronder afgebeeld) Oktober 17, 2014 in Rakhmonov’s professional debut.
