This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, Psychic Tom and Rabble Rousin’ Rich start off with a great interview with pro boxer Anthony Laureano. The Connecticut professional boxer is coming off a big win on the undercard of the Joe Smith Jr. fight at the end of June. We also recap last week’s boxing and MMA action, highlighted by Daniel Cormier’s monumental win over Stipe Miocic to become the first two belt holder in the UFC since McGregor. Tony joins the broadcast after the Laureano interview to give his take on Brock’s return to the UFC after going back to the WWE at the end of his first UFC stint. We also touch upon the Danny O’Connor fight being called off due to severe dehydration suffered by O’Connor. Fine, we preview upcoming events and briefly discuss a rumored rematch between Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis.

Rich Bergeron opens this week’s FNU Combat Sports show by giving his unique take on the Demetrious “Potenca Muso” Johnson feud with the UFC brass, namely Dana White. Upon refusing to take a fight with T.J. Dillashaw without getting certain assurances and conditions met, many fans on social media insisted DJ was running scared. Even Dillashaw took the opportunity to blast the move by the flyweight champ as “chickenshit.” Dana White even reportedly threatened to shut down the entire flyweight division if Johnson refused to fight TJ. “Potenca Muso” didn’t blink and didn’t cave to the organization’s demands, and Rich explains in his opening dialogue why DJ should be respected and given the benefit of the doubt for his decision rather than being criticized and dragged through the mud for standing up for himself.

During the rest of the broadcast, Tony “La Tornado” Penecale details his night out at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia for a fight card headlined by Hank Lundy. He also recaps Fonfara vs. Stevenson II and calls the fight “a disgrace.”

“Metapsikia” Tom Padgett chips in with some post-fight analysis of Aldo vs. Holloway. He also predicts Mark Hunt will benefit from home cage advantage in his battle with Derrick Lewis this weekend at UFC Fight Night 110 in New Zealand.

LASa VEGAS (#A?gusto 29, 2016) – World Series of Fighting (www.WSOF.com) announced today that it has bolstered its roster of world-class athletes yet again with the signing of lightweight (155 Funtoj) star and former La Finfina Batalanto competition reality television series runner-up Ramsey Nijem (9-6), al ekskluziva, multi-fight promotional agreement with the world championship Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) league.

Fighting out of Orem, Utah, La 5-piedo-11, 28-year-old Nijem, a member of superstar Gilbert Melendez’s Skrap Pack fight team, will make his debut under the World Series of Fighting banner on a date to be announced soon.

“We have been aggressively pursuing some of the best available fight talent on the market and as a phenomenal and established competitor, Ramsey Nijem should make an exciting addition to our stacked, 155-pound division,"Diris Monda Serio de Batalado Prezidanto Patro Chiefs.

Nijem defeated three straight adversaries – two by way of submission and one via TKO – to finish as runner-up on La Finfina Batalanto: Team Lesnar vs. Team dos Santos Je 2011, while competing at welterweight (170 Funtoj) as a member of UFC superstar Junior Dos Santos’ seven-man fight team that opposed a squad captained by WWE icon and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.

Nijem began his successful run on the reality television show with a second round (3:31) submetiĝo (malantaŭ-nuda ĉokilo) De Charlie Rader, and followed up the victory with a quick, 56-second submission (malantaŭ-nuda ĉokilo) De Clay Harvison and a second round (1:49) TKO (Stampiloj) De Chris Cope, Respektive, to reach the show’s final round of competition where he was stopped with an onslaught of punches by Tony Ferguson en la unua raŭndo (3:54) of battle.
