BRISCOE AWARDS SET FOR THIS SUNDAY

Their photos capture the highs and lows of the sport we love, and it is important to acknowledge that.”
The Briscoe Awards commemorate the biggest and best accomplishments of the Philly-area boxing scene. פילדלפיה – After ten years of celebrating the biggest and best achievements of the Philadelphia-area boxing scene, the Briscoe Awards will change the timing of their annual event, from October to March.
“For a few years now, I’ve considered moving the awards up to the first part of the year,” said John DiSanto, founder of the Briscoe Awards. “The original Fall time slot caused a lot of confusion, because by the time we gave out the awards, the fights were old news. Moving to March will allow us to give out the awards shortly after the fight year ends. I’m a little nervous about making a change, but in the long run, the move will only make the Briscoe Awards better.”
The Briscoe Awards honor the key fights and fighters of the Philly area every year. Undefeated Super Flyweight Dylan “The Real Dyl” Price reflects on Briscoe Award and upcoming April 21st fight

פילדלפיה (מרץ 15, 2018)–It will be a busy few weeks for undefeated super flyweight prospect Dylan “The Real Dyl” מחיר.

JARON ENNIS IS THE ONE TO WATCH IN PHILLY

BRUNSON SETS RECORD WITH THREE BRISCOE AWARDS

פילדלפיה – PA State junior middleweight champion טיירון רונסון will be honored with three Briscoe Awards for the eventful year he had in 2017. During the year, Brunson’s efforts won him three bouts, two belts, and kept his career on track for a big fight in 2018. This will be the first time a fighter has won three Briscoes in a single year.

MARCEL RIVERS TO BE HONORED FOR BIGGEST KO OF THE YEAR

SPARROW BREAKS THROUGH WITH TWO BRISCOE AWARDS

TANEAL GOYCO TO WIN “UPSET OF THE YEAR” AT BRISCOE AWARDS

פילדלפיה – Philly super middleweight Taneal Goyco, returns to the Briscoe Awards for his second-ever trophy for the “Upset of the Year”. Goyco won the same award two years ago and repeats for 2016, with his shocker over rising Maryland prospect Jerry Odom.
The pair met on November 11, 2016, ב 2300 זירה בדרום פילדלפיה, and after a rocky start, Goyco punched his way back into the fight was declared the upset winner by TKO after five rounds.
