“As long as I beat Danny Garcia, I know that it puts me back to the top of this division. I’m here again and I’m doing it right this time. I want to make the most of this part of my career. I don’t want to ever wonder ”what if?'”

Garcia nimmt an Ex-Champion Brandon Rios in Weltergewicht WM-Titel-Eliminator Samstag, Februar 17 Live auf Showtime von Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas
PHILADELPHIA (Januar 31, 2018) – Philadelphia-native und Zwei-Teilung Weltmeister Danny “Schnell” Garcia hat in der Underdog Rolle mehrmals im Laufe einer Karriere gedeiht, die er besiegt eine ganze Reihe von Top-Meister gesehen haben. “Ich fühle mich wirklich gut geistig und körperlich jetzt. Mein Körper ist ausgeruht und bereit, einen großen haben 2018 beginnend Februar 17.

“Ich habe trainiert wirklich schwer, einen Vollgastank auf Kampf Nacht haben. Ich hätte blieb im Ruhestand, aber ich habe es noch in mir, und es gibt noch mehr kann ich aus diesem Sport bekommen. Ich liebe wirklich Box und ich bin begeistert, in einem großen Kampf, zurück zu sein wie diese.

“Ich habe bereit gewesen, eine der Top-Kämpfer zu kämpfen. Ich wartete und nahm mir Zeit, weil ich wusste, ich würde kämpfen, wer Schritt würde nach oben. Ich habe, was ich wollte, und jetzt ist es Zeit zu nutzen.”
DAVID BENAVIDEZ
“Ich habe eine Erklärung abgeben auf Februar 17. Ich verlasse Mandalay Bay mit dem Gürtel auf meiner Schulter. Ich muss den Knockout bekommen, und das ist, was ich suche zu tun.
“Es ist mein Traum, seit ich ein kleines Kind war Titel zu vereinigen und das ist, was ich arbeite in Richtung jetzt. Ich möchte eines der besten in der Geschichte der Gewichtsklasse sein, und ich arbeite sehr schwer zu erreichen, dass.
“Ich bin der jüngste Supermittelgewichts-Weltmeister in der Geschichte, und ich werde zeigen, Gavril warum. Ich bin extrem motiviert sogar besser aussehen als beim letzten Mal und bekommen den Knockout.
“Ich wuchs in der Zeit, wo jeder jeden gekämpft. Es gab so viel Energie und Aufregung mit jedem Kampf und das ist, was ich bin auf der Suche nach Fans bringen. Das wird ein großer Kampf sein, dass Sie nicht wollen, verpassen.
“Ich fühle mich wie ich den ersten Kampf klar gewonnen. Gavril denkt, er wird mich jetzt kommen und Knock-out, aber wenn er so viel Vertrauen, er soll, dass im ersten Kampf getan. Ich trainiere sehr hart jetzt in dorthin zu gehen und reißen ihn.
“Die Strategie dieses Kampfes wird ein wenig anders sein. Wir haben ein paar Dinge, die wir planen. Aber es wird noch ein Krieg sein, denn ich will ein Fan freundlich Kämpfer sein. Ich hoffe, die Show zu stehlen.
“Ich bin der Champion, damit ich fühle mich wie ich in der Lage bin, einige große Kämpfe in der nahen Zukunft zu machen. Ich mag den Gewinner des World Boxing Super Series 168-Pfund-Turniers. Ich fühle mich geehrt, in der gleichen Spalte wie die anderen Meister zu sein, und ich kann nicht mit ihnen in dem Ring zu bekommen warten.
“Ich habe nicht übersehen, Gavril das erste Mal. Ich wusste, dass er ein Kämpfer und er kam in hart und bereit zu kämpfen. Ich weiß, dass sein Stil jetzt so dass ich gehen werde arbeiten immer besser. Es gab eine Menge Dinge, die ich im ersten Kampf getan haben sollte. Ich werde Vorteil dieser Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.”

“Ich glaube nicht, dass er so gut war, wie die Leute sagten, er würde in unserem ersten Kampf. Er hatte keine wirklichen Kämpfer gekämpft, so sah man, was passiert ist, als er ging gegen eine.
“Ich bin wirklich glücklich, hier zu sein und für einen Rückkampf in dieser Position sein. Ich will David Benavidez für die Zustimmung zu kämpfen, mich danken. Ich dachte, dass ich den ersten Kampf gewonnen, damit ich wusste, wollte ich dies sofort. Ich verdienen diesen Rückkampf.
“Ich habe viel gelernt aus dem ersten Kampf. Ich weiß, was ich dieses Mal besser zu tun haben. Die Strategie wird angepasst, und ich werde noch härter im Lager arbeiten, bereit zu sein. Ich arbeite die besten auf sein ich kann mental und körperlich.
“Er ist ein junger Kämpfer, der immer noch eine Menge Dinge lernen muss,. Im Moment ist er die Champion, aber er muss bereit sein,. Das wird kein einfacher Kampf für ihn. Ich werde es in ihm schaden und den Kampf zu gewinnen.
“Ich kann viele Dinge tun, besser als im ersten Kampf. Ich beweisen, dass ich die Fähigkeiten im ersten Spiel habe, und jetzt werde ich verbessern den Sieg holen. Ich bin hier für einen Grund. Es ist kein einfacher Kampf für ihn sein würde.
“Ich denke nur über David Benavidez jetzt. Ich setze alles in diesem Rückkampf und bekommen den Gürtel. Wenn ich gewinne, der Rest wird für sich selbst sorgen.”

Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) was a unified world champion at super lightweight and welterweight and has fought and defeated many of the most formidable opponents in both divisions spanning two generations-Morales, Zab Judah, Kendall Holt, Amir Khan, Lucas Matthysse, Paulie Malignaggi and Lamont Peterson among them. Four of his five opponents in the welterweight division were world champions and 10 seiner letzten 14 opponents were world champions or former world champions.

Der 21-jährige Benavidez (19-0, 17 KOs) became the youngest reigning world champion in boxing and the youngest 168-pound champion in history at 20-years, nine months old when he scored a split decision against Gavril to win the super middleweight title on September 8. The bout featured multiple swings of momentum, thrilling exchanges and a wild 12th Runde. Benavidez and Gavril pushed each other to deliver the best performance of their respective careers thus far.
“I feel I won the fight,” said Gavril immediately after the decision. “I dominated the pace. I can’t say anything else… The only thing I can do is to ask for a rematch.”

Gavril (18-2, 14 KOs) rose rapidly through the ranks by scoring seven straight victories including four by knockout since 2015. The 31-year-old Gavril was born in Bacau, Romania and now lives and fights out of Las Vegas. He fought a brilliant match against Benavidez, seizing control in the middle rounds and even dropping the young contender in the 12th with less than a minute left in the fight. Letztlich, it wasn’t enough as Gavril lost on two of the three judges’ Scorecards.
“I can’t wait to get into the ring again and take that belt,” said Gavril. “I learned his game plan quickly during the first fight, I blocked it well then, and I plan to do the same again. He has fast hands and power, I won’t take that from him, but I am prepared for whatever plan he comes in the ring with. I know I have what it takes to win this time. Preparing for this fight the second time around has been different, training has been more intense, and my team is preparing me to take him out once and for all. I can’t let him win. Phönix, Arizona-based super middleweight phenom David “Die Rote Fahne” Benavidez spent some time behind the microphone last Sunday, while waiting eagerly for his potentially record-breaking world championship challenge.
Undefeated Benavidez (18-0, 17 KOs) did an admirable job serving as a Fox Sports 1 guest commentator for former champion Brand Rios’ exciting comeback victory over Aaron Herrera at the Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, Kalifornien.
Benavidez is coming off a star-making eight-punch combination KO 8 of fellow contender “Porky” Medina at the Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas.
The 20-year-old now waits for word on who he will face for the WBC Championship in his try to become the youngest super middleweight world champion in boxing history. Darrin Van Horn, wer war 22 Jahre, 8 months and 11 days old when he beat Lindell Holmes for the IBF super middleweight championship on May 18, 1991.

LANCASTER, SOWIE. (Juni 12, 2017) – Ex-Weltmeister Brandon Rios (34-3-1, 24 KOs) returned to the ring with a seventh round TKO of Mexico’s Aaron Herrera (23-7-1, 14 KOs) im Main Event von Premier Boxing Champions auf FS1 und FOX Sports Sonntagnight from The Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, Kalifornien.
“I had that good nervous feeling tonight, like before my pro debut,” said Rios. “I was a little jittery but it felt good in there.”
In his first fight in 19 Monate, Rios showed off his signature exciting style in breaking down the very game Herrera before stopping him late in their welterweight contest. Rios controlled the action from the outset as he showed off his strong inside game while tagging Herrera with hooks and uppercuts.
Herrera received a fair deal of punishment across the early rounds but remained competitive in consistently throwing back against the aggressive Rios, who was able to parry some of Herrera’s shots with effective head movement. Herrera had his best round in the fourth when he changed the tides momentarily by being more active than Rios.
“I’m always ready for whoever they put in front of me,” said Rios. “He was tough and he was swinging hard. I had to be careful and couldn’t go in there crazy. He caught me sometimes but that’s part of the sport.”
The shift did not last long as Rios ramped the pressure back up and began to slow Herrera down with increased body work. Herrera kept fighting back but was clearly tiring late in the sixth round as Rios teed off on him against the ropes with big power punches.
“Next time I get in there I’ll be better,” said Rios. “You’ll see more progress each time I get out there. I still have my same style but I’m adding some more athleticism and head movement to it. I felt like I did well in there.”
The attack continued in the seventh round as Rios stalked Herrera towards the ropes before eventually delivering the pinpoint right hook to the body that put Herrera on the mat. Herrera was unable to beat the count and Rios returned to the win column with a stoppage victory2:11 in die Runde.
“This is a new beginning and a new chapter in the book that I’m writing,” said Rios. “We’re ready to move forward from here. I’m ready for the next challenge.”
The co-main event of the telecast saw unbeaten Mario Barrios (19-0, 11 KOs) score a sensational knockout of Jose Luis Rodriguez (23-9-1, 13 KOs) with left hook to the body that ended their super lightweight battle in the seventh round.
“I knew that he was going to fight the whole time,” Said Barrios. “He was going to stay coming in and I had to keep my distance. I stunned him with an overhand and then I found him on the liver.”
Barrios was impressive from the start, using his length to pick off his opponent with powerful uppercuts in the opening minutes of the bout. Despite taking numerous clean power shots from Barrios throughout the battle, Rodriguez never stopped attacking and was able to occasionally frustrate Barrios with his relentless physicality.
The bout was eventually defined by the powerful body shots that Barrios dedicated himself to delivering throughout the fight. The consistent effort clearly slowed Rodriguez, who took more and more clean punches as the fight went on.
Early in round seven Barrios’ attack finally wore Rodriguez down as a series of punches culminating with the left to the body put Rodriguez on the canvas. Referee Zac Young quickly called off the bout 37 seconds into the round to give Barrios his third straight knockout victory.
“I want to fight everyone in the 140-pound weight class,” Said Barrios. “I’m going to take it one fight at a time and work my way up to a world title shot.”

As the action heated up in round four, Borrego connected with a massive left hook that stunned and bloodied Watts’ right eye.

Borrego kept up the attack and eventually sent Watts to the canvas with another left hand over two minutes into the round. While Watts returned to his feet, Borrego quickly cornered him and delivered another flurry that forced referee Jack Reiss to halt the bout 2:42 in die Runde.

“Leider, in the last twelve months, I’ve had two opponents come in overweight when I was scheduled to fight on national television. I was ready to fight both times but my team advised me to cancel the bouts because the fighters were at least 10 pounds above the contracted weight. Jose Luis Rodriguez is a very tough fighter who went the distant with Felix Verdejo, who many people consider a top prospect. I just hope Rodriguez makes weight and the fight happens because I’m ready to shine.”

“I’m just ready to get back to the top. I know that I have to climb the ladder and that’s what I’m here for.
“When I said that I was done, I was done. Eventually though I started getting that urge again, to get on that stage and perform on TV. My wife told me that if I wanted to fight again, I had to come back dedicated.
“It’s really cool to be fighting right after the Mexico vs. USA match. I’m a Mexican-American but I live in the United States so it’ll be USA vs. Mexico in the ring as well when I face Herrera.
“I know that I have a very skilled, tough opponent. He’s working with Juan Manuel Marquez and he’s very experienced. He’s faced some really tough opponents. It’s going to be a good fight to get back in the ring with.
“I felt like I needed a new voice in my corner. There’s nothing against (former trainer) Robert Garcia, I respect him and he got me to where I am today, but I felt like I got too used to that situation.
“I told (Rios’ trainer) Ricky Funez that I wanted to come back and have him train me and thankfully he was excited to work with me. We started working really hard and we took some time to get to know each other more and more.
“I Googled ‘Southern California boxing trainers’ and Ten Goose Boxing and Ricky came up, and I decided to hit him up. So I direct messaged him on Instagram and the rest is history.
“I feel like I’m in really good shape after working with a nutritionist for the first time. My nutritionist is with me 12 hours a day and it’s had me feeling great heading into this fight.
“I’ve always been a brawler, but I’m capable of boxing, especially with my inside game. The way I can deflect punches is a strength.

LAS VEGAS (Mai 31, 2017) – Errol Spence, Jr. brought an exhilarating conclusion to the month of May with a resounding 11th round knockout victory over Kell Brook to win a 147-pound world championship on Brook’s home turf of Sheffield, England. Spence’s exciting victory was presented live by Premier Boxing Champions on SHOWTIME this past Samstag Nacht.
