(September 28, 2018) – Premier Boxing Champions action will begin with Prelims live on FS1 and FOX Deportes this Sunday, September 30 as undefeated prospects look to show off their skills in exciting matchups beginning at 7:30 p.m. EN / 4:30 p.m. PT van Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Californië.

The 18-year-old Rodriguez (6-0, 4 KO) turned pro last year with four victories before adding two more triumphs in 2018. The Los Angeles-native will be opposed by the 31-year-old Reyes (8-3-3, 5 KO) out of Las Vegas Nevada who most recently fought to a draw against once-beaten Jesus Soler in July.

 

Alejandro (7-0, 6 KO) enters this fight on a six-fight knockout streak after winning a decision in his pro debut back in 2016. The 22-year-old Dallas-native looks for his third victory of the year when he goes up against 25-year-old Francisco Camacho (7-8-1, 3 KO) out of Tamaulipas, Mexico.

 

 

 

Representing his native Wales in the United Kingdom, Davies (7-0, 3 KO) has been busy in 2018, racking up five wins including his first six-round victory. The 24-year-old will make his U.S. debut on Sunday as he faces the 31-year-old Rankin (12-5-2, 9 KO) who fights out of Charlotte, Noord Carolina.

 

 

 

Na een geweldige amateurcarrière, the 19-year-old Juarez will step into the ring for the first time as a pro on September 30. He fights out of the Brownsville-area of Texas and is a motivational speaker for kids in the area while also attending the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. After winning bronze at the 2008 Olympische Spelen, Wilder knocked out his first 32 professional opponents inside of four rounds to earn a shot at WBC Heavyweight Champion Bermane Stiverne on Jan. 17, 2015. The Tuscaloosa, Ala., native defeated Stiverne via near-shutout decision, going the distance for the first time in his career to become America’s first heavyweight world champion since Shannon Briggs in 2007.

 

 

 

As WBC champion, Wilder has knocked out all seven of his world title challengers, including a devastating first-round knockout of Stiverne in a 2017 rematch. Fury shocked the world with a unanimous decision win over Klitschko in 2015, limiting the future Hall of Famer to the worst offensive output of his professional career. Subsequent battles with drugs, mental health and weight gain, along with a failure to face his mandatory challengers, cost Fury his belts and led to a nearly three-year hiatus from the sport.

 

 

 

Fury was triumphant in his long-awaited return on June 9 against Sefer Seferi, leading to a second comeback fight less than 75 days later against former world title challenger Francesco Pianeta. Weighing within 11 pounds of his fighting weight when he dethroned Klitschko, Fury displayed prime movement, hand speed and footwork in a shutout decision to earn the opportunity to become a two-time heavyweight world champion on December 1.

Back in April this year Emily Pugh made her professional debut, and boy oh boy did she do it in style. Emily and her opponent Jelizaveta Cerkasova, who was also making her pro debut, put on a master-class.

 

 

 

The contest was a true master-class, but not in the normal sense of the word as used within boxing circles, whereby one boxer ‘gave a master-class to their opponent’, oh no it was a true closely fought master-class of boxing full stop, one of the most enthralling boxing matches in a long, lange tijd, one that is only matched by the even more recent ‘Fight of the Year’ nominated World Boxing Council (WBC) Atomweight World Championship contest between Emily’s fellow British & Irish Boxing Authority licensed boxer, the former WBC Muay Thai World Champion Denise Castle and WBC World Youth & International Champion Fabiana Bytyqi.

TIJUANA, MX (September 27, 2018) – Undefeated heavyweight prospect kye Brooks (3-0, 2 KO) and fellow stablemate, zwaargewicht Jonathan Rijst (8-3-1, 4 KO), both who are managed by Greg Hannley van Prince Ranch Boxing, will be fighting in separate four-round bouts this Saturday, September 29, 2018, in Tijuana, MX.

 

 

 

Brooks, who last fought in April of this year, hails from Las Vegas, NV, and is trained by former two-time world champion Bones Adams. Standing 6’4, Brooks will look to extend on his undefeated record.

 

 

 

“I’m going to come out firing early in this fight,” said a confident Kye Brooks. “It’s been a few months since I last fought so I’m eager to get in the ring and do some damage. Mexico is like a second home to me since all my fights have took place there. I’ll be looking to get my third knockout.”

 

 

 

Rice, who is trained by former world champion, Wayne McCulloh, resides in Los Angeles, Californië. Rice recently fought in San Antonio, TX, eerder deze maand, where we won a lopsided six-round unanimous decision.

Zhora Hamazaryan: “I will beat-down Thomas Mattice in rematch”

PHILADELPHIA / ORANJE, Calif. (Zeven. 27, 2018) –Lichtgewicht Zhora Hamazaryan wants to show the world that he is indeed better then undefeated Thomas Mattice when they meet in the rematch of their controversial July 21st bout, this Friday night in the co-feature bout of a ShoBox: The New Generation card from Pechanga Resort Casino, and live on Showtime (10 PM ET / PT).

 

 

 

Hamazaryan (9-1, 6 KO) was on the wrong end of what most people thought was a very controversial decision on that July night in Sloan, Iowa. The native of Armenia has been in Los Angeles, training very hard for the rematch.

 

 

 

“Alles is perfect. My camp has been great, and I am just ready for Friday night,” said Hamazaryan.

 

 

 

Hamazaryan has been able to block out the first fight, and he believes that what happened in the ring has no bearing on what will happen on Friday.

 

 

 

“It is a totally new fight for me. I am taking this more seriously because this is a rematch. I did not lose the last fight, so it doesn’t make any difference to me. It will not change my game plan.”

 

 

 

De 22 year-old Hamazaryan feels the experience he gained in the first fight will be beneficial to him for even a more dominant performance.

 

 

 

“I feel like I am a champion. I will do great again, and perform even better. I took this fight to prove that I am better then him. I showed that in the previous fight, and now nothing can stop me.”

 

 

 

The decision was chastised throughout the boxing world, and even called the one of the worst decisions seen in ShoBox expert analyst Steve Farhood’s 40-year boxing career. Hamazaryan will not let the judges decide his fate in the rematch.

 

 

 

“Everyone was disappointed by decision because they saw clearly that I won. It was disappointing for the fans, but It did not break me. This time it won’t be a decision. I am going to do what I am good at. I will win this anyway, whether it’s a decision or knockout. Either way it’s going to be a beat down. Hopefully this will be the right the decision. I just hope everything will be fair, and I am coming for a win.”

Figueroa (16-0, 11 KO), the brother of former lightweight world champion Omar Figueroa, Jr., continues to climb the ladder in the featherweight division with a step up match against the tough former title challenger Escandon. The 21-year-old out of Weslaco, Texas was busy last year as he won all four of his matches and he has logged two knockout victories this year, beating Giovanni Delgado in March and Luis Roy Suarez Cruz in his last fight on August 4, with three of those six wins coming on FS1 and FOX Deportes.

 

 

 

De 34-jarige Escandon (25-4, 17 KO), who fought in the 2004 Olympian for Colombia, is a hardnosed veteran from Ibague, Colombia looking to rebound from two tough losses to Tugstsogt Nyambayar on May 26 on FS1 and WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. in 2017.

 

 

 

A 6-foot-6 heavyweight, Joyce (5-0, 5 KO) won the silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a super heavyweight from Great Britain and now trains in Big Bear, California with Abel Sanchez. The 32-year-old from London turned pro in 2017 and has been on a knockout roll since. Joyce, whose nickname is ‘Juggernaut,’ has ended four of his five fights inside of two rounds. He scored a first-round KO victory over Ivica Bacurin in his last fight on June 15.

 

Kiladze (26-3, 18 KO) is an experienced veteran who will test Joyce early in his young career. The 32-year-old out of Ukraine who now lives in Los Angeles and will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Michael Hunter and Adam Kownacki. Before those losses he had put together a six-match win streak.

World Ranked Yenifel Vicente Motivated To Face World Champion Isaac Dogboe

The explosive World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Latino Jr. Featherweight champion, Yenifel “El Rayo” Vicente (33-3-2, 25 KO), van de Dominicaanse Republiek, is hopeful that he’ll face WBO world champion Isaac Dogboe (20-0, 14 KO) van Ghana.

 

 

 

“I’m ready for a world title fight against the WBO world champion Dogboe. If we face each other, it will be a Fight Of The Year candidate because of our aggressive styles. We both like to go there and expect a war, and at the same time, we are not afraid of it. What better way than to give the fans an intense war? In his penultimate bout, held in April in Colombia, Vicente was crowned WBO Interim Latino Champion after defeating via 4th round technical knockout the local Walberto Ramos. Afgelopen augustus, Vicente successfully defended his title by knocking out Mexican Andrés García in the second round in Panamá.
