Montréal (Février 12, 2020) – Série de boxe de Dooly, présenté par Mise-O-Jeu, en association avec Vidéotron, est de retour au Cabaret du Casino de Montréal en 2020 avec cinq événements divertissants en mars 21, Mai 2, Juin 6, Octobre 24 et Décembre 12.

Fédération nord-américaine de boxe (NABF) champion poids mouche légerKim Clavel (11-0, 2 KOs) sera la vedette principale de cette série, et Mars 21 elle fera son Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) début. Clavel défendra son titre dans le main event de 10 rounds contre son challenger mexicain, ancien champion du mondeEsmeralda Moreno (35-12-2, 11 KOs).

Moreno est un Conseil mondial de boxe à deux reprises (WBC) Champion du monde poids mouche, régnant de 2012-2013 et encore en 2017. Elle est 3-4-1 dans les combats de championnat du monde et actuellement classé au Non. 2 selon le site indépendant BoxRec.com. Je sais que j'approche ce prochain niveau dans ma carrière, donc je dois rester vif et dans la salle de gym pour performer au niveau suivant.

«Je me dirige vers le Colorado pour terminer le camp d’entraînement. C’est là que se trouve le centre d’entraînement olympique, et c'est un endroit où je suis allé plusieurs fois pour terminer mon camp. L'air est meilleur là-haut et cela m'aide vraiment à être en meilleure forme avant le combat.

**DeLomba:** «Le camp d'entraînement se déroule à merveille. Je reçois tout ce dont j'ai besoin pour me préparer au combat: nutrition, plans de repas, et force et conditionnement. J'ai ajouté un nouvel entraîneur de force et de conditionnement et j'ai peaufiné les choses pour m'adapter au style de Hitchins. Je suis prêt à partir et je ne peux pas attendre la nuit de combat. "

***Quel est votre plan de match pour ce combat?***

**Hitchins: "**Mon plan de match est le même pour chaque combat. Restez calme et soyez le premier à frapper. Je suis à un moment de ma carrière où la concurrence devient de plus en plus difficile, donc le principal pour moi est de garder ma défense serrée. Ma défense me maintiendra en forme pendant les combats alors que la compétition devient raide. Mais globalement, J'ai toujours la mentalité que je suis le meilleur, plus intelligent, et combattant plus rapide.

«Je m'entoure de champions. C’est la seule façon d’en devenir un et ce combat me rapproche un peu plus. »

**DeLomba:** «Je prévois d’entrer et de me battre intelligemment; respecter le plan de match que mon équipe a pour moi et bien l'exécuter. Mon objectif est de surmonter tout ce qu'il essaie de me lancer.

***Que savez-vous de votre adversaire?***

**Hitchins:** «Je ne sais pas grand-chose. C'est lui que mon équipe a choisi pour moi, alors je vais juste faire le travail et le sortir. La nuit de combat, J'aurai une idée plus claire de la façon de le faire sortir. Je peux m'adapter à tout.

**DeLomba:** «Je sais que mon adversaire a des mains rapides et aime lancer des tirs rapides. Je suis complètement concentré sur moi-même et ma formation. Je crois en mes capacités de combattant. Je ne suis pas intimidé. "

***Quelle sera une victoire en février 28^e faites pour votre carrière à l'avenir?***

**Hitchins:** «Une autre victoire me porte au niveau suivant. J'ai faim, Je viens de rien, donc je reste avec une puce sur mon épaule. MANCHESTER, Conn. (Février 12, 2020) – Women’s pioneerJackie Kallen, the first and arguably most successful female manager in the boxing history, strongly believes unbeaten 21-year-old“Marvelous” Mykquan Williams (15-0-1, 7 KOs) will develop into her sixth world champion.

Williams, combats à East Hartford, CT, is the reigning the World Boxing Council (WBC) Champion des États-Unis super léger.

“Mykey has a lot of the qualities as some of the greats in boxing,” Kallen said. “He has some of the flash and speed of fighters like Ray Leonard, and the training habits and dedication of Thomas Hearns et Mike Tyson. He also has a killer smile and good looks like Hector Camacho, Sr.

“Mykey can go all the way to a world title. He has the speed, attitude, and heart, along with exceptional boxing ability. He has been groomed perfectly by his trainer, Paul Cichon, who has kept Mykey true to his style, working hard to perfect his skill. Mykey trains hard, eats right, and takes the game seriously.”

“Jackie’s very experienced and knowledgeable in boxing,” Williams remarked. “She’s worked with some great, world-class fighters, so she knows the route to take for me to get there.”

Cichon added, “I sought out Jackie as our manager because of her love for the sports, as well as the knowledge of that she brings to the table. She’s very well respected, as she certainly deserves to be.”

Boxing has dramatically changed since Kallen covered her first fight for a Detroit daily newspaper in 1978. The card showcased Hearns andMickey Goodwin. She became an instant fan and wrote about boxing on a regular basis. A legendary trainer/manager based in Detroit, Emanuel Steward, hired her as a publicist for his famed Kronk Gym. Some of her best friends to this day are fighters who she worked with back then. She and Hearns still get together.

After serving as Kronk’s publicist for a decade, Kallen decided to branch out and she started managing fighters. Her first client was heavyweightBobby Hitz, who today is a successful promoter and restaurateur in Chicago. She went on to manage a group of Who’s Who fighters, including world championsJames Toney, Bronco McKart, Tom “Boom Boom” Johnson, Pinklon Thomas etNonito Donaire.

Kallen, who overcame sexism in the boxing industry, is best known, peut-être, for her working relationship with Toney, largely because her life during that period was the inspiration for the popular 2004 film, Against the Ropes, starringMeg Ryan as Kallen.

“Boxing today is a totally different animal,” she explained. “That’s not to say it’s better or worse, just different. There used to be more gyms in every city, heavy amateur programs, lots of shows on television networks, and enough local club shows to keep a young fighter active. “There are also more sanctioning organizations today. Back then it was most the WBA, WBC and IBF. Not to mention there was never one person who managed dozens and dozens of boxers at the same time. The game has definitely changed!"

Kallen, though is still heavily invested in the sport she loves. Confident Williams will be her next world champion, her dream is to be inducted into the Hall of Fame with Toney.

“In 1992,” Kallen concluded, “I was named ‘Manager of the Year’ and my love for the sport has never waned. As long as there is talent out there needing guidance, I will stay active.”

George will look to transition from prospect to contender by defeating Escudero again on March 28.

Escudero (10-1, 9 KOs) will look to bounce back and even the score against George, and in turn bolster his own position in the light heavyweight division. The 26-year-old from Buenos Aires, Argentina has fought primarily in the U.S. since turning pro in 2017. His amateur career saw him become a national champion in Argentina in 2014 and represent his country in the Pan-Am Games in 2015. Escudero currently trains in Miami and scored three stoppage wins in 2019 before facing George for the first time.

Banner Promotions Signs Undefeated Heavyweight Isaac Munoz Gutierrez to a Co-Promotional Deal with United Promotions

Philadelphie, Pennsylvanie. – Février 11, 2020 – Banner Promotions has signed undefeated heavyweight Isaac Munoz Gutierrez to a co-promotional deal with United Promotions.
