Hughie Fury added to Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko Card

Manchester, Lancashire, Vereinigtes Königreich (Mai 4, 2016) – Undefeated heavyweight sensation Hughie Fury will appear in a featured bout on the undercard of the world heavyweight championship rematch between unified champion Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko Samstag, Juli 9 an der Manchester Arena.

The bout will take place in front of more than 21,000 fans and be seen by millions more around the world on various television outlets.

Widely regarded as one of the best young heavyweights on the planet, the 21-year-old Fury has an outstanding 20-0 ledger with 10 gewinnt durch KO. April 30 in London, Fury scored a clear-cut technical decision over tricky switch hitter Fred Kassi to capture the WBO Intercontinental championshipwhen the fight was stopped early due to an accidental clash of heads. Cintron, who for most of the last decade was a heralded prospect, turned world champion, is reuniting with the team started him to his journey.
“Everything has been great for this camp and I got excellent sparring and I am ready to go,” Said Cintron.
The Reading, Pennsylvania native is happy to fighting just forty-five minutes away from his hometown. He will making his first appearance in the “City of Brotherly Love” in fifteen years.

“Fighting in Philly is exciting. I will have lots of family, friends from school and other friends be able to drive and see the fight. It is a great opportunity for them to watch me live. It’s been a long time but I am looking forward to it.”

Most of Cintron’s fights in the past decade have been high-profile fights that have been seen in on premium cable television. Cintron is taking this stage of his career one fight at a time.
“It is all up to my promoter Marshall Kauffman and King’s Promotions. When he says that I am ready for a bigger fight, that is when we will move to that. I am just trying to get my feet wet again. I am excited for this opportunity and to be back with Marshall. Marshall and Joe Pastore trained me to get to the top. Now Joe is training me and Marshall is promoting me and I am happy to be back with them. I am just trying to get back to being my old self again. I have been working on walking my opponents down.”
This fight is ticketed for 154 Pfund, but Cintron has eyes on welterweight glory again.
“We will slowly work our way down and see how my body feels. This will be at 154. The next fight, I am looking at 150-151 and then hopefully 147.”
In Flores, Cintron is fighting an experienced foe who has been in the ring with former world champion Carlos Baldomir plus a bevy of contenders and prospects.
“I really do not know much on him other then he has fought a bunch of good fighters and he is from Ecuador. I just expect me to be my old self and if that is the case, a knockout should be happening am Freitag.”

Britain’s Joshua To Defend IBF World Title Against American Dominic Breazeale

Samstag, Juni 25 at The O2 in London In First Fight Of New Deal

 

LONDON (Mai 4, 2016) – SHOWTIME Sports and Matchroom Boxing announced on Wednesday a multi-fight licensing agreement for Showtime Networks Inc., to be the exclusive U.S. television partner of undefeated heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua. The announcement was made today at the Hilton Syon Park outside London by Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President und General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports and Eddie Hearn, President of Matchroom Sports.

 

The multi-fight agreement kicks-off on Samstag, Juni 25 when Joshua, a British sensation, attempts to make the first defense of his IBF Heavyweight World Championship against undefeated American challenger Dominic Breazeale at the sold-out The O2 arena in London. The addition of this heavyweight title fight, airing live on Showtime Networks in the late afternoon, bolsters a big day for boxing as later that evening on CBS, SHOWTIME will present the first live primetime boxing event on the CBS Television Network in nearly 40 Jahre.

 

Joshua, 26, has compiled a perfect knockout record of 16-0 mit 16 knockouts since turning professional shortly after winning the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal. Früher in diesem Jahr, Joshua earned the IBF world championship with a second-round knockout of defending champion Charles Martin on SHOWTIME, earning a heavyweight belt in the fewest number of fights in more than 20 Jahre. The 30-year-old Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) has knocked out nearly 90 percent of his opponents since turning professional after representing the United States at the 2012 Olympiade. Standing at 6-foot-7, the Los Angeles native is one inch taller than the 6-foot-6 Joshua. The former NCAA football quarterback is coming off a career-best victory of previously once-beaten Amir Mansour on Jan. 23.

 

Joshua vs. Breazeale will be the fifth heavyweight title bout to air live on SHOWTIME in the first six months of 2016, joining a stellar schedule that features many of the top-rated fighters in boxing’s deepest and most exciting divisions.

 

Auch Samstag, Juni 25, Keith Thurman will defend his WBA Welterweight World Championship against former titlist Shawn Porter in a blockbuster matchup of two of the world’s best 147-pound fighters, Leben zu 9 p.m. UND/6 p.m. PT. Leider, some standout athletes believe their talents supersede performing in the classroom. This has led to high schools and colleges warning or suspending players if their grades didn’t improve.
On the contrary, there are those who take great pride in starring as an athlete and student; such as 17-year-old Joey Veazey.
Known by his moniker of “Bazooka Joe” Veazey is multi-time amateur champion and was ranked internationally. Am DonnerstagAbend, Veazey fights Chris Perkins for the East Coast junior middleweight championship at Michael’s Eighth Ave in Glen Burnie, MD as a featured fighter on a card promoted by Baltimore Boxing.
The card serves as a tribute to Murray “Bushwacker” Smith Sr., father of Baltimore Boxing’s Jake Smith. Schmied, who has literally watched Veazey grow as a person and fighter during the last decade, has trained hundreds of fighters and considers Bazooka Joe one of his most special.
"Joey could’ve told himself boxing will be his everything because of how successful he’s been but he’s extremely humble and intelligent far beyond his years,", Sagte Smith. “He literally goes from one task to another and excels at each of them. Whether he’s a world champion boxer, engineer, computer scientist or all of the above, Joey Veazey epitomizes what it means to be a well-rounded person and I’m very proud of him.”

Former basketball star Stefon “Showtime” McRay and future pro standout Donald Wallace will also appear on the card in separae bouts.

WBO Champion Amanda Serrano calls out IBF Champion Jennifer Han for a world title unification bout

April 22, 2016, history was made in Puerto Rico’s professional boxing, when a female boxing match was the featured bout of the evening, held in the city of Trujillo Alto, where the four-time world champion in three divisions, Amanda 'The Real Deal’ Serrano ( 28-1-1, 21 KO ) defeated the number 6th ranked, Edina ‘DNA’ Kiss of Budapest, Hungary by TKO in the fourth round.
Just a week later, IBF featherweight world champion, Jennifer Han of El Paso, Texas, was also in a main event match in front of her people from El Paso, and defeated Colombian, Calixta Silgado via unanimous decision in a ten round fight.
“I think the timing is perfect!” Amanda Serrano said, “We both come from recent fights, both of us scored victories and are uninjured and in great condition. Women’s boxing and our fans deserve to see who is the best featherweight in a unification bout”.
Han ( 14-3-1, 1 KO ) has fought her last four fights in her hometown of El Paso, Texas.
“It’s funny because a few weeks ago I had my first fight in Puerto Rico, and have fought in the United States, Schweiz, Argentina and Dominican Republic. True Champions often leave their comfort zone to prove they are the real deal in boxing. Ich bin immer bereit,” Said Serrano, who is the current WBO featherweight World Champion.

On Target: Team Gunn goes 2-0 in Indiana!

Hackensack, NJ (Mai 3, 2016) – Undefeated middleweight Bobby Gunn Jr. and debuting cruiserweight Henry Stewart, both of Hackensack, NJ, scored victories last Saturday at the Tyndall Armory in Indianapolis, IM.

Coming off more than a year layoff, Gunn Jr. met hardcore veteran Guy Packer. Gunn Jr., who was regularly in the gym during the layoff, was the sharper fighter. Packer, ein 20 year pro that fought the likes of Cornelius Bundrage, Michael Oliveira, Dominique Dalton, J'Leon Liebes, Vernon Paris & Joe Greene among others, looked to use his experience against his 19-year-old foe. Gunn Jr. boxed well however, the bout was halted on multiple occasions due to issues with the ring and canvas. In the fourth and final round with Gunn Jr. hoping to close the show, there was yet another issue with the ring and the bout was sent to the scorecards early.

Scores waren 39-37 twice and a head-scratching 38-38.

Gunn Jr is now 6-0 mit 4 gewinnt durch KO.

Stewart, a cousin of the Gunn Family, made his professional debut one to remember by destroying Darrel Sohm in 25 Sekunden. A hard hook followed by a straight right put Sohm down and showed the boxing world that the 21-year-old Stewart enters the paid ranks with heavy hands.

“I’m very proud of my guys,” said Bobby Gunn Sr., a former IBA cruiserweight champion and Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Famer who manages and trains both fighters. “Little Bobby was working hard in the gym during the layoff and was fine tuning a number of things. He also grew into his body and is now a solid middleweight. Henry on the other hand is a good sleeper prospect. He’s has excellent power in both hands and will continue to improve in all aspects.”

The next bouts for Gunn Jr. and Stewart will be announced shortly.

In der letzten Woche oder so hat sich die Weltpresse stark auf die kürzlich angekündigten 9th Juli Tyson Fury-Wladimir Klitschko WBO-WBA-IBO Unified Heavyweight Championships Rematch. Ganz zu Recht, es ist ein riesiger kampf, allerdings nur eine Woche früher, ein ebenso weltbedeutender Einigungskampf wird auch hier im Vereinigten Königreich stattfinden.

 

Juli 2nd, in der Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Welt #15 und Briten #1 Rangliste Marianne Marston wird nicht nur Südafrikas World Boxing Federation herausfordern (WBFed) Superbantamgewichts-Weltmeisterin Gabisile Tshabalala für ihre begehrte Krone, wird aber auch die World Boxing Union anstreben (WBU), Internationaler Frauen-Boxverband (WIBA) und Universal Boxing Organisation (UBO) Weltweite Auszeichnungen.

 

Marston . mit Sitz in London, der ursprünglich im Dezember Unathi Myekeni für die Bantamgewichtsversion des WBFed-Riemens herausfordern sollte, das war, bis Myekeni nach einer Handverletzung zum Rückzug gezwungen wurde, freut sich eindeutig über die verspätete Gelegenheit, als sie deutlich gemacht, als sie sprach früher.

 

„Ich kann WBFed-Präsident Howard Goldberg nicht genug dafür danken, dass dies geschehen ist, wie ich war er so enttäuscht, als Unathi (Lass ihn in Ruhe) letztes Jahr verletzt ausgezogen.

 

Neben Howard, Ich möchte auch dem WIBA-Präsidenten Ryan Wissow danken, WBU-Präsident Don Lewis und Sebastien Pitois von der UBO, da sie mich während meiner gesamten Karriere so unterstützt haben, Also auch um ihre Meisterschaften herauszufordern ist wirklich etwas Besonderes für mich.

 

Ich bin jetzt zweiundvierzig, so ehrlich gedacht, nachdem Unathi ausgezogen war, das wars für mich, Ich werde nie die Chance bekommen, um einen WM-Titel zu kämpfen, Okay das stimmt nicht ganz, Ich hätte um einen vakanten Titel kämpfen können, aber mir ist das einfach nicht gut genug, Ich möchte das Beste zu kämpfen, Ich will den Weltmeister schlagen.

 

Ich habe ein Video von Gabisile gesehen, als sie gegen Shannon kämpfte (O'Connell) in 2013, würde aber sehr gerne ein Video von ihr finden, als sie letztes Jahr den WM-Titel gewonnen hat. Ich weiß, wie sehr ich mich verändert habe, weise kämpfen, seit 2013 Ich möchte also wirklich sehen, ob sich ihr Stil oder ihre Taktik ändert.

 

Von dem, was ich gesehen habe, sie ist eine klasse kämpferin, sehr schnelle hände. Als sie gegen Shannon kämpfte, sie war hauptsächlich Gegenschlag, was würde mir passen, aber aus irgendeinem Grund habe ich das Gefühl, dass sie als Titelverteidigerin einen ganz anderen Ansatz verfolgen wird.

 

So oder so, das wird ein toller Kampf für die Fans, Es gibt solche Kontraste in unseren Stilen und meiner Meinung nach sind es diese Unterschiede in Stil und taktischer Herangehensweise, die diesen Kampf zu einem so großartigen Kampf machen werden.

 

Britisches Boxen boomt, wir haben momentan so viele Weltmeister, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Kell Brook, Carl Frampton, Lee Selby, Liam Smith, Jamie McDonnell, Lee Haskins, Tony Moran, Craig Docherty, Terry Flanagan, Anthony Crolla, James DeGale und natürlich mein alter Turnkollege beim TKO, Billy Joe Saunders.

 

Offensichtlich sind sie alle Männer, Also möchte ich das Defizit ein wenig ausgleichen und mich ihnen anschließen, sowie die erste britische Boxerin, die zum Weltmeister gekrönt wurde, seit Jane Couch 2004 Jaime Clampitt um den IWBF-Titel besiegte.“
