1ST ANNUAL ROBERT “DER GEIST” GUERRERO FIGHT NIGHT AMATEUR BOXING EVENT

GALT, SOWIE (September 15, 2016) – Diese Samstag, September 17, 2016, the first annual Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero Fight Night amateur boxing event will take place at the Guerrero’s Boxing Gym in Galt, Calif. Thirty separate bouts with fighters from California and Nevada will compete. A “Be The Match” bone marrow drive will take place from 11:00 a.m. bis 1:00 p.m.
“This will be a great event for amateur fighters of all ages,” sagte Robert Guerrero. “I remember when I was a kid competing in events like this, all I could think about was winning a trophy of some kind. So I’m happy to announce that first and second place participants will receive an award. Außerdem, I’m going to do my part to help save lives by registering people into the bone marrow registry. Flagg of Detroit won his only professional bout as he stopped Josh Puchala in 48 seconds on 10. April.

Unbeaten Prospect Marcos Hernandez Wins Unanimous Decision Over Antonio Urista In Super Welterweight Showdown

NICE, CALIF. (September 13, 2016) – Chicago Eddie Ramirez (15-0, 10 KOs) scored a seventh round knockout of Kevin Watts (11-1, 4 KOs) in a battle of unbeaten super lightweight prospects that served as the main event of Premier Boxing Champions TOE-bis-Fuß DIENSTAGS auf FS1 und Boxing Champions on FOX Deportes Tuesday night from Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino in Nice, Kalifornien.
Ramirez was determined to be the busier fighter, but it was Watts who scored the first big blow of the night when he caught Ramirez with a right uppercut that dropped his opponent for the first time in his career.
The Chicago-born prospect stepped up the attack after the knockdown and began to dominate the fight with his work rate and body punching. The jab was another effective weapon for Ramirez and it allowed him to navigate the distance and push Watts against the ropes.
Watts was unable to put his punches together and Ramirez became more emboldened in his attack as the fight went on and Watts began to wear down. Ramirez had a 488 bis 348 advantage in punches thrown while connecting on 170 punches to Watts’ 130.
The relentless attack eventually paid dividends as Ramirez trapped Watts with a flurry of body punches and eventually put Watts down to the mat. He was unable to beat the count and the fight was waved off at 1:37 in der siebten Runde.
The co-main event of the night saw super welterweight prospect Marcos “Madman” Hernandez (9-0, 2 KOs) earn a unanimous decision over Detroit’s Antonio Urista (7-2, 2 KOs) in their eight-round bout.
Hernandez controlled the fight with his length advantage and superior accuracy while Urista attempted to outwork his opponent. The fight was full of exchanges from start to finish as both fighters loaded up on power punches throughout the night.
Round three saw Hernandez begin to break through and land big, clean shots on Urista, who was staggered by a right hand midway through the round. Hernandez’s steady attack had an effect on Urista in the form of his mouthpiece falling out three times. In der fünften Runde, the third instance prompted the referee to deduct a point from Urista.

The bout is scheduled for ten rounds and is the main event of Premier Boxing Champions’ “Toe to Toe Tuesday” series on Fox Sports 1.
ugas, who captured a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics for his native Cuba, ist 16-3 mit 7 wins by knockout as a professional. August 12, Ugas soundly defeated previously unbeaten Jamal James over ten rounds. The well-schooled Cuban has never been stopped and two of his defeats came via split decision.
To prepare for the challenge, Perrella’s been training with world class fighters from all over the world. The Fort Myers native has put in additional time in all aspects of his training from bag work to cardio, strength training and sparring. By pushing himself to the limits in his training camp, Perrella’s confident the hard work will help him accomplish exactly what he’s looking for on fight night.

Tevin Farmer ready for all comers

Philadelphia (September 13, 2016)–Hot junior lightweight Tevin Farmer is ready for the biggest fights between the featherweight and lightweight divisions.
Farmer of Philadelphia has won 15 fights in a row and is now ranked number-five by the WBC at 130-pounds.
In seinem letzten Kampf, Farmer put on a masterful performance in a virtual shutout over highly regarded Ivan Redkach on Juli 30 in Brooklyn, New York.
“First I want to thank Ivan Redkach for taking the fight. I really do. Because he gave me an opportunity to showcase my skills. No one else was biting. Ivan is a warrior. The fight itself was just me being me. Showing I’m one of the best fighters in the world. I took the fight at 135 because I literally can’t get a fight in my weight class. I don’t want to come off as thirsty but no one wants this work. So I had to take on a bigger and taller guy but I’m used to that. Skills are what wins fights so I was good with it.”
One fighter that Farmer is thinking about is contender Gervontae Davis. Davis has been rumored to be facing Farmer’s stablemate Jason Sosa for the WBA title.

“I would love that fight but honestly he would be a step backwards for me at this point. He’s in a good position with Floyd Mayweather and he should appreciate it. They are quietly slowing him down because they know he’s not ready. We have had our share of back and forth on social media but the ball is in his court. Sometimes the fans get fooled. A fight between us is simple to make all he has to do is tell Floyd he wants it. Floyd is the most powerful man in the sport. He could get the fight done easy. Davis came to Philly and asked to spar me. That showed me all I needed to know about Gervontae Davis. Why would we spar for free when we can get paid to fight? He doesn’t want to fight me and it’s time to move on.”

Farmer is coming home to on Oktober 14 to fight Orlando Rizo at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Farmer is not looking past Rizo, aber die 26 year-old native of Philadelphia is looking for the fighters between 126 und 135 Pfund.
